I have a paper cutter and let me tell you it is not excessive!! I make my own greeting cards for family and friends and it comes in handy SO often!! Mine has a sliding knife and the trick is to press down hard with the knife when you're making the cut. If the pressure is too weak, the cut won't be straight.

Honestly, when Amanda opens and shows us her new stationery it feels like I'm getting all the stationery I could never afford. She makes everything seem so amazing!
Smile at the paper cutter segment. Yes the sound of the blade cutting the paper is so satisfying. We have one of the heavy duty ones at my college. I always found an excuse to cut paper there instead of using my lightweight one at home. 🙂🙂
I thought I was the only one who enjoyed the sound of a guillotine style paper cutter! I love that we share that!
Love Kuretake. The clean color brush pens are my favorite I own; super versatile. They are watercolor brush pens and you can actually watercolor with them! Just dab some ink in a well, and then use a generic water brush to paint. No cleanup needed. For those who are light on their hands like me and have had trouble with hard-nibbled brush pens, I found these to be just right for thin and thick lines for small lettering as well. There are also a few other tricks you can do with them, such as applying a darker color to a lighter brush and creating an ombre as you write. Highly recommend.

I have the new Micron set as well! I decided to start using them right away cause I wanted to enjoy them during their release, and I was worried if I didn't open them soon I won't ever use them. I also plan to keep the barrels to eventually put on a board to hang in my room when they are empty.
I also can't wait till it's safe to go from city to city so I can check out Hanji Gifts in person! What a lovely find!

the first of the fancy paper is so stunning
as soon as you showed the sakura pigma microns 100th anniversary set, i immediately bought them. i've been using those for art since i was a child, and something about the 100th anniversary set made me feel so nostalgic & delighted for them. they will never, ever, leave me, even once they're dried out i will not part with them.
Using a sharp guillotine honestly makes me so happy. And as a card maker they are essential.

A paper cutter is absolutely necessary, especially if you scrapbook, but honestly for so many things. The slide-y paper cutters do not work nearly as well. My favorite use of my paper cutter is cutting up large water color sheets so I can make smaller paintings.

I think that milky white one is similar to the Faber Castell White Pitt Pen, which I love, so I might try this one to compare. Thx for all the info, they do have so much markers it can be hard to know what to get. I love several of their products like the Art & Graphic Twin and the Kurecolor Fine and Brush.

Amanda do NOT feel bad ab buyi a bigger paper cutter! I have both a small and bigger one and I find myself using the bigger one because while its big, its so much easier to cut wider, bigger pieces than a smaller one! It's such a lifesaver ✨🥺

Hanji is Korean traditional paper. The paper and envelopes with "pressed leaves" are the most common ones here (in Korea). They're beautiful to use.
