Idk why people are arguing which is better, I’m an android user but I feel happy that apple is getting these features because it’s a win for users. I like it when android gets stuff that apple has, and I’m happy for ios users who can now enjoy what android has for years. I’m still waiting for Ios to let people install 3rd party apps and if it happens, I might reconsider getting an iOS device.
thank you! I've been reading so much hates torwards ios and even the users from android users. It's just goofy to argue which one is better, it's everyones personal opinion.
Exactly and like we know it’s worked both ways over the years
Facts bra
iOS security won’t allow third party apps to get access of system storage. So iOS will only permit to sideload apps
@@rohannimbalkar8786 what security? Apple has been spying on it’s users as much as android does.
You've always been able to choose individual apps to offload on iOS. You just have to do it from the storage settings instead of just by long pressing the app like with deleting/hiding apps
It’s an android channel, ofc he’s gonna side with android.
@@B8tdtrue that
Or he just didn't knew it@@B8td
I was about to say the same thing
@@B8tdI mean, sure, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be wrong about how the features work on iPhone
Watching this video as a lifelong Samsung user is eye opening. The One Ui is so much better than stock Android
Absolutely, is the richest software in the Android side
OneUI is soooo bloated, slow, and the design feels that it's stuck in 2018.
Stock Android is so much better about the overral experience compared to OneUI, OxygenOS, MIUI/HyperOS...
One UI is the inspiration for Google to make android better. There you go.
As a z fold 5 user for work and pixel 8 pro for personal...the concepts of one UI are great, the execution is not as good as pixel. If Samsung had the pixels smoothness and performance, it would easily be the standard
@@Nicalay2 You probably never used One Ui. One Ui is since One Ui 5 very Good. Its Excellent tbh. Stock Android is so Behind when it comes to Customization/Features that are actually Usefull. All the "New" Android 15 Features, are existing in One Ui since Years buddy.
16:21 Actually, You forget that this is also available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
10:10 you can actually manually offload an app on iOS by going to storage settings and select an app you want to offload
Nice video, you should make a playlist for this.
I have been following you for quite a few years and your views are pretty decent and mainly not one sided. Appreciate that and happy following 😊
Not very one sided, still can clearly tell he puts more research into Android as he failed to mention eye tracking, mirroring your iPhone to your Mac, gradient text on the lock screen, the new widgets and the AssistiveTouch refresh from iOS. Overall still did a good job covering both software pretty equally.
He completely missed the part where you can manually offload apps on iOS too, I have no idea how he missed that
Happy Tuesday
Thank you really for these nice comparison
10:11 Yes you can. Just go to settings > general > iPhone storage, then find the app, and press offload app
do not use better help. they’ve been proved to sell their vulnerable users data and they hire unlicensed therapists. Thank you.
This is what we love! Neck & neck competition between two giant companies.
Good explanatory video! 🙂
Another excellent video, Facundo. You just keep getting better and better.
He did get 10:12 wrong though
@@J-fu4bv Nobody's perfect. 😉
@@Droogs I know I just wanted people to be aware of it lol he’s one of the best CZcamsrs for sure
Amazing video!
6:12 This feature is also available on iPhone. You can ask Siri anything on your iPhone, including about your photos.
9:29 but the back gesture on Android has always been infinitely better, since you can backtrace inside the apps in any moment, going back x steps, since it's a system feature
Nah
this is the one thing apple perfected long before android tho
@@itaintcal how did apple "perfect" it if literally everyone else does it better lol
@@elderman64keep yapping
But what Android can’t do is swiping forward. On Android swiping from left or right both goes back while on iOS left goes back and right goes forward.
10:08 that’s wrong you could always do it yourself in iOS. Settings → General → iPhone/iPad Storage → Select the app you want → Offload.
To many clicks
@@RealShaktimaanjust say you are lazy lol.
@lukchem agreed! This guy is simply a AndroidOS fan desperately trying to mock Apple.
