    Dan, you are a blessing and gift. Very few people nowadays would share all this valuable info and videos for free as you’ve been sharing for years now. I haven’t used your coaching services but I’ll gladly buy your book when it comes out and I’m sure I’ll buy a few copies for friends and family. Your advice and videos have helped me infinitely more than any doctor I’ve seen in the past. Ironically, TMS has taught me to be a better person. I have learned to be resilient. I have learned patience and to be gracious to myself and others. I have learned how to think better and to have a joyful attitude regardless. My pain and TMS symptoms are now about 98% gone. God is good. Please do not stop doing this work. Godspeed.

    Thanks Dan. Yes the ideal situation is to disengage with symptoms and get re-engaged with life. While trying to stop rumination in the sense of just not engaging with symptoms by starving them of attention. Not by trying to force them out of our awareness, because that implies a lot of effort and is also impossible, but by not paying them any extra attention incl. not "fixing". As far as I can see, we are trying to reach a relaxed place, close to effortlessness, instead of an intense fix, fix mentality.
    Over time we can get better at it. Patience and as you say, courage and resilience.

    Really good insight Dan, on resilience, thank you. And I’d say that, fear is an energy, when it is stuck for a prolonged period of time, it will immobilise the body. We notice with stiff syndrome, some are having miraculous recovery applying intense pressure on the nerves that makes the patient scream, but hold on to it to TRULY feel the pain, until they wear out. They started to mobilise and no longer needing crutches.
    It’s an analogy that, building “resilience” to facing this challenge is critically important on the way to healing.
    One of the best ways also is exercise, or go out in nature, do some breath work, or go to Dan’s classes and talk to like minded people, express yourself- or cry it loud if you like..as a way to release this energy.
    Despite of any trauma, a healthy brain can see logic, you just have to show it- it enables the unconscious part to see what it didn’t see. On the negative side, the more the brain delves inwards, the more unfounded symptoms and worries it perpetuates, traumatising its circuits causing deformities in the body for some people.

    • @thelaceygirl
      @thelaceygirl Před 9 dny +4

      Where do I find info about the method of putting pressure on the nerves you mentioned?

    • @allthetopbananas4232
      @allthetopbananas4232 Před 9 dny +4

      @@thelaceygirl Obviously we would not want to type their info on here, but you can find their videos or reels about their work on hundreds of patients on social media, somewhere in Asia I think, like the Chinese therapy on reflexology. They have nothing else or any tools to use. Just know the pressure points to press on specific areas on limbs and shoulders. Some who were unable to speak, were able to speak out again…through screaming. I would imagine, the release of energy is like weightlifting.
      They say, it’s all in the brain. Some sort of blockage that needs to be released. They got up themselves without the need of crutches and walk…may at first can’t make it straight, but as it says, because the brain is still used to the old way, but eventually brought back the confidence, the normal way of walking. Therefore, it comes to understanding that basically, it’s how you train your brain.

    Love this (approx. 10:55)
    1. Understand it
    2. Make sure it applies to me
    3. Coach myself through it
    4. Teach myself I’m safe emotionally, physically and mentally
    5. Consistently respond to symptoms in an unconcerned way
    6. Shift my attention more towards living my life
    7. On tough days, learn to be more resilient by coaching myself through it
    8. Have a “can do” attitude, not a “I can’t do this” attitude

    Stomach bloating is down alot - pushing through going to the gym - much trimmer - don't know my weight before or after but just seeing the inches melt off - because I look much better - the only thng I can accomplish is prayer in the morning, breakfast and then gym - when I get home I have to nap the rest of the evening. Yeah, anxiety can go off the charts with the smallest thing. And my own thoughts racing away but then I try to remember I don't have to believe every thought. Getting physicallly in shape and stronger helps give me a more optimistic future.

    I've come to recognize my own compulsions by thinking about all of the things and attempts I do to calm down my anxiety, and cutting them out in order to build my resilience to these emotions.
    At first this increased my anxiety by quite alot, my sleep quality went down because of that. But after sometime I noticed a shift in my ability to handle the anxiety I constantly ran away from, I can let it be and feel it - this actually makes me feel safer I realized, teaching and showing myself that compulsions are not needed and anxiety is not dangerous nor the symptoms it brings :)
    The realization that I don't need to run from it anymore, I finally get your teachings Dan I feel like I got it!
