I been playing for more than a year now and I've never had a fun hag in a match. Never. They always camp in basement and place all of their traps around the hook. How's that fun?
While I don't agree with every placement or rating, I think your scoring system and detailed explanations make this a very well-thought-out tier list overall.

I legit prefer pre-rework Freddy just because of how more interesting and creative his kit was. His Dream World actually made sense then
Wesker by far to me is the most fun killer in the game. Fun power, love his voice lines, and heâs very balanced. Thereâs counterplay on both sides and I think heâs very healthy for the game. His chase music is great too.

Wesker caused my friend group to totally drop the game.
I realize itâs the players and not the characters, but Weskers all seemed to tunnel really hard, and his power makes no sense as a survivor who doesnât spend days reading all the add ons.
Iâm kinda shocked you said Pinhead is too simple since he has one of the most complex kits of recent characters. Given that you have to incorporate an incredibly difficult to use anti loop with a good map wide slowdown that requires skill to use well.

Wraith has one of the simplest abilities which requires little to now knowledge and yet it get's a higher rating than many very unique abilities like Dredge i.e.

đ As for the list, I can vaguely agree with some, heavily disagree with many others. Especially in the fun department. Giving Knight a 1 was extremely harsh, especially since there killers that actually are way worse. To me, I guess.

I never played knight, but I have seen vids of ppl using him, he doesnât sound that bad⊠and saying hag is better than someone like Knight and Wesker for things like sounds is abysmal. Bias definitely went into it and from what I saw in the comments, Kyto essentially rated Knight on the way some people play him -- something that he does take into consideration with, e.g., Bubba who is really only played 1 particular way 99 % of the time but is treated as if people do play a different way.

Deathslinger is not even close to the Huntress gotta disagree with you there. One is about ranged damage, the other is about bringing enemies into you for hits. There's also the unique chain break mechanic as well. The 2 are only "similar" because they're both slow ranged killers.
Not only that but the aiming, having to reload, and how pallets effect them make them completely different. The only thing they have in common is ranged attack.
The man called trickster huntress but you throw your hatchets faster. This man cannot be allowed to rank ranged killers.
The only thing that they have in common is bad hitboxes making me not want to play against them.

I think the fun factor should work as an overall
Wesker most certainly does belong in DBD. You may say he doesnât because he has more quips than most of the other killers, but he is from a horror franchise, they just chose the version of him from RE5 which while an intimidating character, isnât exactly scary but has tons of charisma. Not every killer has to be some psycho murderer with abusive parents or something, there is space for those who are just genuinely power-hungry asshats. Although, Wesker was experiemented on as a child along with others in a pretty brutal fashion, so he has that going for him.
I donât know, I feel it unfair to say a character doesnât belong if you didnât even bother to look up a summary of his backstory. If I didnât know anything about say⊠the new female killer that everyone said was lame (I already forgot her name lol), I would say she doesnât belong. Hell, even with it she kinda doesnât
imo i think wesker fits perfectly into dead by daylight since the game has become more of an action-horror rather than scary-horror.
I feel like Deathslinger's ability was actually pretty creative, because when you think about it, creating a killer with a literal gun would be hard to make balanced, so I feel like they did a good job in that department. I also feel like he is almost nothing like Huntress except for his anti-loop (and that still plays differently) and the fact he is a ranged killer. He lacks the pressure huntress can bring, and the reloading, hitting shots, and injuries regarding those shots are all completely different to Huntress.
Yeah I agree also imagine walking around a corner just to see him right there while he's using insideus or however you spell it and while your in the injured state death on hook a.k.a struggle phase and the 3 other players have already been sacrificed on the basement hooks and your searching for the hatch yeah I'd shit my pants oh yeah and let's add first person to that list even tho there no first unless your the killer the rest is possible

Man, as a Knight main I don't get how people AREN'T having fun with him. Using the guards creatively is just so much fun and makes the matches super intense.
The guards are so useful. I like his sound design too. His clunky armour, sword stab in the ground, and the triumphant " HA!".

The reason people hate knight (myself included) is just the camping, every play you see on most (not all) knights is just hook guard on hook camp then trade hooks itâs very unfun for survivor mains and there is just so many other more fun killers
Thatâs cause a lot of people only try to play him like a skull merchant when he can really be a lot more aggressive with his guards in chase and create situations of mayhem where multiple survivors are being chased.
I agree, I donât âmainâ him but I play him a lot. Heâs a ton of fun and feels great to play with his area control.

That's just facts. Multitasking and predicting survivors mid chase with guards by sound is Knight's most fun playstayes.

speaking from a survivor perspective, i think knight is a cool killer if you look at the concept only. But when put in practice, it becomes a pincer gangbang fest where the survivor gets 1-2ed by the spawns and the killer itself. it's not a bad killer, but sometimes it looks like i'm playing chess against him (no pun intended)

I find Trickster super fun to play as but not fun to play against. Same goes for Huntress and Hag. I also find Wesker very fun to go against

The character portrait has the 4 members, the killer is named after the gang of 4 members, they are a gang of 4 members. Doesn't matter if you only play as one of them they were designed and released as 4 different characters with unique voices models and animations. @@brokesse8161 I would tend to disagree, as Kyto himself took points away from Oni (or at least mentioned as a negative) that his cosmetics mostly look very same-y in his opinion, so I think that factoring in Legionâs cosmetics is valid, and Iâd argue that itâs important, as half of the four killers that make up the Legion are only accessible through cosmetics, and while I donât think they have a 10/10 design, I think itâs very solid, creative, and lends itself to some super cool cosmetic ideas, as we have seen. And I think ignoring that aspect of the character is a little bit unfair, but thatâs just me.

