Great videos Dan love watching them, same here in Canada not enough tackle for coarse fishing can be bought here either. Tight Lines mate!!
Good result den and long has enjoyed it that's the main thing
I’m on holiday and am missing my fishing but this video helped me cope. Really enjoyed watching this and your commentary. Well done for not swearing and thanks so much for posting the video. Great result too. I’d be chuffed to bits with a 4th place in a National.
Thanks Andy.😁😁👍👍
Hi Den, How a change in a feeder shape can alter the results amazes me. Your homemade feeders worked a treat, a great result in the match to 👍
Love the cup of tree trick to get a bite. Works almost every time!
Its amazing how many times it works Brad.👍👍🤣🤣
Well done Den !👍👍👋🐟
Well done Den , former Mr . Hemphead here .
As always a fantastic watch , good fishing and stunning surroundings.
Keep them coming , your match coverage are my favourite fishing CZcams video's and that's high praise because I watch loads.
Many thanks mate. I have actually seen one or two of your comments on other channels.😁👍
Looks like fun, I didn’t know there was match fishing in Oz , thanks for sharing
Will watch this later can't wait looks good ❤
Watching it now lol 😂
Quite a long wait 😊
@@loursb yes I was going to do something but thought no watch Den
Well done Den. Hard luck for day 2, a great match with serious competition.🎣
Thanks mate. Day Two was very frustrating.
Well done Den, not bad at all.
Well done, pleased you got something out of it
Well done Den. On the second day I thought the conditions looked good, similar to the first session. The feeders proved them selves. Out of 40 the 4th position was well earned, great video, thanks Den.
Thanks Mike. There's always next year mate.😁😁👍👍
Excellent first day Den, your feeder proved it worth. Pity bout the second day but I guess there is always next time, great video as usually, thanks for sharing, love the content you do, Johnny a fan in Ireland!
Thanks Johnny.
Nice one Den I enjoyed watching
Thanks Bri.
Well done Den.Cracking vid, lovely day and plenty good fish.DidYourself Proud mate.🍺🍺🎥🎥🤩🤩
Thanks Clive.😁😁👍👍
What a day you had! looked like a great varied fish sizes you got and nice to see your home-made methods etc worked well for you. I have also caught on them!
Thanks Phill. I have been modifying the large Method Feeders a little, since I got back. They should be ready for others to use soon.
@@FishingwithDen look forward to making them soon.
That 8lb drag line must be good Den. No shock leader needed for those feeders 😊
Hi Peter. Its about the same diameter as Maxima, but a bit more supple mate.
Well done Den enjoyed the video, first day done well shame about the second day I think you still done well, overall coming 4th out of so many was a good result, as said there's always next year, good to see you're feeders in action and working well.
Thanks Bob.
Super nice video. In the Netherlands, fishing competitions kick off in May. I will probably fish for 2-3 competitions. Much luck.
Thanks Ralf. Good luck with your competitions mate.
@@FishingwithDen I just fish for fun. When the Dutch professionals fish with you, you don't stand a chance. You think they're fishing in different water when they sit next to you. Just like the English. But it's fun.
Nice work Den, odd how you were into the small fish the second day 🤔 were you using your 50/50 crumb and layer with tumaric groundbait mix ?
Thanks Peter. Yep, same groundbait as usual, but mixed a bit wetter to cope with the depth.
I didnt realise you were down under den.
What brand and colour of filament are you using for the feeders?
I have been looking for a suitable green PETG but have blanked up to press.
I just use a generic PETG from a company called Ink Station Andrew. I couldn't find a suitable green colour either. Having said that, the fish don't seem to care that its grey.😁😁
Hello, I've always wondered if feeder fishing is popular in different parts of the world as it is in Europe. I'm curious if there is a wide selection of goods available in fishing shops for this type of fishing. In Europe, feeder fishing is reaching a new level, with many new products appearing, and what's particularly interesting is that there are handmade fishing rods available that are of a much higher class than those that brands ordered from Chinese manufacturers
It is popular with Expats over here, but there are very few shops which sell Feeder fishing tackle.
👍
Well done Den…shame you couldn’t match your day one performance on day two! But not at all shabby when competing in a National Championship! Keep up the good work…there’s always next year!
Thanks Stephen. Yep, next year is my year mate.😁😁👍👍
There's a lot more water between the fish in that location than where you come from old mate.
Yep. Its absolutely massive mate. I'll be back there for this years event in a couple of weeks.
Hello Den .
Great video .
I am planning to immigrate very soon to Australia ( northern Queensland ) Mackay from South Africa.
I want to ask youre advice . is it a good idea to bring my seatbox and pole angling gear with me or sell it up here before we go . Is there any venues near Mackay
Hi Danie. I made the mistake of getting rid of my UK tackle before I came out here. I then had to replace everything, so if you want to do some fishing, it might be a good idea to bring it. The only problem for you is that Carp are quite rare up in Queensland, so I don't know how much use it would get. There are quite a few South Africans in this country and they have a Facebook Page call Bank Angler. Here is the link to the page: facebook.com/groups/550857588612957 if you join the group, you can ask as many questions as you like. The guy in charge is Frans Berger. I hope that helps. Cheers Den.
where are you fishing
Cage feeder got them going then den?
It did on the second day Richard. Day One was the Method though.
expat in brisbane you never said where you are.cheers.
Hi Roy. I don't mention the locations because over here there are so many people who believe you have to kill the Carp. However, in NSW and the ACT, it is legal to return them alive. It's just a complete can of worms I'm afraid.
@@FishingwithDen looks great down there, theres freash water lakes here havent fished them yet fishing the canals and beaches plenty of small brem as they are called fun but its been years since i cought a carp.brought up on the trent and witham.cheers
@@roymanewell4958 As I understand it Roy, there are very few Carp up your way I'm afraid.
How many guys fishing?
I think we ended up with 38
Long way to go for a match mate?
Where abouts in Australia were. Im an ex pat living in QLD.
Southern NSW mate. There's not much UK style fishing in QLD.
Hi Den and well done. A couple of questions, where was the venue, I'm in Qld so it's got to be too far away for me and you seem to play the fish very carefully, is that because of using barbless hooks?
Thanks Pete. its in the far south of NSW mate. As for me playing the fish carefully, I wasn't aware that I was. I thought I was putting a lot of pressure on to get them in. I wasn't worried about the barbless hooks coming out. I have full faith in them holding. Maybe the use of heavy duty rods, reels and line makes it look easy?😁😁👍👍
Get Mr Ringer and crew on there would be interesting.
Bob Nudd came over once. Apparently he struggled, but it would be nice to see what those guys could do.
Horrendously deep 😂, this should be the name of your new cage feeder line, as feeder type cages are used more and more in sea fishing in some places in Europe yours would be double usefull.
I actually think its bottomless Ovidiu.😁😁👍👍
What is with the clicking sound of the reel? Just mic picking up like that or slightly bent shaft under pressure ?
@@loursb I don't know Ovidiu. It only did it sometimes, so I will take it apart and have a look.
