- The feature length documentary film released in 2021 finds its home on CZcams.
The production team and myself would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this film possible. That means you guys that paid to watch this film, it allowed us to recoup some of the expense that goes into making projects like this. Without that possibility, projects like this would never be made. So thank you once again for supporting this film.
Champion drifter James Deane is set to make history in the US championship Formula Drift, attempting to win the championship three times in a row. Derailed by unsuspected obstacles, perspectives shift as he fights to stay on the track.

If you like the film, please go and let us know what you think on IMDB. We were incredibly grateful to learn that people loved the film upon its release. If there's room in the future to look at doing more projects, that's how we know you the audience liked what you saw. It means we can take that information to production companies, develop funding opportunities and hopefully make more films like this.
This has got to be the best motorsport documentary of the year.

This documentary still gives me the chills…. I drive in FD PROSPEC and it’s still surreal when I stand next to James or see him walking around in the pits
Love this and I think a lot of us drivers look up to him
Glad to hear the drivers like it, I came at this from a variety of different angles. I want to bring new fans to the sport and have it digestible but James's legacy in the sport is irrefutable, so I didn't want the fans and drivers to not get anything out of it. Enjoy prospec, that's awesome that you're out there doing it. Hope to see you out there in the big show one day! Keep the dream alive. Thanks for checking out the movie.
James Deane the greatest drifter ever of all times
bro dropped THE documentary and its going unappreciated
@@ozhansharifi889 it’s all good! We just put it out on CZcams. Plenty of love. The whole team is grateful to everyone for checking it out. You appreciate it and that’s what matters.
Loved this documentary! Please make a part 2 once this man completes his streak with RTR team that covers the wreck in Irwindale and the fire in Long beach.
Clipping Point : Road To Irwindale?
I began to get obsessed in Drifting because of this guy. Huge appreciation to the film makers and everyone who was part of this. This means so much to people like me ♥
@@DB.naveth Very happy to hear that. People like yourself is why we did it. Thanks for showing the appreciation. It means a lot!
James Deane is the new generation DK!!
Josh we need continuation maybe at end of 2024 when he get 4th fd championship as he is on right track to do so.
@@jankesbmw You got a petition going! I’m down.
My favorite James Moment of 2024 is the win in Long Beach, the way he just fell in pure bliss, the raw emotion and the rain making the moment perfect, it was amazing 🤌
By far best motorsport docco I've ever watched, even pips road to le man's that porsche did. Cinematography, edit and storyline was all perfect. Killer vid that does justice for what a true legend of drifting Mr 130 is 💪
Literally the only thing I've purchased on Vimeo, excellent documentary
same excellent documentary
One of my favorit movies of all time😍🔥🔥
That’s awesome to hear ❤️
DAMNNNN i've wanted so muchh to see this back when FD was showing the trailer!
I REALLY gotta say, this was a beautifully crafted, motivating Documentary, been watching drifting since 2017 and have been a fan of James for just as long, this really went deep behind the scenes and showed moments that are usually not seen if you just watch the event livestreams or vlogs of these drivers. Thank you for making and uploading this!
Really appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching.
Omg that breakdown by Tanner Foust on qualifying was so good!
This is outstanding, well done! This man is potentially one of Ireland's most successful sportspeople and is never mentioned as such. Like a lot of you in the comments are saying I too wouldn't be a drift fan of it wasn't for James Deane. He used to share the drift streams on FB and after watching them I was hooked.
Bloody good film
Videos like this for drifting definitely needs to be made more of, especially for the other driver around the world❤
I might go see a few of them, do some smaller scale projects! We’ll see. Thanks for watching!
Wow, just wow! I absolutely love this film, just finished watching. I find myself deeply relating to him and this film just makes me want to pursue my drifting passion even more, even though it’s tough for my right now! When James said he wants to give someone the “opportunity” in the upcoming years, It would be my absolute dream for that person to be me and I am going to PROVE why I’m a worthy person!
This was fantastic what a roll model for young difters wanting to start there own path to be a worldwide name and legend in the world of drifting
you def need more than 152 subscribers after this documentary
Proud to be apart of this. ❤
@@Project249 couldn’t be more grateful for your work on this! The voice of the movie 😎 ladies and gentlemen Peden Nielsen 👏 I’ll be giving you a proper shout in a little Q&A clip sir. Wouldn’t have been able to finish it without you ❤️
Badass I was pinned from beginning to end. Great piece on one of the best in the world. Nice work
Love to hear it. So glad people are enjoying the film.
What a movie! Great job

Yoooo this is amazing. So impressive to document so much across such a span of time and across the world - not an easy film to make! Well done mate.

