I've never heard or known anyone who has ever been so hyped on the Bomberman franchise as Ryu and it's pretty awesome haha
i honestly believe the bomberman franchise could be insanely popular if they could just execute on a game correctly - but they keep screwing up.
You didn't see me as a kid, then. I literally have Bomberman depicted on my Catholic confirmation mini-tapestry, and I made SO MANY Bomberman OC laminated cut-outs…

The "Im a penis!" completely overshadowed all the "Im the white boy" but I aint forget that LMAO
I can't believe I laughed so hard every time Ryu said "I'm a penis", it was like back in middle school and I loved it.
This game is sheer chaos and I love it.
As someone who got Grandmaster rank in Bomberman 64 on Stadia - R2 is basically the same in that half the lobbies are bots with fake names. Eventually the names repeat enough that you can recognize them. There are some cool discord communities that try to queue together, but I'd estimate the Bomberman competitive scene has less than 1000 people after the first week.
Bomberman 64 would need to be Free to Play and actually be advertised in a Nintendo Direct to get enough people to fill the lobbies. Unfortunate.
I mainly noticed that because I've played Battle 64 and noticed a surprising amount of people flashing red didn't immediately gun straight for the health powerups when they saw them, that's unfortunate

... Don't get too excited. Imo Super Bomberman R had a better story and more compelling characters, but check it out for yourself.

This game looks fun! I'm all about classic Bomberman and that Battle Royale mode looks amazing! It is a shame you can't choose what game mode you can online, though! That is also a crazy amount of unlockable stuff! Well, if Konami brought back Bomberman, is there a chance other Konami franchises will follow? 🤔

This situation happened because of Golem Bomber's special ability, which lets him place bombs so heavy they can only be moved by other Golem Bombers, and as a result are heavy enough to kill you instead.

Estoy jugando a bomberman R2, y no puedo creer aún que los bots no tengan niveles de dificultad, esta en modo fácil siempre, ni que se puedan elegir bomberman con habilidades para los bots, cosa que los juegos de super nintendo y ps1 tenian! Jugar en solitario se vuelve aburrido por lo fácil que resulta. Además, hay muy pocos niveles en el modo batalla, y son super básicos, y poca variedad de conejos (solo 1). No entiendo porque lo limitan tanto al juego, y no implementan más variedad y dificultad!
