This is from her December 23 Christmas concert in 2021 when she was 15. The musicians playing on stage with her probably have 30 or more Grammy nominations between them, and I don't know how many wins. The sax player is Jimmy Zavala, known as Jimmy Z, and played with Etta James, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, and more. All of them were brought together to accompany a 15 year old singer. Pretty amazing stuff. This is a pretty deep rabbit hole you are about to enter. Angelina has been releasing a steady stream of music to CZcams since she was seven. She has in excess of 230 covers as well as her own originals. There is not a bad one among them. She has always arranged her own music and makes every cover she does her own while still respecting the artist she is covering. It is like every cover she performs was written for her. It won't take you many songs to become an Angel as her fans are known. You will collect a sizable fan base yourself just by covering her. The Angels will fill you in on all of the details of her career. There is far too much for me to cover here. Now before you leave this concert there is an absolute must you need to react to, that is Lauren Dagles song, YOU SAY Her voice was beautiful on this song, but it is absolutely stunning on YOU SAY.

Angelina Jordan is the greatest jazz singer of all time. Started singing at the age of 1 and a half, World class at 8 and heaven class at 13.
That hasn't been proven yet. In a few more years, maybe. I'm rooting for Angelina’s success. She has the makings, for sure! She may be the best jazz vocalist now, but the best ever? Time will tell.

Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? AJ now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her. It's impossible to recommend a song by Angelina...I wouldn't know which song out of her 250 covers and originals, because every, really every song of hers is extraordinary. It doesn't matter what age she is...whether, for example, acapella as an 8 year old "I'm a fool to want you" or "what a different a day makes" as a 9 year old "I put a spell on you" in the style of Screaming Jay Hawkins, as a 10 year old live "Feeling good" as a 12 year old live "It's a man's world" or "Born to die" as a 13 year old live on AGT "Bohemian Rhapsody" or or or... the list that makes you listen with your mouth open is long and almost every time it sounds different. Ultimately, their EP released this year is a blast...6 songs and no gap filler. Each one is a hit in its own right in my opinion. As a reactor recently said: I reacted to her around 80 times and I thought I knew her. But no. She always manages to surprise me (in a positive way).

Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

But you could have listened to Angelina sing blues, jazz, power ballads, r&b, soul, or contemporary genres-and you would have said the same thing. Here you didn’t hear much from Angelina’s vocal toolkit-just an example of the beauty of her voice. You have so much more ahead of you. I’ve followed music all my life. Angelina is easily the best singer I’ve ever heard, and second place is not even close.

She is a child prodigy and a musical genius for sure. She went to Norway's, Got Talent at the age of eight and has performed all over the world for thousands and thousands of people and raised millions of dollars for children's charities. She is a very humble, sincere, compassionate and loving soul. She has a very protective family and her fan base is very protective too and they are known as "angels." She signed with republic records in 2020.. And is their most coveted young artist to date. They built her a recording studio to develop her musical skills as she is slowly being introduced into mainstream music. Angelina has been performing since the age of six and has over 225 covers and originals to her. huge catalog of music. Every song she takes on she tends to make it her own while staying true to the original, but giving it her own fresh and new life. Angelina is MORE jazzy than Frank Sinatra's version. He used violins and angel choir. AJ use piano and saxophone. She goes down when Frank goes up. Brilliant.
You wanted some recommendations for Angelina Jordan? All of them. About 200. Get busy. I saw her live in Portsmouth, and she was spectacular. She is one of the best vocalists of all time (I am a professional musician). Several of the musicians backing her up were in Frank Sinatra’s bands. They as a group have between 20 and 30 Grammy nominations, and they all wanted to back up Angelina. Watch her Christmas Video with all of the interviews.

One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did.

Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. Angelina is a Norwegian born child prodigy in music. She's a singer/ songwriter who's arranged over 180 covers and 12 originals, all since the age of 7. Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. At 7 years old, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. She was the last to audition. The judges had no idea who she was or what she could do. They saw a diminutive mussy haired, barefooted girl with her teeth still growing in. For her audition, she performed "Gloomy Sunday" from Billie Holiday. On TV-2, they've reported over 14 million views of this performance. This does not take into account the many hundreds of reactors showing this audition to millions more.
Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood.
That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, and even Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old.
Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final 5 when she dropped from the competition. AGT's designated "Super Fans" didn't carry her over into the final 5. The web blew up when she was dropped.
At 14, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control as well as control over the performances she would make. She turned 17 on January 10, 2023, graduated from high school, and has embarked on her professional music career. Her first EP under Republic Records is aptly titled, "Old Enough."

She has recently performed at the Nobel Prize 2023, and also performed at the FIFA AWARD, also performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones.
She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on CZcams with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar.

Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Maybe you could try her first time in a recording studio singing "I who have nothing" at 6 years old, and then do her very latest performance, which was live at the recent Nobel Peace prize, singing "Unchained Melody" at the ripe old age of 17. Or, of course, you could try anything in between, as she really is incredible at any age.
Contrary to what many fans believe, she was not 6, but rather late 7 or early 8 years old when she sang I Who Have Nothing in the studio. That can be determined by looking at the state of development of her permanent teeth and comparing that to known references like her NGT performances. I explain that in more detail in a community post at my channel.
But of course, that hardly makes her performance there less amazing!

