Yes, 2017 was when I discovered you. I’ve listened to so many of your uploads and have travelled so many miles since then with you around Japan on the blazebus... I’ve probably listened to your stuff more than anyone aside from you. This mix brings me back to them OG days, a lot of these songs have made it into your older mixes for sure, I love the older mixes. I wish for more journey through jvpvn style aswell, them days were some vibes, highland shuttle, Hiroshima hills, summer fridays 3 was fkn sick also kinda similar to the sound I love. @@JokRKidd it's great and totally worth doing. Brush up on some basic Japanese and have Google translate ready. As long as you have cell signal doing anything is really easy. The country is very accessible. Go to the seedy bars and do stuff off the beaten path. If you do go to Tokyo go to Golden gai.

@@gabrielcruel I did a 2 week trip for about $2200. And $1000 of that was the plane ticket. You can keep costs down by traveling light and staying at cheap places.

Ryan, I hope you read this. I discovered you in 2017 (TIJ1, TIJ2). Those were my golden years in which I have recovered from depression and have been reborn. After a troubled youth I gratuated from high school, then started a new life in berlin as a student. Had to drop out because I had to deal with the depression. Took two years off working as a bartender and doing other jobs as a cashier etc. I processed all the bs from the past, learnt to appreciate and love life. Ultimately, I became a functioning human being. I had my first summer romance, went on trying out martial arts and met my now best friends and fianceé. Endulged myself in street art and hip hop, worked on my math skills. I re-enrolled in uni, and this year I will graduate in biotechnolgy. After figuring out what I want to become in the future, I now enrolled in my second bachelor program for chemistry, following my passion. I have listened to your music throughout this very meaningful years of mine. And now a TIJ2017? A TIJ I have been dreaming and hoping of a while ago since COVID? I'm tripping.
Your music not only is art but also has been unexpected therapy for me. I treasure your music up to this day and will forever do so.

I remember distinctly traveling from Berlin to Amsterdam by bus listening to Trapping in Japan 3, so happy finally fulfilling my dreams traveling most of that year thru Mexico, Cali, Europe, money game on point, so many good friends, so many festivals. And just listening to those mixes whenever I was alone thru my power beats, bumping bass and silently celebrating to myself that I made it. A personal euphoria practically bursting. In those moments, anything felt possible.

I graduated in 2016, so 2017 was my first real taste of adulthood. Even after the past couple years to look back on, that summer was a defining moment and a rollercoaster of ups and downs. I found Trappin 1 that summer too, and I can say with certainty that these playlists helped me through some of my lowest lows and joined me on some of my favorite experiences. Keep doing your thing!
