I didn't take offense to "spergy" when you said it, even though I too have Asperger's. But are you aware that Asperger's is basically just high-functioning autism? So "sperg" is most probably just Asmongold getting around the potential backlash that could come from saying "autistic". Given that, it's also not unfair for someone with Asperger's to not appreciate "spergy" as an insult.
I suppose Demonic Loaf was assuming the connection, but again, it's not a difficult connection to make. It would be like if you said "tistic" as an insult, someone with autism assuming you meant "autistic", them saying that they don't appreciate it, and then you coming back by saying they're being too sensitive and should get off their high horse.
I get it if the extent of your knowledge about the term "sperg" was just that it's something a twitch streamer says sometimes. But if you did realize the connection, and how it could be offensive, then you're just being an asshole.
