Hi both. You say there’s a time restriction on Companion vchrs. Is there any time restriction on Virgin Points or can you save them as an ongoing value to spend in say 4yrs’ time? Thank you for very informative vlog, I’m off to persuade hubby to consider a V Cr Card.

I thought they did too, but I've just googled and the rules have changed and they no longer do.
The miles did (as I thought) but actually since changing to points they no longer do.
Here's more info if you need it:

I don't know if you know but points are capped too per month
Example credit limit £1000 your max points that month would be 1500 even if you spent £4000.
It is 1.5 per pound to your credit limit. Sorry hope that makes sense.
Thanks for this video its really informative 😊

I'm so pleased you have booked using your points 😍
I know what you mean. If it wasn't for my friend years ago, I wouldn't have had a clue either.
      Thanks xx

We booked our first reward flights for our trip next May, with there only being 2 reward seats per flight I ended up booking out outbound and return flights seperately as I didbt want to risk missing them. Using points it cost us £1400 for our two premium reward seats there and back in taxes which I was happy to pay.

Don’t forget Tesco points can be changed for Virgin points

Thanks for the tips. I'm a newbie at this & just booked our first point flights to Atlanta next year. have to say I was sweating on the return flights as the outgoing were disappearing while we were waiting for the return leg to be released. I would say be flexible on dates just in case as I had to tweak mine on the end.

Glad it was helpful! It is nerve wracking isn't it?! Glad you booked. Happy Trip Planning : )

Definitely nerve wracking as we are tied to school holidays and I've had the concept for this holiday 18 months ago when I first started saving points. Now the flights are booked I can start putting it all together. Already booked car and week in cabin in the Smoky Mountains. Now watching your blogs for more ideas on where to go. As a fellow WD fan I can see me picking up a few more tips

Hi your video was super informative, I’ve heard that some bank accounts do offer lounge access which bank are you referring to in your video may be worth switching if the benefits are good - thanks

I don’t understand the companion flight thingy. We’ve got about 500k points (via the VA CC) at the moment and spend about 2-6k per month. How is the companion flight accessed or executed?
I’m bemused by the extortionate fuel and tax charges on VA. Does the plane fly faster?

Hi, Thank you, really helpful as always.
Do you both have flying club or do you just need 1 per family? We flew as a family of 3 (2a and 1 child) to orlando and got 12000 points... but not sure if that was just for me, or for both adults... and if just one, should we claim the other adult and build those as well? Thank you x

Hi, Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply.
We have an account each. I collected for the kids too, so they both could collect their own miles. (giving them a little start for when they want to use them on their own one day).
I've always done it like that so not sure if one person can collect for the whole family, plus things do change.
Best calling up Flying club and asking so you know for sure xx

Hi, I collect Flying Club Points and Reward Vouchers but have never been able to book online because the points are scattered between 3 other family members (wife and 2 children). Is is possible to book a companion seat online? I've never seen an option to use reward vouchers online or to select a companion seat?? Must it all be done on the telephone? Thank you!

    • @AdeandLisa
      @AdeandLisa  Před 5 měsíci

Hi. Unfortunately, you have to call to book companion seats 🙁
