  • Merely an apology. This video just talks about how my last video may have been a little heavyhanded in how I approached travel pictures, an apology really. I also have to apologize to GAS sufferers for not being a good example.

Absolutely agree. For the first few years I took classic “travel pictures” but somewhere along the line I realized I never even took a look at those pictures after transferring them to my computer. So I just stopped taking those images. Now most of my travel images are of my family in those environments or random ‘people or things’ that I usually take (these snapshots usually aren’t within the general definitions of
    Street Photography.

Ira, you never need to apologise. You put forward your point of view, others, including me, had a different stance but I think we each had equally valid reasons. And ALL your videos are good, ALL are entertaining, and I always enjoy seeing them. Stay safe and well.

I understood what you meant the first time. :) I have a camera from 2005 still working. I have G.A.S. as well and I am getting better. I just ask myself do it really need the piece of gear? Then go from there.

I’m sure that, like me, you don’t “need” any more gear, but will you “want” more?
We are of a similar age so I imagine, like me, you were brought up to save for the future, but there comes a time when there is statistically far less future to save for, so why not enjoy yourself if it does not harm the rest of your family.
