I remember doing a school project on leaders in middle school and I picked Gabe and did a whole presentation on him and how he earned millions and everybody laughed at me and made fun of me for picking him over all the other historical figures everyone else picked well. I still stand and say gabe Newell is a historical figure in history to bring video games to even the poor like me that grew up with nothing and still had a plat Form to play something at least without a monthly bill . I'm glad to have been with steam over 15 years and god bless Gabe Newell
Thanks for sharing your experience. I do not miss class presentations, especially the science fair presentations(each year had one in middle school, back in 2001 to 2004). One time I had to do a class presentation with a classmate in high school, who was giving me problems. It was a nightmare. Back in school, for some reason I always got paired with the trouble makers.
you chose the right person. I'd have loved to hear your presentation about him. What others think of you and your interests have no value unless you really like them/want them to like you. But if you dont, then they are just hot air and insecure.

@@Rafelandroid2 Here is my steam password. Good luck. f2g72Db&U\{F . User name is same as my youtube. I have pretty good faith in steam guard, 2FA etc. Plus I use a password manager for a long time. I don't even know any of my passwords my self (and every one of them is a unique string of completely random characters). I just know my "master password". I like the way MS dose it best though. My Microsoft account doesn't even have a password. I use their excellent authenticator app. Their system def works because you can login to your MS account and see any attempted logins. There is literally one attempted login at least once per min on my MS account going back months. Very rarely I'll get the pop up from the authenticator asking me to select the number on screen from a choice of three, meaning someone is attempting to login, and of course I just hit "cancel" or "not me" or whatever the button is. But like I said I get one of those once every few months so they do a good job of knowing which ones are obviously not me.

Not a lot of people are talking about this but, they have massive cinema cameras to record the video, and recorded on what appears to be a flat color profile but never color graded it. (At least it looks like a flat color profile). I can imagine somewhere in the valve headquarters they color graded and organized the clips into a small movie before scrapping it and just putting a bunch of random log footage into the video.
The only CEO in the world that would be okay with a video being publicly shared that included awkward moments with him in them. Kudos to him for not taking himself too seriously. I don't think he's BS-ing when he says that he manages to keep himself grounded through reading e-mails and listening to what people want.

man watching this a year later after the steam deck released and delivered... i'm so happy i was able to order a OLED Steam Deck bc he's awesome and the company itself is great. they actually deliver on their products. they could've charged an extra $100 on top of the current $550.00 USD listing price for the OLED 512gb model but they didn't. and they are always improving their software and hardware like this ... i'm happy to give them my money. great people at Valve!

Personal touch is always fundamental and I am glad to see that Gabe/Valve keep up with it.
Not a lot of people are talking about this but, they have massive cinema cameras to record the video, and recorded on what appears to be a flat color profile but never color graded it. (At least it looks like a flat color profile). I can imagine somewhere in the valve headquarters they color graded and organized the clips into a small movie before scrapping it and just putting a bunch of random log footage into the video.
The only CEO in the world that would be okay with a video being publicly shared that included awkward moments with him in them. Kudos to him for not taking himself too seriously. I don't think he's BS-ing when he says that he manages to keep himself grounded through reading e-mails and listening to what people want.

man watching this a year later after the steam deck released and delivered... i'm so happy i was able to order a OLED Steam Deck bc he's awesome and the company itself is great. they actually deliver on their products. they could've charged an extra $100 on top of the current $550.00 USD listing price for the OLED 512gb model but they didn't. and they are always improving their software and hardware like this ... i'm happy to give them my money. great people at Valve!

Gabe literally took all of our feedbacks, actually listened to it and created the Steam Deck Oled! Love you Gabe and I love Valve, it’s been playing a huge part of my childhood.
I just love the fact that he goes "here's my email, tell me what you think", and judging from what I'm hearing about Steam Deck, they're listening to customers. I'm excited to get my Steam Deck finally and be included in this great milestone for Valve.
This makes me feel like Valve is slowly returning to their former glory, actually communicating with their community again to some extent.