James D's movie? nahh, this is 💯 fire!
@@RAFFMEDIA_ 🙌
Weird listening to the main commentator saying he doesn’t want James to win
And then his commentary being really one sided against Deane in the 2019 battle with Wang
James super humble amazing driver deserves everything he’s accomplished
An amazing job! Josh, i have to ask, here in brazil i am an drift driver and announcer (also i create content for youtube). I want to ask to you if i can do an react of this piece in livestream translating for our Brazilian drift community. I have a lot of people, subscribers, drivers, team members asking me to do this, to know the history of the legend James Deane. So now, after you posted this opened here in youtube, can i realize this idea?
I never do this before, cause i know this piece of art (and work) its an ppv movie, so for the respect i have to James and the team who make this, i never did it. (Cause its wrong).
Now, today, what you think? Can i do this? Can i have this permission? Can i react and translate this piece of art and amazing history for our drift community here in Brazil?
I appreciate the courtesy and respect in asking. The whole point in putting this out on CZcams was so that people could see it. Of course as long as you make it clear what you’re doing as an introduction to the clip, then please go ahead. I wouldn’t want CZcams taking it down. Thank you again for the respect in asking permission. Much love to the Brazilian drift community. I hope to visit one day! I’m sorry we couldn’t afford to do translations and subtitles in other languages. All the best.
@@joshallendirector Thank for this man, and once again, congratz for this huge work. If you want help with the pt-br subtittles, i can help it, just let me know.
Thanks again for give the permission, and, i'll lovely add an intro talking about your work and share this video, asking for our community to epxress their gratitude for that here! This type of content are inpirational for us.
@@HaiCamatti Quite alright. I appreciate the respect and love for the project and of course the sport.
So i bought it on vimeo….. “all these years of academy training wasted.”
Oh cool, I wanted to watch this a while back but couldnt find it anywhere
Thanks for checking it out. It's here to stay now. Enjoy!
Was on vimeo
could have paid for it.
Thank you so much for bringing James's drift story to us all. I new about half of his story, not so much of his early days.i have learned something new today. Bonus.
yes fd japan when
👍👍👍👍👍👍🫶👍👍👍👍👍👍
No they can't tell anything they've not been right in the moment when crashes happen they don't do replays when they need to they jump guns are biased and ignore a lot of things. That's literally the FD judges I a nutshell.
Cry about it.
Is that Peden Nielsen doing the narration?
@@Welderman12 the one and only
@joshallendirector knew it! He done a great job 👏 🙌
Can someone explain what that backstory was with Daren and homeland security and getting back to comp in the US? I have watched this doc a hand full and can’t grasp what this was about.
@@SaleenDrift To work in the US, don’t quote me on this, non US citizens need a relevant visa. Darren wasn’t necessarily working for the team as far as I know, certainly not in any full time capacity but homeland security thought otherwise and because he was spotting for James on the event in question, they deemed this as working. From memory he had corresponding texts on his phone, that was good enough for them to turn him down. He just didn’t have the right visa as far as they were concerned basically. Darren obviously competed in years prior and he would have had the correct visa once upon a time. It was all a bit last minute. He wasn’t trying to get away with anything as far as I understand. Make sense?
oh, that makes me feel so much better about having paid for it. next time I'll just wait. or pirate it .
Do you need a hug? Myself and the team are (and this is sincere) unbelievably grateful to everyone that paid for the film. It’s people like you that mean we would even consider doing a project like this again. To scratch the surface. The film actually cost £200 a year just to host on Vimeo on demand and provide a platform to charge. So that you can even begin to stand a chance at recouping some of the massive expenditure. They also take around 25% of what good people like yourself paid. That’s without getting into the three years it took to make this film. Including the year that was 2020, where myself and my wife were unable to secure work for months on end. We actually lost our house. If it wasn’t for the contributions from BC Racing and Falken (a very small amount) this film would never have even been finished. For what was ultimately a project that didn’t make any money at all. It stands to reason that if you added up all the hours that went into it, it’s balance sheet would read minus £250,000 or thereabouts. Just some food for thought. If you still feel the same way, then please accept apologies from everyone involved. Once again, thank you for contributing. The decision to put this film out was not taken lightly but by all means, if you still have objections. I will do my best to rectify your concerns.
Does this mean whenever a film you’ve purchased appears on Netflix or TV, you get angry 😂 man that’s exhausting …
@@charleypert6390 Do you not pay for netflix or TV? Does your mom dress you in the morning?
@@joshallendirector That's all good and well and has basically nothing to do with my point. We paid (gladly as far as I'm concerned) to watch it. Anyone can see that it is "expensive" for what it is in the grand scheme of things, comparing to the normal price of videos and that is ok because we were in for a special thing. Now, I doubt any of the people who paid for it had anything to do with your personal conditions and I'm pretty sure a lot were also heavily affected by the pandemic.
Saying that, you're now giving it to anyone for free and that is not going to make you any further money, is it?
So while there was no wrongdoing towards you, definitely not by those who paid, we can now see that our purchase was unnecessary.
You careless person 🤣🤣🤣🤣
1:33:32 an he has made that happen with his new giveaway turn key drift car 💯 . Hats off to you sir. 🩵
Man I miss those Worthouse S15s everyday 😂
Side note - I also miss those Falken cars so iconic
