- I was approached by Polyphia to help write & record 6 songs on their upcoming album. These are the original parts I wrote & then recorded. What you hear on the album might have changed due to what Clay Aeschliman felt was right for the song, & he did a great job as always. A massive thank you to Polyphia (Tim, Clay squared & Scott) for having me be a part of this album.
Audio recorded & mixed by Sean Kellett of Perfect Sound Studios. Video shot & edited by Brian Raess.

A huge thank you to Polyphia for having me on their new album, & an absolutely amazing job to all of them on this track. Clay & I essentially collaborated on this track, these are the parts I originally wrote & recorded. Very excited to be a part of this!
Miss you ❤️🇹🇭
Bro, how LIT were you for that intro recording?!? lmfao Keep em coming... :D
It's really awesome seeing you, Jason, and all these other incredibly talented people advance music the way you are. It's frankly inspiring.
Hell yeah! Happy to see you collaborate with them! So much talent from all of you
I was like whaaaat!!? Polyphia just released the new single 6 hours ago, how did you release the video at the same time!???
You guys have been collaborating!!! OMG I'm soo happy. 😍😍
You go on tour with them also Luke?? Please say YES 🙏🙏😁😁
The Luke and Clayton working together like two evil drum geniuses
That double bass at 1:21 is such an amazing touch at finishing the measure
Only few can catch that. That's really catchy
Exactly
Yes. That was hardddddd🔥🔥
The human stack fade at 2:45 haha best drummer out there dude! great work!
a little natural delay! I remember doing that in the studio & Tim loved it so we kept it
That's when I hit the subscribe button
Luke is a guy who really understands the importance of dynamics.
Just noticed that little part in the full polyphia band playthrough video they just posted. Totally stuck out to me and didn't realize the origin. Love it 🤘
Exquisite
something that i find fun about polyphia is that even though their sound is built around compression they have such dynamic control and it shows here. theres a part in playing God that i haven't heard right yet because i hear just a mono-dynamic approach to playing. that decrescendo at the end is simple, but refreshing with how compressed metal, and metalcore has been over the last few years.
The hi-hat bell at 1:07 is something else though😳
Loving all the musician/ youtubet collabs that have been going on this year. Brought alot of happiness to my summer :)
So epic you added another monster of a collab to your list!!! Proud of you G!!!
Holy shit the collabs between Luke, Jason Richardson, and polyphia keep coming… please don’t stop y’all ;) This is the forefront of future classics.
Wooooow no way !!! We are all waiting for their album for sure but you actually helped to create 6 tracks on it that's amazing can't wait to listen to it ! And we are waiting for your upcoming playthroughs !!!
Man, this was *TIGHT* !✌️😎🤘 Sick playing as always, dude!😃
I still remember the Instagram posts from you and Tim in the studio! Insane how much work went into this
love the use of splashes in polyphias music, with how tight it is its the perfect cymbal to get quick shots in to create unique voicing. Genius.
Yooo this is huge! Your playing is more creative than ever here
The new video style is really cool! Perfect balance between cinematography and showing your drumming
love the energy that comes out when you’re playing! it always feels like you’re being so meticulous while also having fun!! 🥁 so seamless
Hell yeah man! I was just listening to the new Jason Richardson album and it made me think of his features on Polyphia records and how I’d love to hear you on their new album. Dreams do come true lol
Loving every second of this ! Mad skills and great musicality overall ! Very exciting stuff !
Beautiful work man! I love the album! I love hearing what you came up with and what you and Clay A. came up with.
Luke's fills are just unreal. To me that is what makes the difference between a good and a great drummer. Knowing what and when to place those fills is an art and Luke is a master at this.
I knew it was you on that track before I saw this. Easy and distinct, seeing as I've listened to you for over 10+ years, around the TIJ cover (17yr) days. Much love, long-timer!!
Those are the crispiest cymbals. I fool around with random stuff to find some of those crisp attacks and sounds. I'm glad to see drummers on the forefront of music like Luke. Well done brother
This is literally a dream collab. Can't wait to hear the whole thing!
The cymbal roll at around 50 seconds is amazing. Polyphia and Luke Holland, what an amazing collab
i wish i could have you as a mentor or teacher or something, you’re incredibly talented
Bro iv watched you and clays play through and I can’t get enough bro
Clay really must be a super humble dude to let you collab like this!
He is very chill ...my favourite member of the bend..is always childlike and smiling during thier recordings and tours but is a complete beast while playing
clay appears to be incredibly humble check out the video with polyphia whats in the bag where there at the record store, i liked the section were clay talks about how much he loved coheed and cambria and how he cried because he was so honored when they got to play with them, as one of the best drummers out there right now i would think coheed would be crying getting to play with him ya know, they all seem like incredibly awesome people
So amazing!