@@JerryCernava It's not possible that these are both her baby teeth, as there is a gap between her right upper front tooth. I.e., the right upper #2 tooth is missing here. But in the older videos of like Hurt, Rolling In The Deep, and Skyfall, it can be clearly seen that the #1 is missing, and the #2 is still there. You can also see there that her baby teeth are smaller in size, and have a different shape. It also does not make sense, that her baby teeth would have such different length.

But the tooth are literally hard proof. They don't change looks back and forth, and only move in one direction: out.
Please note, that she cannot be 7.5 years old (which she was in summer 2013) in the IWHN studio recording, as snow can be seen on the outside at the end of the video. And as it does rather take only half a year than a full year to a permanent tooth to grow out, it's hardly possible that she was early 7 here were the left upper front tooth already appeared, but it was not fully out even at her NGT final in April 2014.

She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice! She can make her voice seem perfect for nearly any song!
If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40-piece military band. Koality, I greatly enjoyed your first reaction to Angelina Jordan. Please give yourself a Christmas present by reading the biography I compiled for my all time favorite musical artist. Her journey is a fairly tale come to true life and yet it has just begun. My bio just scratches the surface.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on CZcams. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
*Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old.
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
Musicians working with Angelina would call her the boss since she knew exactly how she wanted to sing the song and would confidently instruct the musicians. While one could say Angelina was mimicking other artists, there is no doubt she had her own style and created her own arrangements, even at this early age.
Angelina was near her 8th birthday for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition to trim the number of vocalists who passed their audition, and was not performed in front of an audience.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang.” In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. The money was placed in a trust and available when Angelina turns 18.
Record company executives flew their private jets to Norway to attempt to sign 8 year old Angelina but all were thankfully rebuked. Disney also made an offer but not accepted.
In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration.
Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore and Mexico among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14.
At age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. The album can be purchased on iTunes or Amazon.
On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year.
During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each.
In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon any control over her career.
Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on CZcams. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On CZcams, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The playlist now exceeds 200 songs.
The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her.
During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles.
In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one.
Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield”
In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song.
Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022.
In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles.
On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions.
On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go"
On July 21, 2023, her “Old Enough” EP was released with 5 new original songs: “Fire and Rain”, “Diamond”, “Now I’m the Fool”, “All My Fault” and “Good in Goodbyes”
The finance company SoFi is using Angelina’s original song “Our Time” in a commercial and the full song was uploaded on CZcams on October 27, 2023.
On November 25, 2023, Angelina attended Le Bal, the annual Debutante Ball in Paris, France.
On December 11, 2023, Angelina became the first musical artist to perform a second time at a Nobel Peace Prize event. She first performed at the Save the Children event at the 2014 Peace Prize ceremony, when she was 8 years old.
Narges Mohammadi was this years' recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Narges, is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two children spoke on her behalf at this event. Most of the performers were Iranian.
We know Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, grew up in Iran and was a prodigy for painting and poetry. We can imagine the conversations Mery had with Angelina about Narges. This performance had to be extremely meaningful to Angelina and her family. I hope all the angels will spread the story of Narges and her mission, with the hope for change.
Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. We know once her family believes the time is right and allows Republic Records to fully promote her, she will become the superstar she has always desired to be.

This recording is 2 years and 2 days old, and Angelina was 15 years old. She will turn 18 in 16 days from today, on January 10th. I have been following Angelina since her audition on Norway's Got Talent when she was 7 (she won the whole contest when she was 8) and IMO she is the best female singer in the world. Her diversity is just unparalleled, she has performed songs spanning at least 8 genres so far, and the common denominator is that she completely NAILS all of it. Wonderful reaction. Angelina is definitely something else! The sweetness, intimacy and passion that he manages to instill in her voice is absolutely incredible, with her the songs always have a different scent. This year they have chosen to finally make accessible to everyone, in the EP "Driving Home For Christmas", some of the songs sung in this wonderful 2-year-old Christmas concert which was then online for a fee. I loved these interpretations then and I love them even more now. Her unreleased interpretation of "Driving home" by Chris Rea is also beautiful, perfect in the musical accompaniment in counterpoint of Jimmy Z's wonderful sax and in the wonderful jazzy musical breath that is Angie's voice. I like the imagination, respect and elegance with which she reworked these songs in her personal jazz key and was accompanied by some of the best musicians around, I can hope for the future, but I certainly love this enchanting musical present by she. 💛🧡 ❤

Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became one of the youngest ever vocalists to win an international Got Talent Show! She was not widely promoted for a few years, as her family wanted to allow her a normal childhood. However, things are changing rapidly as she has now graduated school. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. There's so many of her songs to choose from, it will keep you busy for sure. But one her best at just 10 years old " I'm still holding out for you " She did this as a demo for the original singer" Baby Fuzz"( Brandon Lowrey) this rendition was heard first so a guess you can call it hers even though she didn't write it. His version is out there too, but she has 10s of thousands more veiws , you'll find both of them on u tube happy hunting. You've got quite a journey ahead.
