    🍔HUNGRY JACKS🍔 Explanation:
When Jack Cowin, an Australian businessman, went to open the chain's first franchise Down Under in 1971, there was already a local restaurant called Burger King that had the name trademarked.
To avoid any confusion, he went with the name Hungry Jack's, most likely inspired by his own namesake.
The first Australian franchise of Burger King Corporation was established in Innaloo, Perth, on 18 April 1971, under the auspices of Cowin's new company Hungry Jack's Pty Ltd.

Just a tip, you can get off the train at museum station (or central). Would've been much closer. I assimed you were staying around the harbour when you got off at circular quay!
Enjoy tour stay in Sydney. Be sure to take a day trip to visit the Blue Mountains too.
And please try some of the many Asians cuisines, Indian and Middle Eastern. Vietnamese Banh Mi is very popular in Sydney. (Pork roll is the classic). Spice Alley near Central station has quite a few good options and lovely outdoor setting.
Another suggestion is a HSP, which you can get from any kebab shop. It's basically chips with cheese on top, then shaved kebab meat on top lf thay and the trio of sauces (garlic , bbq, and chilli).
Charcoal chicken is popular too. Portuguese places. Actually a Lebanese place does great stuff -El Jannah. They have a few places around sydney suburbs.
If you do end up hoing to Clovelly beach, "Out of the blue " does really good fish and chips. I haven't been in a few years but it was really good last i was there. Might have even been where the JOLLY guys went.
Theres lots of seafood options , Sydney is surrounded by water. Just depends where you end up. I always say, ask the locals.

When at the Opera House, go around the front (waterside) of it and check out the steps that go down into the water. There is a seal (Benny) who lives there and often sunbakes on the steps, you can get a pic of him framed with the Bridge in the background for an interesting thumbnail!

Same thing happened when I was trying to go from Perth to Singapore in Feb ‘23. The baggage carousels wouldn’t work and what should have been a 5 minute exercise took 2 hours. Just use real people not machines
In Sydney do the Bondi- Coogee walk and also go to Doyle’s on the beach for fish and chips at Watson Bay. Absolutely beautiful. You can catch a ferry there from Circular Quay.
Finally Manly beach is very good. Enjoy Sydney, it’s a great great city.

A very enjoyable video. You can certainly see the change in scenery from the plane of Perth being more dry and it getting green and lush as you get to the east. Then, as you say, the change in vibe from laid back to chaotic. I think I'd like Sydney to visit but Perth to live, and as the receptonist said, Perth maybe ok if you're older. Ha! I'm glad though, that my travelling days are over because I really couldn't be arsed with the swiping, tapping and scanning of everything nowadays, it's very offputting, bring back the people service. I'd have had a right meltdown over the suitcase check-in you had, Grrrrr!

Got to go to Darling Harbour, also Chinatown. Try the Emperor Puffs out the Chinese bakery. It’s a thing, Look up John Torode for tip) try Chinese food courts in Chinatown. Laksa is a fav.
    George Street for a wander.
    Barangaroo for wander.
Oh def go to the Rocks! See also oldest pub near the rocks.
    Blue Mountains
Hunters valley if you can go up the coast, if not the swan River wine cruise when back in Perth.
Sooo much and I love it.
Dont forget the tower and Star Casino area (Billy Connolly)

Still a few pubs but becoming gentrified and Sydney's nightlife now a lot more spread out.
You might remember the Bourbon and Beefsteak near the fountain, currently a construction site for apartments and a hotel, though a pub will remain on the ground floor.

Touristy stuff like Circular Quay, Opera House, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo etc all good fun but so many other places to go and trains dead cheap compared to UK so head out to Blue Mountains if you get a chance. so beautiful. Closer to city you have Watsons Bay, Paddo (Paddington), Surry Hills, Redfern for breweries, the list goes on.

Perth is in a flatter area surrounded by large hill range (Darling range), which Kalamunda resides on. Basically Perth area stretches north (almost Yanchep) and south (Mandurah)and doesn't go over the range so once you go past Kalamunda you are moving into almost unchartered territory most of the population in WA is in the Perth basin region. Was told once apparently its bit precarious for flying into Perth airport as the winds affected by the it's closeness to the range make it bit difficult to land and take off though probably modern planes have less of an issue with this. Yanchep in my days was considered far away and something one would do on a weekend for something different. Bunbury/Busselton were other popular holiday locations - good for surfing too. Mandurah used to be so far away now is a suburb of Perth.

I am so jealous, I wish i was there with you. Now make a note Lee, you must take the ferry to Manly and do the walk, you must visit the Chinese Garden, I think you are probably too late to book the Bridge climb but try anyway. The Blue Mountain are a must see as well. I don't know how much time you have in Australia but Cairns is well worth a visit, you need to snorkel the Barrier Reef and visit Kuranda it is really well good. Don't forget to buy a boomerang and an Akubra hat, would suit you well.

