If anyone finds it useful: the character files are all .bic so if you see a .bic file its a character, I think, so you'd put it in localvault (you can confirm/correct maybe :P)
I can't remember the file extension for characters off-hand but yes, character files go in localvault. Servervault contains all the characters from when you host a multiplayer game.

So I've been trying to download unique armor mods for nwn1 specifically some of the stuff eurgiga makes. And I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but his stuff only works in the modules that come along with the mod. How would I be able to transfer his content over into a campaign or server?
Not built-in. Some mods occasionally have one just for that mod, but for the most part you have to organize things yourself.

how can i fix it if i put something wrong in overwrite?
If you put something in the override folder that's not supposed to be there, just move it to the folder it's supposed to be in. It's not going to break your game or anything.

if you torrented it, I'd suggest just dling the complete/platinum edition instead
If you pirated them I can't help you. All my experience with NWN2 is with retail versions, which worked fine just running the installers.
i wished this would help me. but i still cant get any mod to work in this game. I place every file into the subfolders as requested, I mean im not stupid (hopefully) but still, it simply wont work. and this frustrates me XD

holy crap, NWN doesnt have a mod installer program?
Alright this might be a stupid question but I bought the game on disc and I see the shared file with all the mod and hak folders but I can’t add anything to them. Why is that?
Might be set to read only for some reason. Check the folder properties.
Neither have I. Hence why I'd forgotten exactly what a couple of the files do. :S
Hey, I want to ask a question. I wasn't able to find answer anywhere I looked, so I hope you can help me. When I'm installing mods (CEP and Aielund Saga) and their description says that they introduce new classes, but when I try to make new character (even by running the mode itself, in this case Aielund Saga) they are just not there. To tell the truth I have a very big problem to chose from one of the "vanilia" normal and prestige classes (the lack of Spellswords, Eldritch Knights, etc. - Battle mages man :D), so I would be really grateful, if you can help me :).
You have to be playing a module that uses the mods in order to use the new classes.

No idea. Wasn't even aware NWN had a mobile version, let alone how to mod it.

I have nwn ee and my folder directory looks nothing like that
Enhanced Edition moved all this stuff into the "data" subfolder.

I was gonna install the community expansion pack and it mentions under requirements OC, xp1 and xp2. What do those mean?
OC = base Neverwinter Nights. XP1 = Shadows of Undrentide. XP2 = Hordes of the Underdark.

Thing is that most people installing the CEP would know the lingo. When you break them down it probably makes more sense (OC = "original campaign", XP# = "expansion pack #").

DWTerminator, yesterday I downloaded NeverWinter Nights2 Platinum Edition (Game and expansions pack)...so I don't have any idea how to install. I just read something about "ISO". Can you help me, please?
If you're talking about mod installation... it's the same method as NWN1, just in the NWN2 directory.
No, dude. I was talking about the installation of the game Neverwinter Nights 2 and expansion packs. I downloaded 12GB, cause is the edition platinum, and I don't know how to install.
If you pirated the game, I can't help you. Honestly, just pick up the GoG version. It's cheap ($20 US and it goes on sale for a much lower price than that all the time), DRM-free, and works like a charm.

I always frequented the IGN vault but they took that down. The community seems to have replaced it though (it's titled "The Neverwinter Vault").
