- Fly Fishing Spring Creeks around southwest Montana over the years has become one of my favorite things to do when the river temps are too warm to fish. This past summer I made some plans to go find cooler water. I was invited back to one of my favorite places on earth, to meet a couple of friends capturing the hopper hatch together in full swing. The smoke was thick from summer wildfires in the Rockies, and the conditions were tough to film in. But the fish were ready and eager to take a fly each time I set up my position with the camera, and the anglers were successful most every cast. Spring creeks are an angler’s (and camera operator’s) dream… if you have the patience. These two friends had a blast fishing the Spring Creek magic. It was certainly one of the highlights of my summer! When life offers you the chance to go outside, have some fun and enjoy the river with a friend, you better do it! I was lucky enough to capture it on film. Hope you enjoy this fun, fly fishing adventure!

That very first comment in the video, take your time! Perfect, I find myself spending 90% of my time just watching the water and what is going on. Sometimes only a few casts, sometimes for an hour, but just watching and enjoying is the thrill. Like watching this video, gracias for this!

It's like a real fishing movie, I think this is the only video that I've watched more than once, on purpose. This time it was on the 62inch screen so I could play it for my brother-in-law, who also loved it! It's mid February, I can't wait to start fishing.

Agree, but it's kind of painful watching all the slack line leading to the ultra-slow, straight, upright arm hook-setting.....pretty excrutiating...but spring creeks are beautiful.

WildFlyProductions , you've got to get to Montana if you like trout fishing. I am a poor working boy lives in Maryland. Went out there last year you don't need a lot of money. You don't have to fish private water the fish are everywhere. Just go you will love it.
