FYI, Acure was revealed to be using child labor. I wish there was more of an emphasis on cruelty through the labor exploitation and slavery of adults and children. We always focus on whether the product is tested on animals that we don't even talk about where these ingredients are sourced from. Please include the exploitation of people in what you look for in cruelty-free, not just animals.

You have to copy the link of the specific ad and then go to ad block and paste the link to block it. It only does it for the one link so if there are multiple ads you want to block, you need to copy/paste each link on ad block.

If a product’s purpose is to be applied to the skin (makeup, skincare, etc.) and is imported into China, by law it has to be animal tested before it is put on shelves. CeraVe is commercially sold in the PRC ( but only some of their products), so those products are not cruelty free. This is likely the case unless CeraVe has expanded production in the PRC, in which case they do not have to be tested due to local monitoring in the production process. This law likely applies to a number of other countries as well.

I detest glitter masks, seems so unnecessary and honestly I doubt their "biodegradable" means what we want it to mean. Would be interesting to test that.

@@mkg2124 I couldn't find exactly how they make their glitter so I'm just questioning if it isn't the same marketing ploy as it is with supposed biodegradable plastic for packaging which is technically made up of corn based resources (aka plants so they technically could say plant based). People tend to put the term "bio-degradable" in the same category as "compostable" and think this is a positive message. However, plastic packaging which claims to be bio-degradable will only break down within industrial composting facilities in controlled conditions, not if you just flush it down the drain.
There’s a study that found that “biodegradable” glitter degraded at the same rate as regular plastic glitter. I am curious if it’s also acidifying the ocean the same way that regular plastic is.

I also wanted to express my gratitude to you for creating the content that you do and giving out advice. I had never had acne trouble trouble until a few years ago and I've struggled with taming my breakouts and hating my skin. I tried out many trends which most ended in failure. I ended up giving in and subscribed to Curology (with a lot of success in clearing up my skin) near the end of last year and then happened upon your channel. The advice that has most impacted my skin today was when you discussed your skin routine, washing your face in the evening and not the morning, only applying a moisturizing sunscreen then and then go about makeup application/your day. Even the gentle cleanser that had been provided and other store bought gentle cleansers felt like they were stripping my skin. My skin was very dry and it felt like moisturizers weren't being absorbed properly. It took a few days to get used to, but I'm seeing much more hydrated and healthier skin now! So thank you Cassandra! I hope you have a wonderful day!! 💗

I’m in love with Dr. Teals lavender bubble bath. I’m not usually a bubble bath person but it’s natural, smells so nice, and helps my tight muscles.

I'm actually working away from that brand and focusing on more targeted products. But im still loving the pumpkin mask, I get random facial skin tags and it takes them right off with no irritation. And I love there Vitamin C and tri-peptide moisturizer. I can't say if it does what it says its supposed to but my skin loves it. Very moisturizing.

Also, I used some of my Ulta points to get money off on Truly products a while back. I got that bubble bath and REALLY like it. Idk if it does anything g particularly special, but I am a fairly serious runner training for a half marathon and I love taking bubble baths with the Truly bubble bath. It makes my legs feel really nice when they are tired.
Edit: I know there was a quick comment on rose oil. Cassandra if you see this, I don’t recall a video on rose or rose hip oil for skin. Do you have an opinion on that? Or did I miss it in another video?

I have loved bio-oil for a long time, but I've been learning so much from your channel, and I value your opinions on products.
Tbh the scent of bio-oil is nostalgic and comforting to me since my mom used it for such a long time, so I'll probably continue purchasing it but I'll use it on my body instead of my face (I'm becoming more aware of what I choose to put on my face, especially since I suffer from really bad acne)
Cassandra would you recommend the ordinaries retinol in squalene for stretch marks? I use the bio oil for that reason I thought it was cruelty free 😬

This was soooo informative. My daughter is 16 and we are wanting to get her on a better skin care routine. What type of products would you suggest for her. I’ve been using the Pacifica 2% salicylic acid acne warrior cleanser for over a month. I like it. It doesn’t strip my skin. I did have a bit of purging at the begging. A couple of very stubborn pimples. But I’m moving past it and the cleanser continues be my favorite so far.
I hope the Bliss Clean Genius Toner/Serum works for you as well as it does for me! It's been a back acne game changer!!
