in this video we pull out an old smoke machine to get ready for a new engine.

One question, what did you do with engine mounts? Did you get new Geo Tracker ones?

Thanks for watching! I'm using Dodge 318 motor mounts. About $5 at AutoZone. They are not as tall as the stock mounts so the engine won't hit the hood. The studs are bigger so you will have to drill out the holes a little for them to fit.

Does the original engine mount works? How about the wire harness, how you manage it?

Yes you can use the original mounts but it'll make the engine sit higher and will hit the hood unless you have a body lift. And for the harness I used a wiring diagram and just removed anything that wasn't used for the engine itself. You can search on Google for samurai 16v wiring diagram and there is a diy PDF on how to do it.
