If they had NCO barracks like this on all military posts, it wouldn’t be so bad to live on-post. The barracks for Junior Soldiers in Korea are decent too, individual bedrooms with the kitchen common area and the buildings are like 6 stories so that would be ideal on a lot of military posts.

I wanted to be off post so bad prior to actually moving to Korea and seeing the SLQs.

Enjoy your time! I got to Korea in 2019 before Covid and just recently left. However, I know they are requiring everyone to quarantine for 14 days as soon as you get on ground then you'll begin the in-processing portion after. Best wishes.

Would you recommend bringing your own furniture?? I have a queen size bed I’d like to bring.
Also do you think there is enough room for a squat rack?
If you're in the Senior Living Quarters there is enough room to bring your own furniture. Whatever you don't need housing will pick up so that you may have more space for your own belongings.
Damn I was told I should be in one of those I’m in the barracks tho 😩😂

TY for the video. Did you lose all your BAH? Are there any restrictions for visitors...short and long term?
Because I'm married and I was in korea without my family I still recieved BAH for my family back home along with family separation pay, COLA and hazardous duty pay. If you're single you won't get BAH or family sep pay but you're entitled to everything else. My husband came to visit with no problems as well as my friend from another base. There is no one checking for your visitors in the SLQs. Hope this helps. 🙂

What ranks live in the SLQ?
E7 and above
Ma’am, this video came at the perfect time and it was so helpful! I have a few questions:
1. How quickly were you put in SLQ? I am assuming you had to quarantine first, but I heard something about there being capacity limitations that can push you off post.
2. Are all the apartment spaces the same size or does it vary?
3. Where did you get your nails done? They look very natural. I await your response, awesome video!

This video was recorded when I first got here in 2019.
Currently:
1. Yes you have to quarantine for 14days upon arrival until further notice then you will begin in-processing. During in-processing you can go to housing to get your housing brief. If they are at capacity on post you will be able to move off post.
2. SLQs for Officers and NCOs E7 & above are the same size with the same amenities.
3. I get my nails done at Osan Airbase PX. But there are plenty of nail salons around here. 💅🏽 Thank you ☺

Good morning... Can you tell me how long it took to get your initial air lifted goods? Or did it come with you on the plane?
@@quickfuze666 It usually takes around a month but it depends on when you ship it. No, it does not come on the plane with you. They pack it into 4x4x4 cubes and load them on cargo planes.
Did you want to live on post? Or did you have to?
I had to because on post housing had not reached 70% capacity
