    Been wracking my brains looking for the anode torque specs for the crankcase anodes bolt?

  • @CuttingEdge49
    @CuttingEdge49 Před 3 lety +1

    Good video. Just a recommendation, don’t use a pliers to loosen zinc housing. The bolt holding the zinc in place is the ticket. Remove bolt from housing put 11mm socket on center bolt, a slight counterclockwise rotation should free the assembly.

      I’ll try that the next time I do them, thanks.

    Nice video. I would recommend that you use a torque wrench and torque the fasteners to the OEM specs.

    • @FishOnForte
      @FishOnForte  Před 6 lety

      Brent Brown Brent you are correct. I will be checking the torque specs and using my torque wrench to verify the proper torque this weekend. Thanks for watching.

    • @FishOnForte
      @FishOnForte  Před 4 lety

      Robert Cardenas thanks for watching. I change them every 2 years. But I do not get on the water much. Maybe a little over 100 hours a year.

      @@FishOnForte 50 inch pounds on the annode and 150 inch pounds on the covers. How long were those in there, a week? Mine were way harder to get out, and required a lot of cleanup of the covers and the heads before replacing. When that happens, static flush with before putting the annodes back in to flush all the crap out...
