Hi CZcams Family and Friends,
I'm making over a couple of thrifted vases in this video along with some chunky candlesticks to look like pottery. This is a new technique for me. But heck why not give it a try.

Love watching you try new techniques.
Thank you
I love the candlestick with the additional colors!! Great job!!
Oh.. thank you
Love the candle sticks.....very warm and earthy
I am glad that you are carrying out projects with new techniques and colors, so that we too can enrich ourselves by seeing new techniques. Thanks!
Wow amazing I have a couple chunky vases. Can't wait to try this
I love the candlesticks but OM Goodness those vases are stunning!! All that texture and those colors!! Yes!!
Aww.. thank you
Wasn't real sure of the black candlesticks but after adding the lighter colors, I really like the way they turned out.
Love the techniques you used. They look great in the basement.
Thank you
I love how the vases came out. Not too sure about the candle sticks, but you got them the way you loved them in the end and that's what counts. TY for another excellent Vid.
Thank you.. 🤍
Love the vases. The classic shapes play well with the finish. They look ancient...found in a Greek ruin. But the classic shapes are timeless. As always your vision is wonderful.
Aww.. thank you
Love these pieces! Maybe add a bronze or gold to the candlesticks? Are you using a respirator when spraying? You definitely should! Anything aerosolized is going to land in your lungs and bloodstream. Over time, it can do some real irreversible damage. Anyhoo… I really enjoy your tutorials!
Edit to add: Maybe try taking one of the vases and adding a dipped look by painting the bottom few inches up the side in a contrasting neutral like copper?
Yes.. I always protect my lungs. Thank you
Thank you for taking risks and showing us, teaching us new things that are truly FANTASTIC!! I love pottery so needless to say I can't wait to try this. Thank you, Yvonne for teaching me showing me and it's okay taking risks, having fun and believe in your own masterpiece. I absolutely love your channel...🥰🥰🥰 I learn something new each and every time...👍🥰😍💕🤯
Aww.. thank you for sharing that 💝
I’m currently obsessed with painting vases in different ways like you did here. Yours look great!
Oh girl, are you seeing what is being said about your candle sticks and vases!? They are stunning! Fabulous 👌 job.
Love this video. Such a good idea !
Massive pieces are my favorites !!
Love how you made them look like pottery.
Love them love everything you do !!
I'm so happy for you that you're enjoying your retirement from hairdressing. I can see you're having a blast creating now that you have time. Love the vases. Not sure on the candle sticks. 😊
I love all your stuff, the vases are awesome, candle sticks are not quite my fave. 😆
Oh thank you!
I love the jugs! I also like the candlesticks with the lighter paint. Hope you keep them all, they look great in your home.
Oh thank you. Yep, I have no plans of selling them right now
Wow! Love both of these! The vases are amazing and I really like the candlesticks! So big and pretty!
I love the silver painted candlestick. And I love the vases
Once again you’ve outdone yourself. Love, love, love these.
Everything is beautiful. Favorites are the vases just because I like those colors.
Thank you
lol! Don't you know editing can make anything look so simple and beautiful. That's why I appreciate your honesty. You share the whole process with us so we know that sometimes you just have to keep trusting the process and other times, sand it and start over.
Thank you!!!
Thank you
I love the texture and color on the candlesticks!
I like em all :) Thank You for showing us all how everything you see in a 30 second video can take time to create exactly what you were looking for!! This was so informative and fun.

You gave those 4 pieces a totally new life! They look perfect on your coffee tables! Hope you keep them😊
Even flat black they look so much better. But, what you created with them is inspiring. Can't wait to try this.
I think all of it was lovely! I adore the vessels with that technique, they are gorgeous to me.❤
The vases and candlesticks turned out amazing!! Love all of them! Great job 👍🏻
The candles turned out to look like old wood. Very nice!
Aww.. thank you
Awesome idea. I am a wood turner, and I will be trying this over some not so pretty wood.
I am not really a vase sort of gal normally, but I do like what you did with the vases, perfect for dry grasses etc. And the candle sticks! What can I say? They are just jaw dropping, I love them. If I get in my little boat and come across the big pond to your house would you mind me pinching them? Haha, They are amazing, just gorgeous.
Aww.. thank you for sharing that
Your vases turned out gorgeous but I also love the candlesticks to! A great technique to create vintage looking items!

