Literally just was looking at these kits today for purchasing in the future ,it's great because they do add on toms of all sizes !! Really can't wait to get them
Beautiful kit, and I’m proud to say I own a SCB HipGig which is one of Yamaha’s most unique and classiest innovations. It’s currently in “practice” mode with mesh heads and holed cymbals. Still sounds awesome. Enjoy, good sir!
How exciting! I was smiling just as big at home watching you unbox the "add-on". So happy you shared this! Blue Yamaha looks and sounds so crispy! Such a great find. 🥁🎉 -Caleb
It’s like my Drum teacher always said Yamaha could come out with tampons and they’d be the best!!! 😂 motors, lawn mowers, piano, bass, drums, etc. My Yamaha 234 Broad bass blows away the Squire bass guitars. Squire was phenomenal for years but are hit or miss now but every time I pick up a YAMAHA BB at a music store they feel amazing, just a string change and not even a set up.
I went to a GC to check out a synth & bass guitar and almost walked out with this same blue kit. (Not that I need another Drum set) This blue kit is pure eye candy. Yummy !
@@DaryianKeltonI wanted to keep my comment simple, but truth be known Daryian, I suffer from G.A.S. Which is why I take my wife with me, "We're not buying another drumset !" (2 Tama's, 2 Mapex's, 1 DW, I see her point🙄). PS: She did like the color of your kit . Oh 2 days later I got the Yamaha Hip Gig (We "Need it" for the Yamaha EAD10 😁)
Yamaha drums rule! They were the last brand that really checked out and now they are all I want. I have a hybrid maple kit and it’s easily the best drumset I’ve ever owned. I just built a giant stage custom kit in white with all the sizes I could ever need. 22” 20” kicks, 10,12,13,14,16,18 Tom’s. I’m so excited to get it and put it together
After playing so many different brands of drums I can't believe I didn't check out Yamaha earlier cause after some research they sound phenomenal. I'm actually gonna purchase a Stage Custom in this same beautiful finish in the nearby future.
Yeah, that has to be a new finish because they didn’t have any Sunburst faded finishes, but the stage customs came out at the end of 95 going into 96 and changed everything! They were already sharing the factory with Premier in England and the Premier Cabria kits that came out in the mid 90’s were amazing (I own one) as well. Every Stage custom generation has been amazing and the whole game changed with Stage Customs. Now there are a lot of amazing 7 to 900.00 kits like the Mapex Armory suite and the PDP kits and Tama super star classics. The Stage Customs have ruled the sub $1000 game for almost 30 years though.
This is my kit! Was my first brand new kit as well. The finish is amazing, and they sound pretty great as well. I put Evans EC2s on the toms and an EMAD on the bass. Paiste cymbals all around.
Love the drums dude and the video content. I've owned a Yamaha Oak Custom 4-pc drum set for around 10 years and I still love them. It's been my primary gigging set so they've seen a lot of action over the years, but I've treated them with loving care and they still look and sound new. After using Remo for many years in the past, like you, I prefer Evans heads. I use the two-ply, coated for most applications, though I will switch to the two-ply clears for certain situations occasionally. Yamaha produces high quality drums and hardware, as well as other musical instruments and audio gear. You can't go wrong choosing Yamaha. Just my two cents. Keep rockin'!
I don’t really intend to gig on these drums because I have my other Stage Customs that has a 20” kick. However, if I did gig these blue drums it would be for the bigger stages because of the 22”.
I can’t believe they are stage customers! I thought it was a new line or like a maple custom absolute. I guess they needed to step there paint and finish game up since Mapex has been been killing everybody with the armory suite kits. Yamaha RULE!!! Btw, I love 20” BD and the Pin stripes also tune up easy but it seems everybody loves G2 and if I remember correctly Dennis has been playing them for years and his Tom sound amazing.
I normally go to the HD Dry but, ironically, it’s not dry enough for me for live situations but it’s one of my faves! I have it on several other snares

Oh wait they do? I would go for this for sure if I can add an 8

This kit looks beautiful I wish they would do this color way on the tour customs
It's a beautiful finish 😍
It's amazing how the more economical drum kits (under $1000) are sounding more professional. Great video. Love that blue finish.

Yamaha Crosstown hardware is one of the best drum purchases I have made. It is ridiculously lighter to lug about compared to my sonor hardware.
They look similar to my PDP Regal Royal fade, but that series is discontinued so I am thinking of getting the Yamaha’s to get some additional sizes.

Yamaha stagies..great value for money..birch always sounds good..22" kick is a bit big for gigs..get the 20" kick and maybe 18" floor.

How did you mount that 8” tom?
I had to make a stand out of other hardware I have laying around lol
