Love this idea! I'll have to remember it for when I get enough extra drills. I'd buy them, but my husband will think I'm crazy for buying more drills and not using the ones I already have. But, like I said, I'll keep this in mind for later.

This is a great. I was going to suggest coloring it first but you beat me to it. You could even print simple pictures with a graph photoshop overlay to customize this idea even farther. I am so glad you mentioned that tidbit about the tombow. I was going to purchase some to seal my first diamond art club painting. It's a holiday one so I want it to have many years of use. Thank you so much for these videos.
That's the beauty of doing these graph pictures, there are so many ways to do them!! You can be as creative as you want - I am having so much fun with them. I'm on my fourth one now!! I am so disappointed with the Tombow glue - I'm just glad I didn't use it on one of my favorite DPs!

Such a cool idea. I will try this but first I’ll scan it and shrink it until the boxes measure 2.5 for squares to avoid the white showing.

I love this idea. I work in a nursing home, as an activity aide. I used diamond painting as a craft, and I have some residents that love it. This would be a great idea for them. I’m going to get them some of these to do. I just subscribed to your channel.

I like this great idea too and I have also much left over drills. Instead of a colouring book I also use cross stich embroidery patterns with DMD colours and than you can see what the picture will look like.
That would be a great way to use up your leftover drills!!

This is really cool, just love your idea! It would be great to find a grid small enough to lay over any coloring book to create diamond paintings from any favorite coloring book. Will definitely keep this in mind, very clever Grace!

I think this will be a good way to translate a cross stitch pattern to diamond painting! Print out a blank grid on card stock. Thanks for the idea!

Hi Lin!! I only seal my DPs if I don't put them in a frame, as the glass will keep the drills from drying out and getting dirty. Otherwise, I use a sealer, just to keep them from getting dirty - I will do that video soon!

I have some coloring books that would be cool to change into diamond paintings also. They don’t have to be the mystery ones all the time do they? Glad your doing good! Thanks for sharing!!
Hi Terry!! You can use any type of coloring book you like!! The sheets are double-sided adhesive - I have links to them in my Amazon store in the description under the video. These are fun to do!!

Hope I can buy this in Hobbycraft UK as I made a a Christmas picture years ago with tracing from a poinsettia table cloth on to a large canvas that I then coloured in with felt tip pens I'd love to turn it in to a diamond painting
Great idea! Just a thought, since the grid is just a little too big, if you have a home printer/copy machine you could copy the picture at a slightly reduced size.
You certainly could!! For rounds, this size is pretty good, not sure if I would want them any smaller, but for squares, that would be fantastic! 😊

@@gbmaltese thank you for replying to me and for the link. I also have been researching on line and I found a company called Diamond Paint with Sparklers. I have an order on the way from them. They have just about every kind of drill you can think of! They also sell enhancement kits that correspond to mainly DAC and Dreamer Design kits you buy separately. Also I wanted to post the picture I made with a page out of the animal mosaic book. I bought 2 of the books you suggested and the "canvas" double sided tape sheets. It came out pretty good and I had fun doing it. I couldn't figure out how to post the pic on here 🤷♀️

I use Small sheets of parchment paper on my diamond art and do small areas at a time. I remove the cover and replace it with the parchment paper. The paper comes off very easy.
I enjoy using silicone release papers, as I like to do large areas at a time. We each have our favorite way of working on these 😊

you can buy the adhesive from Amazon. The adhesive is Diamond painting double side tape. You can also get the drills from Amazon. If you have Jo-ann store in your area they sale Diamond Dotz drills. I do alot of freestyle of diamond painting. Thank you for the video is a great idea.

I love using the Diamond Dots on these. I also bling them out with Sparklers and other Crystals! They are so fun to make!! You are very welcome!!
What's the best software to use for custom diamond painting. I used art stitch easy and I previewed the painting before printing, and after completing the picture, one of the faces looks too clumped up with the same colour. I was sent a screen grab of a picture. Any ideas as I wanted the faces to have better detail.
I haven't tried any types of software.
I'd be afraid of doing my own bcuz how do you determine how much of each drill you will need before you start? I can just see myself attempting to do my own painting, only to find I ran out of drills for whichever color when I thought I had enough leftover which is why I don't rely on my leftovers. Is there a specific thing that you do to assure that you have enough?
I just ordered 10 or 12 bags of each color. I didn't do anything specific to figure it out.