@2.46 nice use of dynamics amazing composition all around just that part really got me
Love this! Keep on inspiring man!
2:45 is gonna be underrated
these are the drum feels that I love a bunch
So Amazing😮❤
Amazing, Polyphia suits your style very well bro.
The pivot at 2:24 is absolute magic.
Yeahh! Amazing performance and nice vibes
This is beyond amazing. Please make drum cover videos for the other songs you worked on. So many people would love to see. The tightness in this is incredible.
truly amazing, I had no idea you worked on so many of the tracks!
This is amazing 🔥🔥
It was a cool EP. I'm looking forward to finished album.
Man... just whoa, what a great beat and some killer fills
This is amazing
awesome as always!
They say of you listen closely you can still hear the sad lonely cries of the tomtoms that feel incredibly left out of today's performance
Tomtoms lol
They say if you read the date
It won’t be 1979 anymore
#riptomtoms
Excelente demostración colega!!
Dude it seems like just the other day you were some kid uploading covers on youtube,
then you got a big gig touring with the world alive, then a few years later Jason Richard's and now your working with Polyphia!
I'm so proud to see how much you've done Luke been following you since highschool I feel like a proud papa.. though you're probably older than me
Keep it up!!
You failed to mention his biggest achievement yet, being the current drummer for falling in reverse.
Beautiful Mr. Holland... 👏👏👏👏👏👏🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
really enjoyed this performance. really do like this song but didn't knew you had ur hand in it. Really enjoy ur work overall.
Great as always 🤘
What a detailed drumming dope
Awesome play through! Seems like a lot of drummers these days are doing the whole Travis Orbin drum setup. Replacing Tom's with cymbals. Only Tom's being floor Tom's. Any drummer who doesn't know Who the Orbinator is go check him out. He was the original drummer for Periphery and has played with Darkest Hour, Sky Eats Airplane, Cartoon Theory. Dudes a machine! If you like Hollands work or Chris Turner you'll definitely love Travis!
OMG so amazingggggg
amazing
This song put a big ol' goofy grin on my dumb face when I first heard it. You and the boys killed it as always
Sick! Great job
Awesome!
I think it is awesome that the drummer of P was okay with this. Like, that’s amazing.
that short run at 01:31, O_O
damn good!
This is the best single I've heard from Polyphia in years
Sounds like Old Polyphia.
Sounds boooring
@@SUNBORN you are deaf as hell🤣
@@AbhishekRanaGuitar that's a good thing
@@SlownVibin yes!
So cleeeeeaaaaan dude 🤘🏻😯😁 just makes me happy
This is just too epicccc
Very impressive
Awesome
That tiny snare is beautiful! Also your skills matches perfectly with the new Polyphias stuff. Amazing as always Luke!
There's no moment like 2:26 to about 2:31 in this video, and I'd bet that Luke himself would agree. I've watched this video over 50 times already. You should participate in more of Polyphia's albums. You and Clay are two examples of what the future holds for us in music, because you're crossing a line we thought couldn't be crossed. I'm 43, play guitar like a chimp, but I was a somewhat decent player since I started at 16...but loving music (good music) is what gets me so hooked in this stuff. Luke, you are a freakin' genius on the drums! And you suck less than you think talking to the camera...hahahaha!
Super Cool
the sound of that stack is cool
Ty
You're amazing 👏
Insane
My guyser! Smooth as eggs as always.
Hell yeah good work.
Amazing 😁👍
awesomeee
Soooo gooood
The Best!
Thats so awesome to hear dude, always thought your rap inspired style would fit perfectly with their work!
Sounds so cool 👀
Damn thats tight!
Woahhhh I saw new polyphia song while at work and gave it a listen and was bumpin to the drums more than normal. Makes sense why. Also. I think we’re gonna need a Chris Turner Luke Holland collab soon
That was pretty cool.
So good! Hope we can get drum transcripts for this soon
HUGE!
So crisp like a freshly baked bread!!
Máquina!
Those hi hat flicks are insane 🥵
Very nice dude 🤗💓
Wow dude... wow...
The sickest ghost notes in the ending
So tasty playing
Sounds way better than original great writing mann!
Very tasteful and spicy 🥁
Small snares are 🔥🔥🔥

lots of hip hop/rnb influence I'm hearing in this instrumental
Yaaaay!
🔥🔥🔥
Weldone bro 🥁🔥👍
Beautiful Luke!, Scotty Horey here, profesor of percussion at University of Arts/Sciences in Mexico and festival solo artist. Could we acquire the note for note transcription of this one, as you did in "cinema"? ...
I believe there's a copy of it on Polyphia's tablature site! When you go to purchase these tabs, make sure to switch the version from Guitar to Drums (PDF Only) ;)
