You can still see a decent amount of it as it appeared in the show, right now. They are in the process of emptying the fake stores and removing signage as we speak. They left it all intact in the hopes it could be turned into some kind of attraction for fans of the show, but that didn't pan out.

I was an extra in the mall scenes, and the street fight scene, and pool scenes...( and idk if they put me in some others, or cut out the ones I was in) there was also supposed to be a underground beach hike scene, but they cut that, I got a featured part and had to fall on mike and I had ONE line to say to him, and they cut the scene out💀😭 but I was shaking the whole time

I was a background actor for Stranger Things 3! I was at the carnival tho...not the mall. We always be going to TV show sets and studios. I love it. (Not bragging eaither)
I live about an hour away from there.
I live in that area and no one ever goes to that mall bc its always been super run down and someones died in there before its kinda sketch lol but its called Gwinnett place mall.
I remember going out to watch Gwinnett Place Mall being built in the fall of 1983...no one could figure out why they were putting a mall so far out in the country lol, wow so much has changed

Ha ha at 3:02 you drove by one of the coolest props, which is the car that Eleven throws across the food court using her powers. Of course in December no one would have known this was a used film prop. It appears to be just sitting out in the parking lot!

They film like 5 minutes away from me and go to a local lunch spot! It’s super cool to see, I’ve never met any of the cast but we all see them around frequently.

I live in Covington Georgia so I’ve been to a few of these locations a ton of times! The actors and actresses have been in one of my favorite restaurants, I love Stranger Things!

hawkins lab is an old abandoned mental asylum, now the cinema industry have taken over it and its used in multiple of productions

hi all! just wanted to give a quick disclaimer that this video was taken months before season 3 even came out. the security was so strict because they literally just wrapped up filming when i was there! also, apparently wills house was filmed inside of a studio so I didnt get to go to his house! if you go to 3:03 you can see the car which is in the final episode of season 3, which i didn’t notice at the time!
