Had to watch with a lump in my throat!! You covered my childhood playgrounds!! I used to walk along the Bedon River all the way to San Antolín del Bedon church and Beach from my grandma’s farm. The river crystal clear and we would catch eels and trouts with a fork and our hands! Some facts: 1) all who emigrated to the Americas in the early 1900’s we’re called “indianos” because they were going to the “indies” . When they returned with $$$ they built gorgeous mansions which are called “casas de Indianos” the palm trees were then “cherry on top” to signify that they “had made it” ! 2) the bright colors of of the homes are new to Asturies, a trend that took off in the late 1980’s. Before that all homes were a boring white. People now favor bright Caribbean colors and the natural stone, hence they are taking the stucco off the external walls. 3) the town name of “Poo” is pronounced a short “Po’ “ as in “Port wine”. Coincidentally, that is the last name of my grandmother! Together with “Celorio” the walled beach/town you arrived afterwards from San Antolín (14:40), that houses an impressive monastery from the 1200’s right in the beach ! Next time make sure to visit Llanes on July 20-22 for the festivities of the Mary Magdalene (La Magdalena) for a beautiful Astur-Celtic folkloric festival with gorgeous folk dresses, dances, food and music! Buen camino !!! Go Badgers !!!

Cool video 😎👍 Just one thing, when you say that the village has "American colonial architecture", you must bear in mind that the colonial architecture was brought by the Spaniards to America back in the XVI, XVII, and XVIII centuries, so It's actually original from Spain. Here it's not called "colonial" (that only applies to the European architecture style that was implanted in America), but it's considered traditional Spanish architecture and those houses in dark red are actually typical from Castille and Extremadura and Andalucía, the regions where the Spanish settlers were originating during the time of the Spanish Empire.
Different is the so-called "Indianos", Spaniards who came back from America in the XIX century with wealth and money, and who built their luxurious villas in Galicia, Asturias, Basque Country, and Catalonia. But that's another story.

Sí y los barcos atracaban en las islas Canarias para ir hacia América por eso es tan parecido los acentos en América al acento canario.

Gracias a la verdadera religion Católica que lis daba a lis indígenas pleno derecho de ciudadanía con reglamentos tan modernos como la de la regulación del trabajo (jornada de 8 horas) y conservaban sus tierras y estaba prohibida la exclavitud esa era la corona Española y no la inglesa que se comía a los nativos y eso está documentado de los admirados capitanes que llegaron hasta Australia. El Imperio Español era invencible por tierra mar y aire pero es acabó con él por que la masonería Holandesa desde los reyes católicos hizo y todavía está en ellos de que de España no quede ni el nombre porque ellos fueron los que ayudaron a lis reyes a subir al Trono y luego éstos led dió a elegir convertirse o marcharse y juraron que volverían a dejar a España como un reino de Taifas antes que gobernarán los reyes católicos por eso a los musulmanes el estado español les paga la luz el agua el gas y el alquiler porque a pesar de que por España entran todos los inmigrantes pues no se quedan en España y para que se queden hacen eso. The separatists there in their tvs show a caricature of Spain, Spanish Black Legend propaganda, plus the worst images possible, mostly of the South, and always the worst, ignorant and corrupt of the South (not the great artists, beautilf white towns of the South)..
I am sorry for the "I told you so" but there is no slicing or dicing it, no "it is a matter of opinion" Unless Spain wishes to become the museum of the world, which to me it is not quite an enviable thing. Asturias although with so, so much potential, is void of life, extremely depressing, and needs to do some serious changes, this place is obviously doomed, condemned to an era of hundreds of years back in time. I want to come to Spain, but not this Spain. It is a shame, I really wish the best for Spain, but they love it and they are locked in the medieval era which although romantic has no role to play in our modern era other than ruins to visit, not to live there, and that is what happened, everyone who can, leaves! I mean, Spain has cities completely from the medieval era such as Sorias and speaking of which "SALAMANCA" in Castillo de Leon, I would live in either of those cities if you pay me all the money in the world. Of course, I lived in Rhode Island, so it is not fair for me to voice my opinion.

De hecho he mencionado que Inglaterra invadió a ESPAÑA en los videos de Cádiz y otros videos.. No son falsedades..Pero cuando estoy haciendo un video en ESPAÑA porque voy a hablar de la exterminación de indígenas en Norteamérica?

Jerónimo y sus apaches eran católicos, hablaban español, y vivían en sus tierras en paz. En las películas siempre los trataron como salvajes asesinos. Crecimos viendo sus películas y aplaudíamos porque eran siempre los asesinos. Nunca los ingleses o yanquis. Y todavía en los colegios anglos, se estudia la falsa Historia. Los asesinos siempre son los "conquistadores" españoles. Como si España no haya aportado nada positivo a la colonización de toda América. Y ya es intolerable tanta mentira calculada.

España nunca tuvo colonias😉👍🐇Era España de facto y todos eran españoles... los filipinos algunas islas de Oceanía, (por cierto quien descubrió Australia fuimos nosotros) incluso el Indio Jerónimo tanto sus padres como él eran católicos y hablaban español las películas del Oeste son mentiras. Desde el estrecho de Bering (mira en el mapa y verás pueblecitos con nombre español en el estrecho) hasta la tierra de fuego todo era España (menos Brasil) es más todos los estados de EEUU que veas que están trazados con una regla era España.
