The CEO of Pearl Abyss, Jin-Young Heo, has said that the company aims to drop Crimson Desert in autumn 2023. Since this window has been missed now, many people reckon - after the trailer at Gamescom event - it'll drop early in 2024. I'll update this page as soon as I know the exact date, or get more info on the date.

You need to check black desert online as well, the visuals, animation and combat are insane that's why you don't believe crimson desert gonna be like that.
The latest rumor is that there will be one more trailer coming in August at Gamescon. The game is in it's final stages, where optimization is taking the team the most time to get right. It is still scheduled for a Q2 2025 release date.
The reason why any of this is possible is because Pearl Abyss created their own engine for Black Desert which is an MMO. So for it to be a single player, than can put so much more in the game than with multiplayer. The current Black Desert or BDO looks EXACTLY like what's being showed, if not better with Remastered Graphics on.
As one of the Players of Black Desert Online back in Steam and on PS4, this game is absolutely action-packed and massive. Tons of questlines and jobs to choose from. Black Desert online has 26 Main classes to choose from and each classes have either Awakening sub classes or successions. Its massive and very very grindy but its fun if you wanna spend hours and hours of gameplay.
However, Pearl Abyss originally created Crimson Desert as a sequel to Black Desert Online but during its development, They’ve decided and saw a potential for the Crimson Desert to have a stand-alone IP so they changed it as a stand-alone Open world single player RPG.
You’ll be playing the role of Macduff, Son of Martinus. The leader of the ragtag band of mercenaries in the war-torn continent of Pywell.
It is currently planned to be released sometime in 2024 and this game has been in development since 2019.
From playing Black Desert an online RPG where the graphics and scale of the world are just amazing for its time, i can see pearl abyss make a single-player game with a ton of new features being real. I can't wait to play this it looks like Ghost Of Tsushima meets The Witcher.

Its a singleplayer open world rpg game for next gen consoles and pc , the devs worked extreamley hard to make this game a reality , a lot of love and attention to detail was put into this game .

Gta is in a league of its own . There is no other game till date that feels like real life with everyone with their own interaction like gta close is red dead obviously the same company but Gta takes it to another level.

It looks A LOT like Black Desert, from the graphics to the movement, choice of colors, city style, textures are practically the same but much improved, the collection system and even the fruits are the same as those that are part of Black Desert, the game It seems very believable because of these reasons, they've done it before, but now because it's Single Player they've been able to improve everything!

Some of this looks like reskins of games we have all seen before. Deception could be the right word.
i still don't believe in this game either. No way it hits the public playing/looking like that trailer. What does Final Fantasy even exist for if some rando studio has this in their pocket the whole time. Somebody gotta go live w/ a real copy before I believe this, so many systems built in the game, can't be.

You can see a lot of the mechanics in BDO already, also you can see the older crimston desert trailer and it was super laggy and horribly polished compared to this... they've been working on this shit for a while now bro, and PA is gonna celebrate 10 years of BDO really soon so not really a new company either
