I loved it when Ferry said the session usually starts with coffee and Dutch pastries. I love coffee, ha ha. And I've never had a Dutch pastry before, would love to try one in the future.
This song is amaaazing. I love the melody. So intense. So emotional. This is why I love trance. Such an unique feeling. Great job armin and ferry!

@25RoadRunner I agree with you. Trance music is one of my favorite genres, and Ferry is one of the reasons why I'm making my own tunes, as well as having the dream to be a DJ. I actually met him at his show he did back in September at the hard rock Hotel intervention pool party. He was very friendly and kind, and I appreciated what a difference he made in my life.

Armin is in the passanger chair cause it's Ferry's studio. If it was in Armin's studio it would be the other way around. Armin doesn't know where all his files are etc.

@TheIsraelite7777 armin premiered 1 of his albums in seattle , he was also @ the washington DC armory and the list goes on and on he has been playing in the US for years (this month in Miami and in L.A also for ASOT 550)

@farohar when you consider that armin tours 200+ days a year, runs 2 labels, organizes events like asot 500, is a husband and father, makes a radio show, and makes a podcast...there's no way in my mind he puts in serious studio time. i'd guess he writes melodies and has benno fill in the rest.
yeah man its pretty difficult to get a grip on.
I myself choose Logic, its perfect even for beginners, (not saying that you are)
but you might like it :)

As for the drumkit, it seems to be Superior Drummer. But as I replied to a poster, creativity is key, the tool doesn't matter too much nowadays, most DAWs (FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live) are really mature and enable you to create sort of similar stuff. Innovation brought by a tool is usually spread in time to the other tools.
ferry played this at his live show in minneapolis in june. surprisingly didn't do anything for the crowd. arty & mat zo-rebound was 1000x more massive. goes to show you who the future is.