The ios control centre are too georgeous, aesthetic, modern, beautifull, so good i wish i had that on android 😍
Yes just like xiaomi hyperos 🤡
@@chiragparmar2456 i know hyperos following ios
Just wait for sometime u will get something greater 🗿 bcz I can use the ios control centre the exact copy of it in my device bcz it's look aesthetic but had to go back to default bcz the usability of that control centre was trash than the default android one
10:10 just want to clarify, you can archive apps manually in iOS. You have to navigate to Settings > General > Storage > click the app you want, and there will be an option to offload the app from there.
He forgot to mention on iOS 18 you can dim and brighten the wallpaper. Darkmode icons on Android still have light pastel colors while on iOS 18 you can control the colors.
Lolll they copyed this on xiaomi: dim and Brighten wallpaper
Eww the icons look like sheet
And don't forget the fake always on display they tried to copy from android 😅
@@biensur19 Entire HyperOS / MIUI is a copy of iOS.
@@ScrumptiousSandwich47 now entire ios 18 is a copy Paste of android, specially Hyperos and Oneui
Great video but id like to point out that deleting apps on ios without deleting the app data has always been possible. You just have to go into the storage and select the app then choose offload app
I think Predictive Back Gesture is available since Android 13. Never got out of Developer Options.
your channel name is so hilarious no matter how many times I encounter it
Wait for One UI 7
Oneui gonna bring android 18 features😂
@@gauravackerman311that's sadly so frickin true, Google's devs are sleeping at the office during work and just copy Samsung it seems
It's wipe the floor all os systems ❤❤
@@gauravackerman311 lol Android 19 features you mean. Pixel developers are like vultures, just waiting for One UI to drop features to copy. It was supposed be the other way around!
even Touchwiz had better features
Bro i was waiting for you
These types of videos drive me up the wall.
Just mentioning some of the features
Gboard does allows generated stickers. Apple just made photos as stickers which is also possible with gemini.
Gemini also allows different tweaks to generated images like apple did.
Google also has a project which will allow UI based AI solution on different apps. For example schedule meetings in an app by the AI because LLM can understand the UI elements like apple did to make the AI do many tasks in different apps.
Google is also working with project Astra which will take it further than on-screen AI, they just want to release those exclusive for AR headset that maybe samsung is working on. Basically they are just waiting purposefully.
I guess I'll get these features on my Pixel 7 by 2026 lol. Or maybe Google will keep them exclusive to the Pixel 8. It seems like you only get 1 year of all the cool features, then you're just an afterthought with Google. I just got the June feature drop update and didn't even get the Google Home widget. I guess that's exclusive to Pixel 8's also smdh.
@@jimmie_g AI features are now for mostly for new generation I mean pixel 8.
But google home widget is available for me with a budget phone
@@jimmie_g You're in the same position as base iPhone 15 users lol. They got the short end of the stick too.
The veil is thinning between the worlds of android and iOS
I prefer the quick settings on Android because it's in the same menu as notifications. The control center has a vertical menu page and often gets mistaken when trying to swipe up to close it
I am absolutely not worried about Android notification centre. Oppo, Xiaomi and Oneplus will yoink every single thing from the iOS
I love these videos they are so important to actually see the truth behind each ecosystem
As an android through and through, I do love the look of iOS 18, and Siri 2.0 will be insane. Finally starting to be tempted to go to the dark side 🍎📱
Meanwhile I am kinda tempted to try out Windows because of the new Snapdragon Tablets and Laptops that can finally compete with iPads and MacBooks.
@@lukchem I'm glad Windows laptops have caught up to the MacBook in that regard because Windows has a far richer and more diverse software library and support. For certain professionals like in finance, Windows is really the only way to go.
Same, it feels like they've caught up to Android so much now that there's not really much reason to stay, but I can think of a lot of reasons to switch back to iPhone
IOs needs that back button with just 1 swipe from the right to left gesture too 😅
Forgot to include the added amounts of spyware included under the hood in both
this video shows some of things why i prefer to use something like one ui over stock android
Need open source apps video 👍👍
You can manually offload apps on iOS. We just have to open the individual app in the storage setting under general.
Good summary, thanks! And remember, library has an "r".
