Friday night I was feeling depressed and did my usual walk to the park. I walked home later than usual after dusk. I heard this loud and excited "meow" behind me. This black cat who had a collar on that said "Squid" on one side and "I'm an Outdoor Cat I know my way home" literally galloped after me. I was a little nervous at first. but then he proceeded to ask for pets. And then he followed me home. I was shocked. I sat on my porch for a bit just hanging out with him. My neighbors who lived in my building came by and loved on him too. My landlady eventually called his human to come get him I felt really loved by Squid in that moment.
I love how deeply you understand their body language and habits. There's more to it than just being a cat person, or having a way with cats. I can tell you made your best effort to really get to know these beautiful animals and you respect them so much!
