The old 4630 was and is still a great piece of equipment.
I could not tell you how many acres we used to do with our 1939 JD B and a two-row cultivator. Back and forth and back and forth. It did look good when we were done though. We did not hill it like you do, just took care of the weeds.
The 1486 was such good tractor.

Thank you for the video! It brings back many memories. I have thousands of seat time hours in the 86 series tractors. My opinion is that the 86 series were the best tractors made.

They're about a foot tall now, we've been getting consistent rain until now, but it's getting into the heat of summer currently.

What all is going on with this planter? Is it mounted to a Hiniker bar? Thanks
Yes it has a hiniker bar with openers for hardpan ground which we don't use, but we use the assist wheels. It's a 12 row White planter with 3 bushel boxes, starter fertilizer, and herbicide being sprayed by a nozzle in the back of each unit.

We drill most of our soybeans in 15 inch, my dad and I both run a machine

I am sure there is a simple answer but why do some farmers have to apply herbicide with the planter and some don’t? How do you decide?
We apply herbicide when planting because we do not have a sprayer. In the future we just want to put starter on and spray it separately.