In a game full of killers that are either deformed, monstrosities, spirits, or that have been kept alive by The Entity for possibly centuries, thereâs people like the members of The Legion ( and Ghostface ), that are just..ordinary humans, albeit psychopathic ones, that carry around knives with them. Thereâs nothing supernatural about them, theyâre just normal humans..that like to stab people to death. This, I feel like makes them stand out and feel very unique compared to the other killers.

I honestly like the Knight a lot.
Upon release, I felt very let down because of the power. But over time, I learned that Knight thrives more on information than regression. It really upsets me that everyone sees Knight as just: "put guard down. Survivor leave loop. Hit survivor". Because you can do some really cool plays with the guards, with perks like discordance and surveillance. I think there are cooler and better killers than Knight, but if you are strategic ( and don't play in a boring way ) then Knight is pretty awesome
When I found out the Knight was generally disliked I was shocked. I mean it's a knight and who doesn't love knights? They're so cool. Having multiple units on the map is such a unique ability and I love the strategic approach in it. Now I get that many don't like his ability because it's not really an ability that actively helps you in chase like huntress but more based on macro management and strategy. I think the Knight is great for people that come from RTS games but that makes him not really interesting to play for others since he is not an instant reward character.
They wanted the Clown to be more grotesque and disturbing rather than scary, you can see this in his Mori as well.
Fun fact: if you play as hag against me, If you listen closely, you can hear someone shouting âI HATE HAG!â

Dredge is my favourite killer they've added to the game, maybe ever. In my opinion he's really fun to play and even more fun to play against - i love getting jumpscared by him and I love jumpscaring survivors by popping out of lockers right next to them. He's not overpowered but not too weak, he's creative, and imo just the most silly, fun killer they've added in a while
Dredge is actually the perfect m1 killer, tons of mobility, the ability to jumpscare is cool as hell and i love the nighttime, actually puts the horror into a horror game.
The only thing I hate going against dredge is nightfall. It's really frustrating when I try to do anything he is effectively silent for atleast a minute without any counter.
This may sound weird, but: what I like about Knight & Trapper is the Creativity of their Powers. With Trapper, you can place traps in the Weirdest spots that Surv don't expect until they step on it. As for Knight, you can use his Guards around Walls and different floors to chase Surv who drop Pallets or Vault, as well as for Predicting Surv Pathing in chase or Multi-task Chasing 2 Survs
That Said, do I want to play them every game? NO!, but when I feel like goofing around, I gravitate towards them and usually have fun doing so
The thing I hate about wesker other than him being overplayed, is that his power encourages tunneling. You could just chase the same survivor when theyâre fully infected and thereâs nothing they can do about it, and when you finally have a breather to spray, he gets killer instinct to where you are..
I mean, yes and no. your infection does jot progress while on hook and I believe it goes back to 50% if it's more than 50%. if it's less than 50% then it just remains. which gives around 62 seconds to heal, and find the med spray. I have read that one of his addons that increases how fast you get infected was bugged awhile back and I'm unsure if that was changed. if it wasn't, then you only get around 36 seconds off of unhook (at 50% infection)
Wait what I've just focused on utilizing the bound ability and it's add-ons eh I only really pay attention to the infection stuff while play nemesis
because teleporting through walls is somehow more creative than creating literal guards that you can control to do stuff for you
Holy knight L, dude heâs like one of the coolest killers in the game and his sound is so cool, especially with the ghosts sounds and their laughing and haunting. He may not be the most fun to play against because he can be very toxic, but playing as him is so so fun
Honestly playing against knight is so dreadful, I quit before he was added so I don't know much counterplay but getting 3 genned isn't much fun, and sometimes it feels like you can't do anything if you get combo'd by the knight and whatever his lads are called

Visually there's just something funny cool with the drapes coming off her arms with the wind. All the masks are unique.

Legion is fun especially when everyone is close. Seeing more then one survivor and especially getting that 5th hit feels great and actually rewarding. I love the speedy movement. The visual animation and appearance is great. Gives me some Purge type vibes. They're my 2nd main. They're a killer who has alot of potential for outfits. And since they're more then an M1 killer I'd say his fun is 8/10

I think Sadako can be fun if your opponents aren't super coordinated. And the invisibility Add-ons are so nice. I think she should be higher.
Condemn playstyle i really like playing and playing against, but most people that play DBD hate anything that requires you to learn how to play against it and therefore just hemogonises every killer into an M1 killer or a super fast paced killer capable of getting downs quick or a ranged killer. Sadakos not allowed to be a balanced but also kinda bad version of tombstone micheal x hag.

