I grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin and worked on other dairy farms. I have driven many different makes and models of tractors. We had a 1486 and that was my favorite tractor to drive of all.
My father owned Olson International dealership and sold this tractor when it was new. I saw the dealership's name-plate and the signature chrome exhaust pipe on this tractor. Great video.
My uncle had a 1066 and 1466 white stripe, and later a 1586. Those were really nice tractors. Another neighbor had had 2 1466 white stripes and some had an 806 and 856s.
@@richtersfarms6512 we replaced a JD 40 with a Ford 3000, and we added a JD 2840 and later a MF 1155. We got up to 165 acres of soybeans. Our neighbors had Super C, H, and Ms, and others had Ford 5000 and 6600, and an 8N. I enjoyed driving the Super C and the 8N
We definitely want a bigger tractor on there. Used to have a 5488 and then a 8400 JD but the 1486 is still a beast it's pulled out stuck D8 caterpillars no problem.
@@richtersfarms6512 did you have any problems with the 5488? I'd like to have something a little bigger than my 1086 to work ground down, but no one in my area has one. My biggest fear is parts availability and the electric powershift hi/low on them
I had a 1086 when I was farming. Great tractor.👍
This was way more enjoyable to me than most other farm videos. I got to hear that DT436 do all the talking!

Great video that is a sweet 1486 in great condition
The old but great DT436 engine in action.
Nice video. I always loved our 1486. Very beautiful tractor you have

International was always my favorite tractor .
What a smooth sounding tractor!
Beautiful 1486

My dad started out with a 1066 on a 21 ft disc. We used to have a 5488 on this one for the longest time.

I even drove a high clear AC 7060 sugarcane tractor once. That was scary being that high up.
I have a 1586, gotta say though im wishing i had that front weight set up!!! 👍👍👍😄😄 P.s, screw these few haters!!! Prolly drive or pull GREEN SHIT!
That's a nice 1486 y'all have.
Exelente tractor
Buen rendimiento en el trabajo
Just a working that tractor. I think that's the most weights I've seen on the front of a tractor at one time.
Pulling weights 😂
How many hours are on this 1486?
2500
Do you ever have problems with the rear end pulling that big of a disc?

The gear packs went out all the time and would need to get repaired other than that it was alright.
I was thinking the same thing. That's a lot of disc for that tractor. Even if it was turned up to 180hp
What disk and How big of a disk was that?
Got enough weight on the front end.
Never
I never seen one this big!
What's with the 5000 ten second clips? That's some annoying 💩
Just clips I had laying around on my phone, don't watch it if you don't like it
