Just to let you know those alcohol based markers are supposed to be stored horizontally not upright to prevent drying out.
yeah i was just looking up about pen storage...two sided should be stored horizontally...one sided can be stored point side down....

I was the same, lol, except it was Laurentian pencil crayons when I was a kid. I always wanted the 48 pack, but with three kids in school at the same time, my parents just didn’t have the money. I also used to get the smallest pack they had, so I bought the big set when I grew up!

Oh. My. Good. Gravy! That opening shot is sheer HEAVEN!! I love the Posca paint pens, but I’m on the fence about purchasing the Archer & Olive paint pens...have you tried them?

So, I haven't tried them personally (but I want to because they look SO pretty!)... however, a lettering friend who has them all told me that they're probably not necessary since I have a lot of poscas so that's why I haven't tried them. I hope you had this set up just for the video. Please know that if you keep your markers stored vertically, they will quickly dry out. I had an entire set of new markers that I have in a cup bc I can’t bring myself to throwing them away. #IJS

For some reason i have been feeling more down lately and i used to be an organization freak but now im slowly starting to slip and my place is becoming more messy. I totally understand this! And I’m no pro, but to be honest, minimizing the things you don’t absolutely love is something that has made it easier for me to keep things organized! The minimal mom has great videos on this on CZcams!

I want to learn handlettering so damn bad but its hard to know where to even start. I printed out a bunch of worksheet with beginner strokes but I suck 🤣 its confusing on whats the best beginner marker and paper. if anyone has suggestions pls let me know and pls share your lettering journey. how you started, what helped etc I would be eternally grateful! im 33 and have wanted to learn and be good at lettering since I was 3 haha
I would search beginner videos on her channel! I’m sure she has videos, as would ensign insights. I personally recommend (and I’m guessing they do too) the smaller, stiffer brush pens for beginners. Like the Pentel sign pens or Tombow fudenosuke brush pens. Other brands have the same fudenosuke type pens. They are much easier control for upstrokes. The tombow duel brush pens and similar ones are fun in terms of colors and what you can do with them, but are harder for beginners. Keep doing the basic strokes and you’ll get there! It’s that muscle memory that’s the toughest to get. Focus on the basics and then once you have that down, you’ll start to develop your own style. She also mentions the Faber castell pen and zig as “medium” pens. I agree and they are some of my favs. I’d get one of those after you start with the smaller one. There’s lots and lots of tips, but I’ll stop blabbing. Let me know if you have more questions!! Obviously Suzy is the expert but I can give you my IG to dm with questions!! 😊
