Good video. Just a recommendation, don’t use a pliers to loosen zinc housing. The bolt holding the zinc in place is the ticket. Remove bolt from housing put 11mm socket on center bolt, a slight counterclockwise rotation should free the assembly.
Brent Brown Brent you are correct. I will be checking the torque specs and using my torque wrench to verify the proper torque this weekend. Thanks for watching.
@@FishOnForte I had to use a pipe wrench with a pipe for leverage!! Great Video. the one on the side was easy to change . The other were the problem Thanks
@@FishOnForte Thanks, I have a Yamaha 150 and this weekend I did the service for the first time. I don't know where that anode that I'm telling you is, nor the thermostat XD
@@FishOnForte 50 inch pounds on the annode and 150 inch pounds on the covers. How long were those in there, a week? Mine were way harder to get out, and required a lot of cleanup of the covers and the heads before replacing. When that happens, static flush with before putting the annodes back in to flush all the crap out...
Great video thanks i'm doing mine tomorrow like you I believe in preventive maintenance keeping the boat maintained won't leave you stranded.

I’ll try that the next time I do them, thanks.
Nice video. I would recommend that you use a torque wrench and torque the fasteners to the OEM specs.

Can't find the torque specs for my 150 anodes? Do you happen to know?
Great video! How often do you change them?
Robert Cardenas thanks for watching. I change them every 2 years. But I do not get on the water much. Maybe a little over 100 hours a year.
were the two in the rear worse than the one on the side?
Joseph Tripptree The one in the side was the worst.
