It’s official, FC Bachira vs Manshine City will be the battle of the losers! That’s right, the two worst teams in the NEL will duke it out to earn their first ever victory in the NEL. And the other team? They will remain as a team of losers who were unable to secure a win in the NEL.
The stakes are high for this one and in its own way, it's just as important as the highly anticipated PxG vs Bastard Munchen match. There are, of course, some questions going into the FC Bachira vs Manshine City matchup.
Questions like: “Who will win?”, “Who will be the MOTM?” “Will Bachira rise to the occasion? Can he successfully carry his team to victory? Or “Will it be Chigiri, who has been carrying Manshine City in the absence of Nagi?

It doesn't matter, Bachira will be a starter, his future in the world cup is assured, his value won't drop if he lose that match. I predict two goals for Bachira and a hattrick for Nagi.
Very true, no matter what Bachira is play in the U20 WC. He has already earned his spot and currently sits at 5th spot out of the top 23. Its basically impossible for him not to make the team at this rate.
Chris Prince vs Lavinho is matchup I would pay to see! Hopefully Kaneshiro lets us see some of this match and not just focus on PXG vs BM.

This could be such a good match, like imagine nagi on the bench with a new formation of chigari as ace, then seeing Chris hop in because Lavihnio goes in. Watching players like them and Bachira along with being on the bench gives nagi the most drive to want to be creative and play.
Realistically, Chigiri should be the center of the team. His golden formula has been proven to be effective and he has the perfect playing style that matches Manshine’s Speed and Rush philosophy.
Reo seems to excel at image training; maybe he and Nagi could come up with a shadow boxing regimen? Basically move in practice as if to counter one of Isagi’s many counters. Drawing from shared experience could help Nagi connect the dots w the bits of inspiration he was looking for w answers from the other strikers.
This wouldn’t be a bad idea to help Reo but I think for Nagi he needs his own inspiration and originality in terms of his ego. It’ll be interesting to see what it is
Bachira deserves to win a match for carrying FC BARCHA but that being said Nagi and Reo meed the win more for plot purposes. Personally, I wanna see FC BARCHA win but I think Kaneshiro is gonna hand them the win to further help Nagi and Reo’s development.
For plot purposes, it feels like Kaneshiro will give it to Manshine City. The hunts towards Nagi and Reo in these last few chapters just feel so telling.
Tbh, I want FC Bachira to win. I think that Reo will see Nagi as a burden and leave him as payback. I want Nagi to evolve and score the second goal for Manshine but then lose cuz it’ll teach him to humble himself. I just want Bachira to win, big bro deserves that minuscule lick of love

Just look at the entirety of Nagi’s career, he’s barely ever put in any effort is just automatically(I remember also hearing that he’s the author’s favorite from somewhere but idk). I love Nagi a lot but I feel like it’s be great to finally see him put in so much effort and still lose so he can gain an ego of his own by learning that he’s got a long way to being the best. While Nagi behaves like a child and keeps clinging onto Reo, who’s been stated to be holding him back by Agi(due to lack of creativity), which is why he’s not improved since his super goal against BM, Bachira has been putting his hardest in and listening to the advice he gets, so it’s abt time he gets some love

Manshine City running away with this one. Barcha’s redemption isn’t highlighted enough or even important in the sense of the overall plot before U20 WC.
The mangaka always was a hard Real Madrid fan so it was obvious for a long time that FC Barcha wasn't going to win any matches.

Hear me out: Manshine should lose again. Why? What is beating barcha gonna prove? They beat a team that has like 1-2 good players outside of bachira and lavinho. If they were to lose to them it would be a perfect way to show just how low nagi has fallen setting him up for a huge comeback AND give bachira a much needed victory to secure his spot as one of the best in the NEL he is the only player who has to carry the offensive by himself (don't count barou because he has a system made for him)
Ngl this doesn’t really make sense. Plot-wise, Reo and Nagi received many hints in recent chapters so they are more important at this moment. Plus Otoya and Bachira are in the top 10 so they don’t need the boost as much as Reo and Nagi. Reo is at the cusp of being kicked out of the top 23 so logically Manshine City needs the win more.