I just finished doing a ceramic vase today. I love the result! So much fun! It cost me $2.24 and was a clearance item from Hobby Lobby. I need to head to the thrift stores soon!😊 Loved your projects!
I thrifted a large vase three months ago, this is exactly what I'm going to do to it! Thanks for the continued inspiration 🥰
Oh.. thank you for sharing that
I love all of them! I wasn't sure about the candle stick and black but I have to say I love them, they look like completely different candle sticks. They would go with about anything. And the vases are stunning. I dont blame you for keeping them all. Great job. God bless

Fun idea! Might have to try out getting that pottery look. The candle sticks turned out great!
Oh.. thank you for sharing that. It was a fun project
Please MIX GLUE INTO THE COMPOUND
IF YOU DO NOT
THE COMPOUND WILL DRY UP AND NOT HOLD IT WILL FALL OFF
THEIRS NOTHING TO HOLD IT ON TO THE VACE
IVE DONE IT
IT WORKS AND LAST MUCH LONGER WITH THE GLUE ADDED
I USE ELMER'S WHITE GLUS
Absolutely love both items..vases and candle sticks.lighter colour.great video thankyou for sharing
Thank you so much 😊
Nice to see a new technique! thanks for being brave and trying this out so I can try it too! :) you have such an amazing eye for color, and I so appreciate you and your work!!!

Both makeovers are nice. The candlesticks are my favorite.
Yvonne, this was so much fun to watch! What a great technique! My favorite moment for the candlesticks was right after you applied the first grey layer over the black. But still, in the end, everything looked beautiful.
Very helpful as always! Love how all of them turned out!
Aww. Thank you
I love this, what a great idea! It's funny, during Covid I started hoarding Waverly paints and waxes so I have most of those colors, just didn't know what to do with them. Now I know! Thanks for sharing 🥰
your welcome
Yvonne, I've fallen in love your two vases 😍😍😍 Beautiful transformation 👏👏
Aww.. thank you
I like them! I like the candlesticks with all the color on them. Great job!
Fantastic, love what you did to them. 🤗👏💜❤️
Loved it all. Don't feel like you cared to much for candle sticks. Don't worry it'll pop in your head and you will do them right.
Great job on them all..love them.
I love them! Excellent project.
Very nice Yvonne and you could also add a thin layer of gauze over joint compound for even more texture.
Oh.. true
I liked what you decided to do with the candle stick at the end.
I have a cool story for everyone.....while we were remodeling our kitchen which I wanted in a European
Spanish farmhouse style, I desired something with texture.....it was joint compound....I began applying this to the walls as well as the ceiling. It was almost done by the time DH got home from work. It has been many years and still looks fantastic with texture and dimension. A relatively easy and effective application. Subbed and thankyou for inspiring me yet again to do something wonderful!!
They are beautiful. Much better than the before.
They all looked amazing, I'm looking at nearly the same as the large vase you gave a make over to and I'm thinking should I. Well yes I'm gonna give it a go. Fingers crossed for me.😊
Oh.. have fun
They turned out beautifully. Looked like fun putting on that joint compound! Like playing in the mud 👍
Yes..it was🤗
Great tutorial! I've been looking for lamps 5o use this technique on and there are so many different ways to do it. Your way was very straightforward.

Love these vessels and candlesticks. I may try my hand at the candlesticks I have a pr I want to chage. Tfs 😃
Love, love how your vases turned out! I did make a special trip to Home Depot to buy some materials after watching many, many tutorials about recreating the textured pottery look. I'm hoping Dry Dex Spackle will work the same as their Joint Compound b/c that''s what I bought. As far as the candlesticks, it's all about "crafting" and experimenting, so it's all about a learning experience. Working with products that are water based means many things can simply be washed off if we don't like how they turned out--been there, done that! The trick is to remember to have fun and enjoy yourself. If we learn something new in the process, that's a bonus.
Thank you for taking the time to paint, film, edit and post the process. I appreciate the time you always put into your tutorials. BTW, I enjoyed watching your Tik Tok vids, as well, I'm now a follower!
I LOVED this technique Yvonne! ❤
Thank you