Can’t wait for iOS 18🔥
2:39 you can actually tap on the tile to add it on the quick settings no need to drag it to the top
You can't on Pixels
@GustavoAS09 cause Piss All sucks...gotta download 3rd party for almost everything
Not on any Android that is close to stock AOSP like the Google Pixels, Nothing Phones, etc. You still need to drag. But you are correct about some Androids giving you the option to tap on a tile to add like Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, etc. I explained this at 2:56
That's weird I tried to tap the tile on pixel experience its just custom rom and it worked.
@@manmazein1328 yes that's why I said that I'm also using custom rom based on pixel os
Lol I didn't even know you could do that back preview thing on iPhone
For a while now, almost every new feature in Android is already present in Samsung's OneUI. As a Samsung S23 owner, new Android versions do not equal to new features.
I totally agree with this notion. By the way, is there an alternative to Android Beam?I wonder why Google took it away.
The cleanness of iOS 18 is just on another level, this worth more than any features
no
Unbelievable that Google still can't match iOS animations. They even ignore it in their own apps ex: messages.
As a die-hard Samsung Galaxy user with an iPhone 14 as work phone. I compare the exact same apps for both systems and often find the iOS apps are more detailed with pretty animations and feature-rich. Android apps seem little plain with no extra razzle dazzle. Apps wise iOS is still ahead of Android. I think it's only because of developer bias towards iOS which is easier to develop for.
@@koolyokam007 try those again on iOS 18, it’s even more enjoyable, the animations are butter
Apps already have a custom vibration pattern for the notifications on the Android. But I guess this feature just enables you more control over them.
no this feature allows devs to set custom vibrations for their apps, its a new thing
@@SereneSounds4K In what kind of meaning? All of my social apps have a completely different sounding vibration pattern.
@@thisfeatureisbad the people who create the apps can create their own vibration patterns for the apps they create
7:36 for smart reply, Gmail has "help me write" function over a year.
17:50 this is incorrect. The iPad also allows you to use a Floating Windows Manager mode called “stage manager”, which allows you to multitask similar to the way you can on a Mac.
beta 2 enabled rcs for carriers in usa
NO!! iOS is not the one who decides which app gets archived (offloaded). It’s completely upto the user’s hand. 🤷♂️
Settings>General>iPhone Storage>(Choose an app)>Offload App
You can offload apps manually on iOS when you go to storage then select the app and then offload
On Android notifications are not as sophisticated? Lol who is this guy? 😂😭
10:21. You actually can manually offload apps on iOS. Just go to settings > general > iPhone storage and tap the app you want top offload and you’ll see the button!
You know you can archive apps manually on apple! I keep doing that Daly
I'm mesmerized by the animated Windows wallpaper, does anyone know where I can get it?
Some of those Apple features are limited to your location unlike Googles features which have a global reach and not limited to certain conditions.
Yep, no Apple Intelligence in the EU apparently.
Not allowed in China unfortunately, only apple. Which is a big miss since China is a big market. Google should just comply with government regulations in China.
@@480darkshadow I think China generally doesn't allow the use of Google services. Except I am wrong though
the back gesture on android is infinitely better
I got the satellite communication feature a few days ago
Stage Manager is on iPhone and it works perfectly but you need a Jailbreak tweak to enable it.(It's restricted in the code) It even works with apple lighting to hdmi dongle on old iPhones.
That’s actually cool. I love Stage Manager on my 2018 iPad Pro, is there a way to enable full external display support like on the M1 and newer models? Do you have some kind of tutorial? I would love to try it myself.
I have an old iPhone 8 at iOS 16, my iPad is at 17 and my iPhone 13 at 18 Beta.
now all those moms gonna get their iPhones with 24 Home pages for every single app.
Can u make UI review and comparison?
Still no universal back gestures, still no video pause in iphone
10:25 You could offload apps on iOS for as long (if not longer) than you could automatically do it.
iOS 18 needs a clipboard in their keyboard just like GBoard. Also a number row on Apple Keyboard needs to be there.
I don’t know why people aren’t really talking about these 2 things.Clipboard and better keyboard.Apple keyboard is so trash,i just can’t get use to it
I mentioned on iOS you could get all of this with either the Gboard app or the easier-to-use SwiftKey, but of course, Apple users are Apple users and they laughed it off, of course.
