- This video entails a tour of the senior living quarters w/ a few additions of my own. Senior Living Quarters (SLQ) is permitted for Enlisted personnel of E-7 and above and all officers. There is a small discussion on a few things you may need in Korea as it pertains to your living conditions. At the very end there is a small clip of me setting things up in the apartment.
Great video. I am heading over to the BDE which I assume you were with at the time. This was very great at providing some things that I am going to need.
Thank you for watching and for the comment. It means a lot!
Is it true that they are moving senior leader off post due to no more room
That I cannot confirm or deny, I’m sorry. But all in all they are forcing everyone to stay on post unless accompanied.
If you don't mind me asking, which bldg # are you in? (looking at the newer appliances is all - newer building perhaps) thank you!
Hi! So sorry for the late response. I live in building 12203.
How long after arrival did you get your SLQ? Where did you stay in the mean time.
Hi! I arrived during the Quarantine period. I stayed in those barracks for 11 days. Shortly after that I was moved to the in-processing barracks. The day I got there I made an appointment with housing and got my SLQ appointment and moved in pretty much.
Did they have a tv there already or did you purchase it.
I purchased one myself. They provide all furniture besides electronics.
Question, I know this is kind of a crazy question, is the furniture very old and outdated? I see the appliances look really good
No, this is a valid question. In a way the furniture is old. For some odd reason all of the rooms have old school styles of furniture. It appears worn, but it's just the pattern. The brown reclining chair is actually very comfy.
@@thatgirll_tati Thank you so much for the info, this video great. I was thinking of getting granite contact paper for the counters, and some stick&peel picture frame moulding. Those things work wonders and adds a lot of ambience and super easy to take off without leaving any marks
Thank you & you’re welcome!! Nice! I actually never thought of that. I’m trying to create a finer decor around here, so I’m going to look into that as well.
I’m a Navy O who’s thinking of taking orders there - do a lot of people live off post at all? Or are you required to live in on-base housing? I feel like I have too many household good to fit in one of these rooms 😅
Usually you’d live on post. If the capacity is at 95% you can live off. I believe you can also get a waiver in order to live off post if the 95% capacity isn’t in effect.
This room for e7 and above only?
Yes!
@@thatgirll_tati what kind of room would e6 stay in?
@@mr.animated6288 you would stay in the same barracks as the other soldiers.
