this handheld gives me hope for the future of hand helds
Ryzen fans forget about the i7 1165g7 hand held which offers wayyy more performance with higher fps numbers at 1080p
@@rishaejayrajh19 we definitely chose this form factor over the Win 3
@@rishaejayrajh19 I'm neither side. But Of course we all prefer powerful handheld. But sadly, aya neo design is way better than gpd. I wish that gpd win 3 is bigger and has a better design. I will choose it without a doubt.

just got my NEO from an Ebay auction... i almost cried playing KH1 Final Mix in the palms of my hands. the power of this beast is unspeakable
I am so glad you are tinkering this little beast and uploading the video while I am waiting for mine to arrive in June. Like you said "it's absolutely amazing"
I am excited to see how such APUs will be in like 5 years!
mybe we dont need GPUs anymore
Probably we will reach a point were APUs will be powerful enough to run any game at ultra or "addapted" settings to get the best quality posible. They could be a middle ground between a console and a pc
@@der-Troet well you will as apus will be limited with v ram
I think APUs will greatly improve next year, since AMD gonna abandon AM4 socket next year and gonna go with AM5, with new socket, there are rumors that they are gonna enable DDR5 ram compatibility, which runs twice as fast as current DDR4 rams, so yea, it’s gonna be great for APUs next year
@@rastu8884 APUs don’t have VRAM, they used computer’s ram as vram, and the amount isn’t a limitation, but the speed is
This is incredibly cool, and a helpful perspective.
Thank you for these videos and coverage.
I can’t wait to finally get my hands on this.
Excellent video, per usual! Really enjoy your content on the items you review! Very thorough as well as informative. Much thanks indeed!!
Ayyy I requested cyberpunk a few weeks ago, thank you for benchmarking the game on the system!!!!
Really nice performance! And that clear case is gorgeous
Great video, I would love to see a similar video to this but with the GPD Win Max, plugged into the wall with high TDP and tuning to see performance differences from stock.
Finally a notification at the right time! NEO very epic
you are a king! I've ben using Ryzen Controller for a while now and didn't realize there was a much simpler option. No need to configure, just apply presets!
Ehhh... As the person who made this possible for Ryzen 4000 series, it's really not that easy. AATU > Ryzen Controller. I have personally been encouraging TDP adjustments for about thr last year talking with content creators and the like. Im honestly just glad OEMS give us performance settings in their software out of the box. I am working on some more powerful features like undervolting and igpu overclocking but the progress has been slow.
Those settings just helped me run Spider-Man remastered on my 2021 ayaneo 4500u thanks a ton.
jumping to a new standard of ram speed will be a huge step for those devices, and apus in general, by now I'm looking forward to a aya neo, sekiro on the go babe!!!!
That and when we get the RDNA based APUs
i love seeing this, one day i get one, until then i just enojoy your vids !!!
They are starting to get good enough to seriously want though. :)

Thanks for posting this is awesome :)

I'm excited.
A friend of mine helped me to back the black case version with its dock hours after the Indiegogo went live.
Didn't made it into the first 500 anymore so mine will arrive around June or July, but it should be plenty for those PC games that I play most of the time (outside of VR and Cyberpunk 2077, that is).
How is it? I love mine
@@therunawaykid6523 So do I.
Using it for GOG and Gamepass titles mostly but also Dreamcast emulation which feels great.
Wow that's a handheld beast for steam gaming, thx 👍 I definitely asked and you delivered.
bro you are a legend!!!!
Hope it has good sales so we see a successor!!
I think we will see one. The Aya team didn't start this project with the goal to make money. They are also gaming enthusiasts. Their plan is to release more hardware and they also talked about custom software. Even a custom OS. It's definitely going to be an interesting journey.
It wont sell good, 1600 is too much for a handheld period.
@@polothedon it's not $1600. It starts at ~$650.

Thank you for including Genshin. Exactly what I wanted this device for.
Saphire rappids and zen4/5 apu's.. Oh man this is gonna be amazing !
Really impressed
So this little bad boy is around $500? Definitely gonna try to get one if they're available for the holidays this year. So cool.
Can’t wait to see what DDR5 brings to the table for these handhelds. Since most of these portable or APU devices are bandwidth limited in general! Wish they could implement a cache of some sort if HBM is too expensive as things sit right now.
It always comes down to battery life that can hold many things back.
I hope sometime within the next 5 to 10 years, there will some revolutionary change to batteries that would let us power these electronics devices for weeks to months at a time (even if we were using the device at full power most of it). I know this is probably just a wishful thinking dream, but I can always hope.
I will buy one whenever I can... I really like this
We need a battery revolution!
We need solid state batteries or Aluminum batteries. They are the future.
@@rajatdani619 they are currently in the works at the moment Tesla as well as Toyota are working on separate projects hopefully within the next few years they will be publicly available around 2025 yes that is the car versions but that will trickle into tech companies around similiar times

