Such a lovely video! Aii those rocks surrounding the gardens are wonderful! The laundry and other items thrown over the fence is so timely back then. The women working in the gardens was great, and in the period dress! Thank you!
Ok, so, I am not kidding when I say that your CZcams channel stays on repeat in my house, on my big screen tv, as well as my iPhone at night before bed. I am obsessed! 😂 If I believed in reincarnation, I would venture to say that I must have come from the 16th or 17th century. Your videos bring me a sense of calm and peace. Please, please, please make more!!!! 😩
Thank you so very much!! What an encouragement! I’m so happy that you are enjoying them so much. I absolutely love everything pilgrim and 17th century. I have been trying to get more volunteers to be on my channel but summer has had everyone so busy. I’m pleased to say that I should be adding a new video by the end of September. 😍👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you for your sweet comment!
Wonderful, I would love to do a reenactment there. I found you because you want to know what groups I'm a reenactor in. I also subscribed to you now. 😊💕
The gardens are wonderful in their historical accuracy but there is no way a family could survive even six months on the meager supply of vegetables they would give forth later in the season. On the average, a family would need four acres of land to house animals and gardens to survive the year and these are insufficient. Is the point to simply show the style of gardening or techniques? I must be missing something.

I am sure the museums are only showing a small example of what would typically be in the gardens during this time period.
These kitchen gardens are for medicinal use mostly with a few things to eat, but most of the food is grown in their fields (not depicted here).
