Hello dear audience, we are living in istanbul, too many stray cats and kittens are living in our area. We are trying to feed and help the stray cats as much as we can. I visited Istanbul, Turkey for the first time as a tourist during February 2017, staying in the historic district near the Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet (Blue) Mosque. I saw and enjoyed the charming, beautifully photographed Turkish documentary film "Kedi" when first released in the USA during February 2017. Until this time I didn't know Istanbul is famous for its cats, part of the city's culture for as long as the city has existed, previously known as Constantinople.

Cats never forget those who are kind and loving to them! There's a couple of cats at my local farm/park in my town and every time they see me and my boyfriend, they run over meowing and purring! One of them headbonked my hand when I came over and it melted my heart. Another one let me hold him and purred when I was grieving the loss of my cousin last summer.

Yet i saw a video of a cat inspecting a pregnant mom, and bonding so sweet! I have wild feral cats that sunbathe and stalk the birds i feed... There’s one Orange Ginger cat, that trusted me and he got in a turf war with another boy cat.. The nurse took the injured Ginger home and helped him recover and somehow, he made it back to the work place. I hardly see him much.. 😭😭😭😭 but that’s his turf and I respect ✊ him.

To live in a place so filled with cats would be a dream :-)
i am in phoenix az, praying to retire in italy near family. there are many stray cats there too. if some of these are feral, this seems the most loving way to socialize them. it's important they know we are aware of how adorable and precious they are. plus they do something wonderful for us in return that i cannot explain, just by watching and hearing them on videos.

I think these videos are taken in Turkey. That country is known for incredible hospitality towards cats. I’m sure that’s why the cats are so comfortable with approaching humans in the first place. Very used to the hospitality and that’s why they are also taken care of even as strays.
