Yamaha drums rule! I have a giant stage custom kit too. You gotta check out the absolute hybrid maples tho, they are by far the best feeling and sounding drums I’ve ever owned
I just received my first NEW kit 2 weeks ago - the very same Yamaha kit in DBS! Ironically, I chose them to motivate myself to play more and to learn to play better. What are the chances? Yes I have a custom birch 5pc. Black Raven color. They do sound great. I’m still experimenting With different drum heads. I have Remo coated emperor. I’m going to try the clear emperor should sound a bit more open and warm. Coated sound nice and warm sounding . Thanks for your suggestion very helpful. I’ll be seeing more videos of yours.