I lived in Sydney 30 years ago when it was much less hectic than it is today. Everything there is now very expensive. I like to visit but would never live there nowadays. Kings X is extremely quiet nowadays compared to the 80s and early 90s which is a bit disappointing. The Rocks used to be a great night out however I don't know what it is like nowadays. Definitely do a beach walk, ride a ferry, visit the Blue Mountains (check the forecast before as it can get unexpectedly foggy) and check out the south coast via train if you can spare a day (Kiama is nice).

Those arial shots of Sydney as you flew in.. *chefs kiss* I forget how green Sydney and it's surrounds is although given the amount of rain and bad weather we've been having lately I'm not surprised! Looks like you're staying in a great location - you're only a short walk from Surry Hills with its amazing restaurants and cafe culture. Oxford St is nearby and with the upcoming Mardi Gras the vibe will certainly be entertaining. You're a short stroll for shopping along Pitt St Mall or nearby Queen Victoria Building. You're spoilt for choice when it comes to food - I do recommend checking out Spice Alley (opposite UTS on Broadway) or the Chinatown district just north of the Paddy's Markets tram stop and south of Darling Harbour if you like asian food. Good fish and chips are in abundance around any of the beach areas and the Sydney Fish Markets of course. The long coastal walk between Bondi and Coogee beach is a must do on a nice day with amazing coastline. On a sunny day the walk along Darling Harbour, through Barangaroo reserve, under the bridge, through the Rocks district, Circular Quay and botanical gardens lets you take in the city and harbour. A ferry accross to Manly is a definite must-do. A two hour train ride west of Sydney puts you in Katoomba and the Blue Mountains - highly recommended for a day trip. Hope you enjoy your stay mate - there's a lot you can do for free in Sydney when it comes to museums and galleries and just taking in the atmosphere outdoors but do avoid eating out near any of the main tourist areas, you'll pay a fortune. Welcome to Sydney.

All great recommendations. Never done Spice Alley - next time we're in the City. Also add a look over Warragamba Dam (near spilling) and areas South of Sydney like the Royal National Park, Kiama, that blo**y bridge that appears in EVERY car advert etc.
Must admit in 20 years here it's never been so green over summer. Our dog can't handle it, it's like is this wet green grass thing, my precious paws might get wet? Give me dirt every time would be hr view and a bedroom with A/C to sleep in - Staffy/Terrier mix, lovely but thinks she's a super model. Miss my Scottish Deerhound!

Done the Manly Ferry, made me smile when the first shop you see is Aldi. I called the Mrs back in the UK to see if she needed any shopping done.

Great vlog lee, noticed claisebrook cove where you had your coffee, you will need to revisit on your return and go to the stadium for the tour. Don't forget to mention that when you fly domestically you can take all your fluids with you no 100ml limit. So looking forward to sydney its my favourite Australian city but the wife prefers Perth. Get yourself an opal card put 50 asd on it on a monday and once you use 50 asd you then travel rest of the week free on trains buses trams and ferries Go to the war memorial also walk through the park , don't bother getting a cruise on the harbour hop on a ferry. We went to a nice little restaurant on circular Quay cant remember the name but it was near where you were standing , nice food at a reasonable price and open 24 hrs. We were in sydney in November and it was the only place we visited on our big down under trip where it rained😅. We stayed in kings cross not to bad but we weren't wondering the streets late at night lol

The window height on the plane Lee, is Boeing design.
It's the same height on every Boeing 737, no matter what series, or airline, or whether you sit in sardine class down the back, or in toff class up the front.😊

Loving EVery moment of your filming EVery night struggling with a damp amd miserable day to get through with the rest of us stuck in England. Last Tuesday was good and we got to play with our Outdoor Toys. Loved the car to the Airport and the stops by the bridges. At least the Toilet was free... One airline tried this and it failed miserably. I am still trying to sort out the recycling of paper cups and of course STRAWS. Or did I just grasp the short one?

Great video, think I’ve got some competition! They look like a pretty standard airline, nothing to shout about. Although the free tea and coffee reminds me of SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) as they also do free tea and coffee on all flights. Beautiful approach into Sydney. Seems quite expensive for what you get. However this is coming from someone who frequently flies to North America/East Asia etc for £150-£300 return. £300 is my limit for any flight booking, although I would pay extra to visit Australia. I’ve got several trips to Johannesburg coming up which were less than £200 return each. And I’m currently in southeast India which cost around £220 return from London (6 flights each way though!) But I suppose in similar ways to Canada, domestic flights in Australia aren’t cheap, and you booked it just 4 days out. You’re never going to get flights for £10 like you can in Europe with Wizz Air or Ryanair etc. I’m sure the taxes and fees associated with flying in Australia are a lot higher
