Thanks for sharing. This was really cool. I've lived in Ocala my whole life and love to see videos and pics of what it looked before I was born. Very nostalgic person.

This was a filmed a couple years before I went there but it's just as I remember it. I was raised in Ocala and still live in Silver Springs. It's not what it use to be which is a shame but it's still a nice place to visit. Thanks for sharing your video.

Michael Tilly Its nothing like it used to be and it saddens my heart... I was at least glad to see they are still running the glass bottom boats, but everything else is closed and gone... I hated to see six gun territory close down, but at least Kirby Farm in Williston has brought it back to life as much as they can..It will never be the same, Disney ruined and put all these places out of business when they came to Florida...

I don't live in Florida but it's one of my favorite places. I think it's cool to see what type of stuff they had before the giant theme parks!

Back in the 1960's, before The Rat came to Orlando, Ocala/Silver Springs meant one thing to Florida kids: Six Gun Territory and Ross Allen's Reptile Institute. It was the best of road trips and anybody lucky enough to enjoy Florida before the coming of the monochromatic, soul less, stupidly overpriced theme parks remembers them fondly.
