Round trip from Hill City South Dakota to Keystone South Dakota on the Black Hill Central Railroad 1880 Train. the video begins with a few short clips of the train leaving Hill City then the remainder of the video is from inside the train capturing the beauty of the Black Hills and the thrill of riding the train.

Looks Exciting!!! The coolest thing about these is to imagine that Time..... before all the modernization of society.... people survived off the land in the freezing cold, etc etc....

Dear Phil,
I found a link on a blog that said that your grandfather was in Shoshone, WY and owned stores in the town in the 20s. (thermopoliswyoming.blogspot.jp/2009/04/shoshoni-wy-part-1.html) You said that you had pictures from that era.
I am wondering if in those pictures you would happen to have some of a man named H. Roe Bartle who was a professional scout in the region early in that time period. Also any pictures of scouting or the "Lone Bear" family from that time period would be interesting.

Hi Cullen,
The pictures I have are mostly of my late father and grandfather taken at the Shoshoni Mercantile Store which they owned. One picture does have an unidentified man sitting at the counter inside the Mercantile. I added you to my Google+ circle and will upload that picture for you to look at. It's a long shot but hope it may help you out.
