    Thank you for your question. Yes, you could make the sauce using a blender - be sure not to fill it all the way with hot vegetables because they tend to expand. Enjoy!

    Hi, thanks for your question! You can make your own Italian seasoning by combining equal parts of: basil, marjoram, oregano and thyme. This recipe is not vegetarian because it uses chicken broth, however, you can substitute vegetable broth! :)

    Took me like an hour and a half to cook so its not that quick but the result was good, pretty tasty, although when I blended it, I did it for too long.
    Tip: after blending for 10 seconds, check, dont leave it too long like I did for like 20 seconds. It will over blend and be too smooth. You want it to be a bit chunky.

    My mom is actually allergic to both olives and onions (as well as mushrooms), so we usually buy the pre-made sauce. I would suggest Grape-seed oil. We found out it is healthier than olive or vegetable, and if and when I do use this, I'll leave out the onions, and try a substitute.

    Sounds delicious. Not exactly what I was expecting with the word "quick" in the title. It sounds as if it would take an hour, including all the chopping. (Okay, I'm a slow chopper!) But obviously much faster than a "cook all day" sauce. When I saw "quick," I was curious about whether someone had come up with a five-minute spaghetti sauce, other than "open a can of premade sauce and heat to a simmer." Too much to ask, perhaps, but hope springs eternal!

    Add
    1 chopped onion,
    2-3 garlic,
    2-3 chopped fresh tomatoes,
    1 Chopped bell pepper,
    Some chilly if desired,
    Water.
    To to blender
    Add the mixture to a pot and put some oil and season with something sweet like salt and seasoning cubes if you got any.
    Let it cook for 40 minutes.
    Serve with rice, pasta.

      Do you mean can you first prep the vegetables in a food processor and then cook everything, yassir cadersaib? You should be able to do this. The only difference is that the veggies won't be a soft as when they are cooked first, and might make a chunkier mixture. It depends how smooth you want the sauce to be.

      You know nothing lmao
      Ketchup on pasta should be considered a crime against humanity and good taste.
      An abomination for everyone Who likes good food.

      You're just being ridiculous... It's much healthier than a lot of junk food out there and I think it's good. And yes, I visited Rome a few months ago. Italians are way too proud of their food because it's nothing special.

      patchreefs that's pretty quick. Now if you make the traditional bolognese it takes a little longer to cook.

    Lol !
    Before the 1980's everything was either spaghetti or macaroni . Pasta is a yuppie term .
    And in most places in NJ and NY it's gravy , not sauce unless you're cooking marinara .

    Can i make a fresh paste out of tomatoes pepper salat and meat

    • @allrecipes
      @allrecipes  Před 9 lety

      Do you mean to use these ingredients as a substitute for the "tomato paste" in the recipe, Mohamound Ismail? If you don't have tomato paste, better to skip it. The sauce will be a little thinner than if you had stirred in the paste, but it will still have lots of flavor.

    what can I replace with the chicken broth?

    • @allrecipes
      @allrecipes  Před 10 lety +3

      Hi, christina lopez - If you don't have chicken broth you may substitute 1 cup vegetable broth or even regular water. Taste for flavor and dissolve a bouillon cub into the vegetable mixture if you want more flavor--but we bet you won't need it.

    Original recipe
    It does not include the ingredient we all put in, and here's what's a special secret
    However, if you ask the inhabitants of Naples, where this dish, at least as hard as it is, the recipe is somewhat different. According to the original recipe (or the common denominator of all the original recipes ), sugar are not put in, and neither the onion , oregano nor parsley, which many are happy to add to the flavor. All you need are soft sauces, some garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper and basil.

    how about putting chopped onion, garlic and tomatoes and all the seasoning into the blender all at once and then cook it up for a while so it heats up and dries a little?

      But if you have time to cook I can give you a recipe from my Grandfather . He was from Abruzzi . It's the most delicious sauce ( gravy ) you will ever eat . I promise you ! Takes time though to cook it . A lot of prep , then slow simmer . Worth it though !

    can I use selary in the sos?

    • @allrecipes
      @allrecipes  Před 9 lety

      You could, Tanjia Tamanna. However, it's not an ingredient in the original recipe, and it won't cook down to be soft like the other ingredients. You can certainly invent your own sauce if you like. Here's a link to the original recipe so you can review the ingredients: allrecipes.com/Recipe/Quick-Spaghetti-Sauce/detail.aspx