Watched all your vids! Got a device with a 6800u on the way - are you able to do this same test with a 6800u device on a 65 inch tv running at 1080p?
Great OverClocking App for Laptops, sweet man
Has there been done a teardown video on this one yet? I believe not. I know it’s a clear case, but i’m really interested in the board, manufacturer, components,....in detail. But like aaaaalways😀thanks🙏
I love that these are becoming normal. But if we are talking practical, i want to get my hands on the alienware ufo. It is basically an exact replica of the switch but for pc gaming.
I ordered the black version but man I would have loved the clear version
Amazing. 1080p_60 fps is more fluent than most games one XBox One. With the option to tweak games either for 60 fps oder locked 30 fps you get a performance compared to last gen consoles. Somewhere between One S and One X.
For such a portable device and the ability to play almost every PC game, all the free goodies from EPIC, UPlay or amazon gaming and you can also run "normal" PC programs ... it's kind of a perfect compromise. I hope to get my hands on one of these!
It would be kind of devilish to make a video exclusively on Playstation games running on this mobile device. I dont know if Horizon Zero Dawn does, but you already showed RDR2 and you got some older PS2 games via emulation?! ... It's kind of a peek what a "Vita 2" or "Vita X" could provide ...
But for me ... such a device would be perfect for long games like Witcher 3, Morrowind, Skyrim, Assassins Creed Unity/ Black Flag/ Odyssey or Immortals Fenyx Rising to play these games while commuting. It would be perfect so "use" the time for gaming and have the ability to play in 1080p in docked mode when at home.
Can you please show some Black Desert Gameplay , im wondering how well it would play
Ryzen 5500u will be a boost to this baby,6c12t goodness in handhelds shud be good enough

Try to run Metal Gear Solid 4 on the RPCS3 emulator please! It would be great!
Now imagine THIS but with FSR. Crazy good.
In your opinion What mini/small pc do you recommend for emulation upto ps3? Thanks and love the content
Also wanna add the new Aya space update 1/2/201 now lete you adjust custom tdp from 3 to 30. also Aya space adds joystick mouse and vibration adjustment.
Stop teasing us lol. Sucks that we gotta wait for long time to get one. But happy to see another AYA Neo video
Not too long. About 3-4 months tops. They say we'll get it by May. I give it till June
@@MrREAPERsz did you get the perk?
@@MsEddiepark yeah I went for it. They're going pretty fast and I trust Aya will have it at my doorstep in a few months.
@@MrREAPERsz the reviews about the indiegogo website isn’t looking too good for me and that’s what’s stopping me from buying it. I know they’re not a scam but they did promise to deliver last year and it got delayed. I’m starting to have doubts that they’ll be able to deliver by this year.
Nice unit, but that price is a killer! With luck they will get a mass production deal and knock about $200 of the price. Though as I just spent nearly $900 on a Samsung tablet, I'm not going to be in the market for a handheld for a few months at least!
Waited for this long for the mobile CPU tech to catch up since the Razer edge pro..
I'd love to see 144hz displays on handhelds in the future. Currently it's a bit much for the battery I assume
Very powerful
This is the future. A completely handheld PC that you can play on the road and dock when home for gaming/coding. I think in a few more years this is going to be super viable and I won’t necessarily need a gaming PC or laptop.
What I wanted to see.
My gosh I want this so bad
You're probably already going to, but please make a 30 Watt TDP docked emulation performance video too. :)
God, I hope they do a RDNA apu unit once those apus drop
Along with its vastly superior API library, the Neo is also running on the same number of cores that the PS5/Series X(S) is. Its familiar architecture will see it outperform its Intel counterpart as the years tick by. Both systems are however lacking LPDDR5 and would have greatly benefited from it.
A few ini tweaks here and there and the Neo should have no problem running gen-8 titles with a decent framerate.
I know it's a handheld but about RAM, is it in dual channel? this is something important for APUs, This could be the future for gamers, as GPUs are becoming more and more expensive and less accessible, it would be a good start
I want this so when I start school back this fall lol
This is so cool i watch all of your vids❤️

Ok, this has a tremendous amount of potential. I also think the price points are correct. Sub $1000 for this much power handheld is extremely tempting.

once we get a Qualcomm chip that has hardware based x86 to ARM translation like the Apple M1, we could see way more PC handhelds like the AYA-Neo...

I'm intrigued to see how this thing would handle the developing og xbox emulation scene and 360 emulation at this tdp.

@@shokola6660 Idk, but he did show off 360 emulation briefly in that HP Pavilion emulation video. Whatever that one was, I guess.
Could you please also do a heavy emulation test on 30watt tdp? Yuzu, ps3 and xbox360?
Don't bother with xbox360 emulation on this, it just sucks from what I've seen. Anything else, you're probably looking at 30fps 720p no matter what you throw at it (excluding Switch games)
It's cool 😎😎😎😎
Wow, it can run Genshin? Even PS4 struggles~
Pretty powerful for a handheld.
Please play Starcraft 2 on the GPD Win 3 when you review it. Last time I’m going to ask. Either you haven’t seen my comment or don’t want to do it. Either way I don’t want to be cumbersome.
@ETA Prime - are you familiar with GamerOS? If so any chance your could try it on this handheld? Not sure if it supports that model Ryzen APU though but I'm trying to find out.
I think I know what I'll get myself for Christmas :)
I'd love to see a direct comparison between the Aya Neo and GPD Win 3. I'm still really not sure which one is the better device. Aya lacks Thunderbolt and has a bit less power, but a bigger screen, nicer design and better controls. Aya Neo generally seems to be the nicer device. It's also more efficient AFAIK.
Could you maybe test some racing games such as Project Cars? I'm really not sure if those digital triggers are a problem or not.
I think an in depth "quality of life" test video would be nice.
Taki upon compares them
@@Guitario666 I know :)
But I'd like to hear a second opinion and see an actual test of how digital triggers work in games with support for analog triggers. He showed Forza, but I'd just like a little showcase of how racing games play on digital triggers :)

there's a video of a guy putting liquid metal thermal paste on a onegx1 pro and dropped the thermals by 20 degrees under load i wonder what that would do for the aya neo
Damn looks sweet but the $$$ was out of my range by a long shot.
Amazing for a handheld, I just simply can not justify (in my own mind, not saying it's not possible in others of course) forking out over £600 on a handheld. I knew it was going to be pricey, but hey, there we go.
Yup it's essentially a handheld PC. I bought mine right away because I've always wanted a portable Playstation 2 and this thing will let me do that and more.
