In this episode of The Ranveer Show, we have a very special guest; Anand Ranganathan who is a scientist and the author of some amazing books like The Land of the Wilted Rose 2012, For Love and Honour 2015, and The Rat Eater 2019 (co-authored). His forthcoming book is on India's forgotten scientists 2023 (co-authored). Yes, you guessed it right.
Anand sir is known for his outspoken and fearless nature. He is someone who does not fear away from expressing his opinions which is why he is someone that I have looked upon for inspiration. In this episode, he gave his opinion on many talks like Modern-Day India, Science, Leapfrogging, Social Darwinian, JNU, the Cabinet Ministers, and much more.

It is comparable in that these individuals should either support or provide constructive solutions. Otherwise, they have no right to engage in such baseless discussions
Despite facing intense competition from political opponents within India and abroad, Modi ji has continued to handle the challenges and perform his duties exceptionally well, even amidst the ongoing pandemic. It is crucial for us to respect and support him. On the other hand, these individuals who sit in round tables or panels and spew nonsense about Hinduism or criticize Modi as anti-national and corrupt, in the Beer Biceps podcast, are truly disappointing. The impact of their irresponsible comments on the impressionable minds of young viewers who watch such content is concerning. What kind of responsibility do they have to speak about Modiji in such a manner? Constructive criticism is acceptable if it includes suggestions and solutions. There is little doubt that BJP has performed way better than Congress!! In fact, Congress had rendered the nation insolvent with corrupt license raj! In it's 50+ years rule, they brought the nation to a catastrophe in 1990's!! They repeated the same corruption & also made half of Indian banks bankrupt with irrecoverable loans to corrupt corporate's!!

I am not a fan of the grey. I prefer black and white. It is not that I absolutely hate the grey, but I know that this grey, and venturing into it, and believing in it, has given mankind only and only misery.
It is because of the grey that there are people who still believe in religious books, or in Mao and Pol Pot and Hitler and Tipu and Godse and Churchill and Rhodes and Aurangzeb and Sir Syed and Allama Iqbal and Leopold, and hundreds of other men and women who have done terrible, terrible things, committed awful crimes, but the believers of grey have forgiven them because these men and women have also done some good. Grey has birthed cruel empires and believers of the grey have feted them.
For me, a benevolent dictator is still a dictator; a kind criminal is still a criminal; a religious book that preaches hate in addition to kindness is still a hateful religious book. A believer in grey is a purveyor of Hypocrisy. And that is why he doesn’t even see it as hypocrisy. It comes naturally to him, because it stems from the core belief in the grey - that your truthful or brighter half will be remembered and your lying and darker half will be forgotten. In one sense, you are static if you believe in the grey, because your intent always is to show your brighter side. And so you stop revolving. You don’t beget seasons. You are always, and proudly so, the same. Like Mercury. And that is why I'd much rather believe in the black and white than the grey.

I generally don't last long in podcasts more than half an hour but Anand sir made me do it and it totally shows his capability and knowledge. Hats off for him truly appreciating waiting for the next.✨❤️
What is compelling about this guy is the constant drizzle of energy that it invokes the necessity to absorb yourself with all the knowledge possible specially the current affairs that most of us don't pay heed to.
A person with a good memory can churn out facts and figures. It takes a far superior mind to understand abstract concepts, categorise them, see patterns, think about where we are headed and then put it in clear yet beautiful language. Dr Ranganathan is one such person. Always interesting to listen to.

I follow your podcast but this is the first time when I'm writing or posting comments about the particular episode. I must say that this is one of the best episode till this date. I love it and I'm watching it repeatedly from different accounts.
Thankyou for bringing such guests on your show and do call him again. Would love to hear him more. Curious to know his stakes on other things like technology, generative AI, and many such things.
Personally speaking the conversation kept me sticked to the screen throughout the session. The ideology, flow of the conversation, neutral stance of the Anand Ranganathan Sir and backstory of the politics were acting as a trigger to analyse stories more rationally.