Completely agree with the control center part. Come on Google, I don't need to read names of those icons.
Actually, in android, when you going to edit quick setting, you can just click the icon and it will jumped to the top (rather than drag it from the bottom to the top)
In the EU you can choose the default app for many apps in iphone
In the US you can for email and web browser at the top of my head, I think there’re one or two more but I can’t think of them atm
I'm an Android user (Google Pixel) and I'm not sure if this is a fair comparison with iOS, because some features that are available Samsung's version of Android (a lot of features, actually) aren't available in Google's version of Android.
Nice
Satellite messaging on Android is on the same decade long trajectory as RCS. They announced satellite comms as a coming soon feature almost 2 years ago and still nothing. Meanwhile, Apple has made their satellite offering better and better.
Do you remember the video where you showcased an app that could play multiple apps' audio simultaneously? I Really need it.
I believe you're talking about "Splitcloud Double Music" featured in my "Top 20 Best Android Apps of 2020!" video: czcams.com/video/KBjCXTnaU7A/video.htmlsi=HSoo3EP7HWFHQksy&t=271
@@howtomen respect Man!
I good the video bro 👍
One big thing to note as a stock Android there is no app lock or app hide people who say Android has app lock and app hide is not a point to be noted that should be noted if all Android skins (UI’s) have app lock or hide where I think Google might won't give 😏😏
The offload app feature was already on Samsung phones.
The name was 'Zipped Apps'.
I actually prefer Android control center. It's less cluttered
How do I get the wallpapers you are using
10:12 is incorrect, in settings you can manually offload apps, though I do wish this was accessible within the apps icon itself.
People laugh at apple but android has gotten very little features for android 14 & 15
We laugh cause you sheep said centuries ago it wasn't needed...Now that you finally stole it years later it suddenly is a great feature
Only Samsung fan girls laugh at Apple…. The iPhone is the top selling phone in the world… in fact it holds the top three spots with ol Samsung bringing up number four.
@@robhughes8516 One UI runs circles around iOS and you know it. Your little stats only proves that iSheeple are brainwashed by Apple.

You’ve been able to manually offload on iOS since iOS 10.
I know this is not related but the gesture navigation bar on IOS looks way cleaner. On the pixel it lacks animation...

@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN What does that have to do with the video being a good watch or not? 🤦🏿♂️
I think u should now about “eye tracking”
You can offload whatever apps you want
How you made notification panel background white instead of black (system default) ?
Apple doesn't have a mobile/desktop experience... but with ios18 they introduced a desktop/mobile feature where you can actually control your iphone from a mac. Not just screen mirroring (which everybody has already), but full control. There are a few videos of it on CZcams. There are 3rd party apps that let you do this on both Apple and Android, but you have to jump through alot of hoops to make it work. This new version works natively with just a click. Seems pretty cool.
No, actually screen mirroring for most Androids don't need an app. Just a USB C to HDMI cord. And even then, screen mirroring is nothing like Samsung DeX where the phone turns into a desktop.
the private space that google is using, isn't that just secure folder. I've always wondered, is it a sandbox instance? a VM? a container?
anyone can shed some light for me?
where can i found the google wallpaper?
I don't need to see the video to know that Android wins

Let's be honest the Pixel UI sucks esthetically. One UI looks better and has more features.
I'm using a Pixel and kinda tired of it.
@@sina6993 well personally I think one ui is too cluttered with bloatware "esthetically"

Bro your window's wallpaper engine's wallpaper's name please!!!
A lot of these used to be jailbreak tweaks.
I recently read that Apple isn’t introducing a number of new features to Europe due to legal constraints which is something to bear in mind before upgrading a phone.
you missed the new passkey app on ios18
One plus you could always see battery health I thought
Apple: "Here's the newest feature we added to IOS"

Where's the custom emoji and control centre customisation bro? Their OS uses a heavy blur effect and yet their OS has better animations and smoothness, I do like the on device Ai of Apple, it really crushed Google in their own game.
