Sealed Air and DuPont™ Cyrel® FAST Contribute to the Sales Success of Ceratti's Sliced Line

    The company specializing in charcuterie increased sales of the sliced ​​line by 44% after reformulating the packaging with a focus on reducing plastic and more sustainable printing.
    The sales figures of the traditional Ceratti specialty cold cuts industry prove the success of a project developed by many hands. The innovation and expertise of Sealed Air, industry leader in the manufacture of packaging and protection solutions, and of one of the world's leading manufacturers of flexographic plates, DuPont ™ Cyrel® Solutions, were essential for Ceratti to consolidate, through its packaging, the new brand positioning for the sliced ​​product line.
    The search for differentiation at the point of sale and the communication of a premium positioning, allied to the artisanal tradition, made it possible for branding to go beyond the visual identity: the packaging also needed to be reformulated. The CP+B agency was responsible for creating the new identity, which included the appearance of kraft paper with an illustration that translated the attributes of an authentic brand, handcrafted and full of history.
    The Cryovac packages were produced by Sealed Air with the mission of ensuring a package that brought the appearance of a kraft paper box, reinforcing the attributes of the Ceratti brand. At the same time, there was the challenge of reducing the thickness of the protective film, without compromising the product's protective barrier that guarantees its integrity.
    Through the company's technology, Ceratti's new sliced ​​packaging uses 30% less plastic in its composition compared to product structures in the same category. In one year, it was possible to reduce the consumption of plastic used in this line by 8.8 tons.
    To achieve success in packaging composition, Sealed Air relied on DuPont™Cyrel® FAST flexographic plate engraving technology. The solution consists of plates and engraving equipment that eliminate the use of solvents in the plate development process, delivering quality, productivity and sustainability. DuPont's solution ensures 38% lower GWP (Global Warming Potential) impact and 56% lower NRE (Non-Renewable Energy) consumption compared to digital solvent processing. “DuPont prides itself on more than 20 years of technological expertise in thermal recording and seeing that the Cyrel® FAST system, with more than 1,500 equipment installed worldwide, delivers impactful results for its customers.
