- UFC 300 is in a few months time and we are still yet to know the main event. This is an issue because alot of champions are already booked and some of the big names are unavailable. I have set out a few matches that I think could possibly be the main event of this card.

Man that'd be a bad fight for Holloway. Anything can happen in MMA but i just dont think Holloway can keep up with the power of Gaethje, who has shown huge improvements in the Fiziev and Poirer fights

Look at poirier vs max, then look at poirier vs gaethje. And gaethje has more power than dustin. I dont want max to be the next tony furgusson
Im almost 100% positive Pereira headlines 300. He has a belt, the hype, name speaks for itself, and the other big draws are out of the picture.

Adesanya v chimaev is the fight that satisfies everyone. Big names, lots of star power for casuals and die hard fans, and the matchup makes sense in terms of the rankings, you could make it a #1 contender fight easy

Jones should be stripped honestly. Yes people say hes the goat but he hasnt done anything spectacular in years. Other champions have also been stripped for injuries before so there's already a precedent set for it. The UFC just appeasing Jones to cash in on his PPV power. They know if they strip him he's taking his ball and going home. I also believe Jones wants none of Aspinalls smoke. He wants an easy fight against Stipe and to retire afterwards so he can say he beat the greatest heavyweight of all time. Jones should be stripped, Aspinall should be promoted and Stipe should fight him for the title. Jones gets whoever the winner is.
Jones clearly just wants to fight Stipe and retire, of course he doesn’t want to fight every single terrible fighter fans swoon over. Aspinall or sergei would be the easiest fight for Jones, since when he’s been fat he’s just a wrestler. UFC fans are so stupid when it comes to grapplers

Pereira vs Adesanya is the only title fight that comes to mind for 300, most other champs are booked or injured, maybe leon & belal as a co main

But I do have feelings that they'll put Khamzat in the main card maybe against Izzy or Alex vs Izzy (an even bigger fight) but khmazat will be there maybe against the winner of Sean and DDP or they reschedule the date for Islam because he is also a massive star and him vs Justin will be a banger

I got a theory, the ufc would want to do the winner of sean strickland vs du plessis vs Israel or khamzat, and if the champion can’t make the quick turn around, I could see them do Israel vs khamzat for an interim title as the main event, or they do Alex vs Israel 3 for the light heavyweight belt, or, we actually get Conor vs Michael early for ufc 300, and maybe Conor was trolling with that fight announcement, because the ufc never back his claim up

I think this is a good card for UFC 300 and would be even better with a headliner like Pereira vs Izzy 3.

There are talks about UFC 301 being on Brazil, so there's a big possibility that neither Pantoja or Poatan fight in UFC 300.

I’d say Hill can be marketed to be big enough to make a massive fight with Alex. Hill flatlines people where they don’t move for minutes afterwards, if they can promote him in a similar fashion they did to Alex with his power (not the Adesanya storyline, just his striking) and hype it up like crazy they can easily get him to sell. He’s decent on the mic and can talk his shit, too, so personality isn’t even a concern.
I think Gaethje vs Holloway for BMF could easily headline 300 and put Poaton and Izzy on the co main

This sounds crazy but Aspinal and Pereira would be nuts. Pereira wants it, Aspinal could be pressured to do it. Jamal isn't gonna be enough to make the fight interesting enough for fans.

The PPV number from the Chinese sector of the market (200K - 300K extra PPV buys) likely will make Dana convince those two women to do it; both already said they're willing to do it, with Zhang saying she's willing to go up to 125 and Grasso saying she's admired Zhang enough that she'd accept her up to 125.

Edwards and Belal wound make the most sense for the simple reason that you need a strong card behind them to sell it and UFC 300 is that. UFC 301 is meant to be Brazil so I'd say Pereira would most likely headline that

The UFC showed on 200 that if it comes down to it they will let the women headline. I think considering how lacking potential matchups for the card seem, we should prepare ourselves for one of the female titles on the line as the main with Edwards Belal as the co main

Pereira vs Adesanya 3 would be a great main event for UFC 300 and there are a couple reasons why it makes sense for Izzy to take it. For one, it would gain him back a lot of the respect that he’s lost from fans, especially from those who like Alex. It would show that he’s not afraid of his “bogeyman”, and now that he’s gotten his win it would be a great conclusion to their career long rivalry. The pressure of getting that first win would be off of Izzy’s shoulders and even if he loses, there would be an Asterix next to the loss because it’s up at 205. Second, he would be doing the fans a great service in helping save the UFC 300 card, a card that fans really care about. It’s a big ask of Izzy for sure but it would work wonders for his legacy in the eyes of fans.
I just think Alex is a weight class or 2 above Izzy. Izzy doesn't even make 205 he made like 196 for his LHW fight against jan. Pretty ballsy of him to take those fights. Also Alex has himself said that 185 is impossible for him to make going forward
