- Take a tour of Plimoth Patuxet Museums (formerly known as Plimoth Plantation) located in Plymouth, Massachusetts through our eyes during our visit there June 30th, 2019. This was a fascinating living museum where we learned a lot about how the Pilgrims of the Mayflower lived back in the 1600s where they first settled in New England. Plimouth is the actual spelling that the original pilgrims used instead of Plymouth Patuxet.
We also saw the daily lives of Wampanoag Native Americans, including their Wetu huts, cooking Nasaump porridge, and carving canoes. It was fascinating as well interacting and talking to the actors who played the pilgrims at the settlers village.
We definitely recommend checking it out if you are in New England. This was a very interesting, interactive outdoor museum that is fun, family friendly and educational.

Difficult to see the town. I didn’t visit it when I was there, headed to the Wampanoag Village. Am a descendant of many sachems and, on both sides, multiple Mayflower passengers. I wonder how many weeds my people would have found a use for. Wish the Village had been highlighted.
Hope I can visit the town with a sense of grace in my heart one day, though it will take work to get to that point.
This is so cool I’m from Massachusetts and have never been i definitely gotta check it out actually I think I went when I was a kid but I was too young to really appreciate it and I don’t remember it very well but it’s incredibly interesting

Wait did you go to William Bradfords house because I went there for a school field trip and I wanted to go to his house but we ran out of time
I don't recall exactly. I think we were like you running out of time so we had to rush the final few houses. Very interesting place to visit for sure!

Thank you! We took a bus tour which included Plimoth Plantation, but it looks like you can take a public bus or train from Boston there as well.
Wow I got ripped off 8.00 who knew there was an option for plantation only
They didn't tell you? I know the grist mill is in the town, but what's the "waterfront exhibit"?
