Juliana, does the Big Shot Foldaway give more pressure than the standard Big Shot machine? Thanks so much for this great tutorial.
I really don’t know. I had an older machine that was getting worn out and this one was definitely better than that one, but if you’re still getting good cuts then it’s probably not necessary to replace it. Unless of course you just want a new one that has a smaller footprint. 😁
I love this machine, except, I can not get 3D embossing folders to go through the machine. I have to really force handle to turn and I’m afraid I will break the handle. I’ve done it twice but I have to use my thumb to force to turn the handle. The rollers leave roller indentions on the paper. This doesn’t seem right. Has anyone had this issue. I am referring only to the Foldaway. Very disappointed as the 3D folders are gorgeous.

I have actually had this happen and have found that if I put the other end into the machine first that it went through with no problem. I sure hope this helps. If not, you might try reaching out to Sizzix for more assistance.
Yes, I've had the same issue when I used the platform that came with the fold away machine. When I used my old multi-platform, I had no issue.
I just received this exact machine. I also purchased an embossing folder to try it out. Putting together the base piece, the bottom plate, the embossing folder with paper loaded, then the top plate, it will not go through the machine. I am afraid if I force it, it will break. Is this normal? It certainly doesn’t look like anyone else needs to use brute strength to make everything go through. 🫤
you have too many plates. remove the plate that is below the folder and it should go through. but it does take a little strength to hold the machine as you roll it through the machine.