@@BakeR-wb8wv Nah it makes perfect sense to me. Nagi and Reo need to be hit with a gut punch of reality. They are still trying to hold onto each other and it's better that they lose and just barely make it for U-20 world cup for the full redemption. Yes they have been built up for a redemption, but then it would feel not as impactful if they just have it after just going through FC Barcha. It would be more realistic and build more depth in both of their characters for the ACTUAL redemption to happen after NEL because then they could properly awaken and learn not to be so codependant on each other, so they can let go to grow and build their OWN personal egos. A way I think FC vs MS should go is that Nagi should have an awakening during FC and Bachira should be the one to do it. It would be a perfect way to mirror how Nagi forced Bachira to awaken his own ego during the second selection when he talked about how poor he was performing and that picking Rin would be better. So Nagi would awaken during this match and make plays that would give chigiri and reo more options to show something new. This way their value would boost in the bid. They'd still lose, but they would have enough value to stay in the top 23. Nagi would then take the time to reflect on his new ego and awakening and would have better prep time to showcase his new self in the world cup.

If MC doesn't win against FC, there is a high chance Nagi and Reo can get dropped from Rankings bellow 23 especially Reo. However, on the otherside , Bachira and Otoya still have proven to be a deadly duo on NEL even though they didn't win any match so far and also they had secured good enough biddings for themselves unlike Reo & Nagi duo. Even if FC loses i think Bachira and Otoya will be safe with their Ranking and be on Top 23 but same can't be said for Reo & Nagi if MC loses

I feel like after the pxg vs bm to decide the overall winner, viewers will look down on the match but be blown away by desperate players giving some of their best performances. In terms of plot maybe it’d make more sense to end on a high note, but subversions of expectations are always fun and having the losers game be mind blowing could boost their offers from clubs
Yeah very much, anything could happen between these two teams. The desperation of all these players trying to get their first win in the NEL the sky is the limit. It could prove to be highly entertaining.

Not bad, its very understandable. Both of these matches are high staked and carry a lot of weight in terms of players’ status and future prospects.
ngl I think Otoya and Bachira and gonna score and then Nagi, Reo, and Chigiri are gonna start playing insanely well. Chigiri is gonna shut down Bachira with his speed, Reo is gonna copy meta vision and make great plays and I think the only way Nagi can be redeemed with how bad he's been doing compared to his potential is a hat trick. This is fckin unfair!!!!! My boy Bachira is carrying the dead team on his back! The guy scored goals in every game he played, Im pretty sure he solod all those goals like he did against Bastards. The guy score on his own against Ubers! Just so you know, they got new gen 11 player as a defender who marks a stricker and he is not scoring. Im pretty sure he marked Bachira and he still scored. That's not it, they got Don Lorenzo, Aiku, Nico, Snuffy (all of them got Metavision), and Baroh as the deadliest stricker and Bachira still scored on them. It's not like Ubers playing against all other teams, here we got the only striker, if Lorenzo marks you, you are not scoring, against other teams they couldn't shut down strikers completely bc there are lot of them. Lorenzo marks Rin, ok there is Shidou. Lorenzo marks Kaiser, ok there is Isagi. Lorenzo marks Nagi, ok there is Chigiri. There is no other stricker in Barcha to back up Bachira's marking. That pisses me off!! My boy is being thrown in a trash team and gets no spotlights. Hate authors so much for this, and there is more, Nagi has to awaken at some point in this match, so it's guaranteed that Bachira is gonna lose again bc of stupid plot cliche

Bachira is already safe and has an ensured spot on the Japan U20 team. Nagi and Reo need more than just a goal each to be above safety.
