I have ordered the RunCam Phoenix 2 Pro, that looks like having a filter in front of the lens, may be its just a protective glass. There are no reviews on that camera anywhere in CZcams. Fingers crossed.

This camera, the Caddx Ratel and the Foxeer Toothless are identical. All of them are amazing! So, if you like it you can choose the brand you most like or go for the lowest price. 😊

I already purchased mine from runcam $26.99 shipped with 1/2" sensor and 2.0 aperture plus the quality control of runcam these new Phoenix 2s will be replacing my caddix ratels. Great video and dont forget to wash your hands thoroughly after handling anything from china lol😉

- Runcam Micro Eagle works at default settings.
- Runcam Phoenix 2 needs different settings...see below...

there is a lot of video noise in the Eagle video which give a bit of unfair comparison...although the Phoenix does look better anyway...
The Eagle 2 pro was my favourite for the longest time just need to turn down sharpening to fix the shimmer issue but then I found the Foxeer Falkor to deliver similar results with a but more punch and recently I’ve really been digging the Caddx Ratel, beautiful colours and WDR like the eagle. This Phoenix looks really promising too and the price is right, thanks for the comparison. What I’m wondering now is which of these CMOS has the lowest latency.
Great cameras they make...the packaging though...how about a pulling tab or a cutout to get your fingers around the box more 😂
Runcam are coming out with so many new cameras it is hard to decide which one to get.
Newbie Comment - Apologies if this has been covered here, or elsewhere. On the video featured on the Runcam website for the Phoenix 2 , you can click through to 9mins and 50secs and there is info about the menu access using a compatible Flight transmitter, plus a 'Hidden' setup menu. OK, I'll go hide under my rock and prepare for incoming :)
How can you enter in the settings of the camera? There is no button
Maybe I'm being sassy, but I wish they installed the boards with these.

don't supose you know If shipping from tbs is being effected by virus as been 2 and half week now still can't track.recieved message from tbs saying glitches and other issues with shipping and courier.waiting for tbs module and recievers to upgrade couple radios

I accedently left this question on the "Nano" review, sorry to double up.. You mentioned if the flight controller had a joystick controller you can run the settings that way. I have found nothing on this and could use some assistance. Mine came with no joy stick board (like most runcam cameras) nor a conector to plug one in. The wire bundle that came with it had nothing on it. I would like to connect it to my Mamba F722 FC and not use a joystick. I appreciate your time and have enjoyed being a long time sub..
Looks like the Mamba is setup to use a camera with a Tx and Rx port (see the wiring diagram) I've only used boards with a Camera Control pin for the menu (see my Armattan builds). Best of luck!

Hey Lee, I’m doing a AR 900 wing build and it’s got the precision for the full size camera. Shane this wasn’t available in the bigger form. What other camera would you suggest?

I have been eye balling this camera myself. Wondering if it would fit in my GEPRC Phantom toothpick? Also I would like to ask, the interference that is in the video, what causes that? I have this in my goggles at times. It does not happen the whole time that I'm flying but it happens. I will say this, the goggles I'm flying with is not diversity. My previous goggles was diversity. I dropped those and had to purchase another pair on a budget. Any feed back would help. I hope it's not the VTX because I don't think I can solder on this guy, too small. Can you switch this camera to user control? Or is it strictly joystick
I came here for the same question. I just did a build with one and I'm not able to do camera control with joystick. My research has shown that you need the runcam OSD controller to be able to use smart audio.
Were you able to get camera control working with the RunCam Phoenix 2?
Not sure, I have not tried...

I’m surprised you rate the Eagle - I find the CMOS cameras rather disappointing and have replaced with a Runcam Swift mini 2 on all my non DJI FPV fleet LOL. As soon as DJI bring out a smaller air unit with a longer cable to the camera, the whole analogue fleet will be replaced for fixed wing FPV.
I'm waiting to see the final version of the ByteFrost system and what DJI bring out next before making an investment.. DJI revision schedule usually means there is another updated version on the way... Happy flying!
Painless360 thanks - yes I’m sure that DJI have new FPV stuff in the pipeline. The current system is amazing. Good range on 700mW and crystal clear in the overhead. Just need a smaller air unit (remove the DJI radio bits) and a longer cable so the Vtx can be on the CG and we’re in business. Keep up the good work!!
How does this compare to the Phoenix Oscar camera?
This is the newer version... better low light performance mainly.

You can buy this, the Micro Eagle has been discontinued by runcam ☹
I can't stand shimmer....!!! A low cost 800TVL $12 LS 17 AIO CMOS gives me a better picture in good light than many highly rated FPV cams that cost 3 times the price and shimmer so bad I refuse to use them.... and everyone that see the DVR footage agrees... amazing how different eyesight is from one person to another.
