Thanks for sharing the BTS video of your nature walk, I've been a follower of your channel for some time and I enjoy this type of content!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️🙌🏻 I’m planning on doing more in the following months so stay tuned for them
Very beautiful scenery my friend. Walking is very good. Great video, thanks a lot for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed!! ☺️
Really nice video Jeremy, and that lens is a beast, even though I don't know that system so much, unfortunately for me I have to say. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Ciao!
It's a crazy lens for sure! Glad you enjoyed :)
Maybe try back button focus or set tracking sensitivity. Or use the focus limiter? I don't have an OM-1, but i would think in the menu there would be a setting about using last settings or not. Maybe a smaller focus grid.
I’ve tried all three of those things, focus limiting and tracking sensitivity didn’t really seem to make a big difference to me. Backbutton helped it be more reliable for me but I just hate not being able to adjust shutter speed with my thumb on the fly haha
@@JeremyNeipp you can reassign the front dial unless you use that for something else. I have some more troubleshooting suggestions, but might be easier in dm. Maybe on Instagram? I'll be tied up for the next couple hours though.
Amazing video Jeremy! I'm glad you have used the G9 as your camera before, I'll probably go back and watch some of your old videos on that camera to learn how to get sharper pics with it.
Thank you! Glad you found value in it ☺️🙌🏻
Great video. What beautiful location too!
Thank you!! It’s a awesome spot ☺️
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always Jeremy, you reminded me of the Cod game 😂 I am happy to report that we have so many warblers and birds of prey migrating north here in long Island NY, keep up with the awesome content 🐦👍🤗
Your welcome! Yea it feels that way watching it back lol 😂
Are you using a GoPro for the video footage?
Yes!
I wear the same gloves 😎 beautiful views and images.
That’s awesome! I love those gloves. Thanks! 🙌🏻
Wow amazing brother...
Love from Kashmir ( India)
Thank you!
So i have been watching your channel for a wail and since you are a pro what is the best lens for landscape?
Some recommendations I would make for watching from Rob Trek Best Settings for Birds in Flight for the Olympus OM-1 and also Olympus OM-1 AF-ON Subject or Face Detect Priority Release Tutorial. The OM-1 has a learning curve. I own this combination for about 8 months. My main problems is dense woods. Beside that I've had great results with the OM-1 and 150-400mm.
Очень красиво☺
Hi Jeremy, great video. I find it interesting that you as someone who undoubtedly is a better wildlife photographer than myself is also having problems getting the om1 autofocus to behave. I often end up turning object detection af off and go back to placing a small square on the bird with better results. Its got to the point that im considering a costly system change for a s5ii. How does the af on the s5ii compare? Thanks again.
Hey Craig! Thanks for the compliment! ☺️
In regards to your question, I’ve now been using the OM-1 for a month and am forming my review together now, so I’ll put together my thoughts there much more in detail and I’d recommend checking that out in a few weeks when that releases. But in short, I’d say that the S5II does a better job of actually landing focus in photos, but does seem to struggle a little more in subject detection. Versus the OM-1 seems to detect subject phenomenally, but then struggles to actually adjust the focus correctly and will often focus off the subject even when it’s aware of what the subject is like you saw in the video. In regards to video, the S5II autofocus destroys the OM-1 autofocus however.
Awesome man! What’re you using to capture audio?
Hollyland Lark M1! I'll link it below
amzn.to/45mog4o
just use the red record button on the left, it is strange why they make it for this OM1 the high res mode, but you can make it back to be the record button and it will use the same setting your still mode use.
thanks so the video, enjoy the OM 1 its really super, maybe you should make the 1.4 update for the autofocus issues.
Good to know! I’ll have to try it out now and test it. Will it still shoot full specs with doing it how you said?
usually i take videos when shooting in M mood. but sometimes when its on C1 which is for BIF or C2 which is for pro capture setting and i take videos it come with the setting of these custom modes , i can tell because in both these modes i compensate +0.7 or more so the videos come quite bright compared to what i get on M were usually its on ev -0.3.
never ever i used the video record in the dial on any Olympus body unless i want to take slow mo.
I think that’s part of my problem as I always shoot slow motion in case I want to slow it down in the future and I couldn’t figure out how to do that how I wanted?
i think Rob Trek can help you in this.
wonder when OM-system will send me mine? ordered one a year ago!?
That sounds like a problem! Have you contacted them?
@@JeremyNeipp Hi, yes I have, and i quess my situation isn't unique. They said the minimum que time is currently 8 months. they said it would probably arrive soon. it's just so tiresome to wait and hope for a delivery call every day XD
Nice. Is that pine flat?
It is! You from the area?
@@JeremyNeipp yes I live in North Fork.
What does it mean 1,25x when u show ur lens?
It’s in reference to the 1.25 teleconverter built into it 👌
@@JeremyNeipp so the zoom is multiplied by 1,25?
Yes! When the teleconverter is activated