I completely disagree with the Trapper placement. He's actually a pretty good killer. Like for sure he could do with a buff. I think that he should carry the light bag off the bat and and also the trap should down you if your already injured, and also the traps should give the sloppy Butcher affect. I think it should potentially give you the deepwound effect, too.

yes clown is unbearable to play against and blight has a ton of counterplay and you have to make quick decisions to counter him

I feel like I'm one of the rare people to enjoy playing against condemn Sadako. I like that it is incredibly different to any other play style in the game. The biggest problem is just that people have no idea how to play against it. Aside from being slugged, you are literally constantly doing something, and the game can feel incredibly close at times. The slugging can also be managed by a team who knows how to play against her, and I think it is definitely able to be countered in solo-q IF one or two of your teammates also know how to counter it (depending on how good the killer is at the strategy). I haven't actually played condemn Sadako as killer, but it looks like it can be one of the more fun and unique play-styles in the game and I want to learn how to do it some day. Even Sadako's normal play style doesn't seem that boring to me, although it definitely lacks pressure a lot of the time.
Trickster's counter-play is map dependent but it very much exists, and people who say there is none are wrong. I enjoy playing against Trickster's because of the fact they never expect people to be able to properly counter them. Countering them CAN be strange though, requiring you loop objects you would never in your life normally loop, like some random rock. You might end up taking an M1 hit, but it will at least avoid the scenario of running in the open just getting pummeled by knives until you die. Once you take the M1, usually you can make it to a taller loop with a pallet due to the speed boost before the Trickster has a chance to pull out their knives and score easy close up hits. At worst you take a few knives on the way there. Of course, there are some maps that are definitely awful against him, but I'd say a majority of maps he can be countered on. Especially any with common tall loops/structures. You can literally see people in your game of Trickster blatantly failing to counter-play against him, RUNNING INTO THE OPEN ON FULL HEALTH away from both a pallet and some taller IMPORTANTLY rounder and more even in shape structures. Trickster struggles most around the smaller (not too small) and more circular tall structures. Especially with the new Made for This and Hope combo, good luck catching some survivors on Trickster. I would much rather play against Trickster than Skull Merchant or Clown, and depending on Knight's play-style, Knight.

I love the trapper, because when people are too blind or too stupid, itâs the best because they have the final three generators or whatever near reach other. Itâs an instant win for the trapper because he can lock down one of them with his bear traps, and then focus on the other two making it very fun to play as.
I played in the snowy map and I was on the second floor and my teammates all jumped off as I sat there wondering why cause I didnât hear anything, so I walked back in to get a gen when I saw a figure across the room walk past a doorway out of view. Contemplating who it was along with if it was just my screen glitching I realized it connected a direct path to me, and thatâs when I saw ghost face appear in front of me.
I understand that this is completely your opinion but Knight a 1 in fun is just wrong. He changes how survivors have to play in loops or shuts them down immediately and even if the guards act stupid sometimes they still keep a survivor busy but they can land some hilarious hits and I've seen people use dead hard or bodyblock them. Being able to just causally break walls, pallets and add 5% gen regression whenever is just nice because it takes out some mundane multi tasking that every killer has to do. I'll also say from the few knights I've versed it wasn't an unfun experience compared to other killers. Using his power slows him down enough were it doesn't feel oppressive. Knight can't camp hooks with his power well but basement can be an issue but basement camping is always an ossue no matter what killer it is.
I guess you liked to watch a Knight camping hooks with his guards huh? Every single Knight i have played against plays like that. And tunnels at 5 gens. Sure, play how you want. But thats why he belongs on the bottom.

I think hillbilly is pretty fun mostly because he was the very first killer i ever used. I do agree its pretty hard to use his chainsaw because of all the random shit across most maps but there are the occasional maps where his chainsaw ability becomes very useful. I usually just use his chainsaw ability to get around the map but whenever i manage to one shot someone its very satisfying. He appearance is decent but i got a bunch of things for him to make him look fucking terrifying. I used the Halloween style where his eyes glow orange and his hammernis covered in barbwire. Im still working on making his chainsaw better but i think hes like an 8/10. My opinion
Also when playing against him I'm fucking on the edge of my seat because hearing that chainsaw behind you is terrifying
I also think he's fun, because when you perfect your movement with him, he feels like a highspeed vehicle and his chainsawing survivors with a sertain level off precision is satisfaying.

Freddy is someone I run so much, I just love his power, weak or not. And giving him perks like Face The Darkness and the ability to make gens louder, he's always been a favorite. I do highly agree with the rating đ

I'm here to be the one Twins main who's salty that Blight, a killer whose power amounts to just running fast and bumping into things, got a higher creativity score than Twins, a killer who literally splits in two different characters with their own strengths and weaknesses (compared to one another. I know that Charlotte is technically an M1 killer but since she's Victor's counterpart, I think they should be viewed in comparison to each other)

I find now that The Original Killers are balanced and easier to play against as a Survivor but the new killers are almost impossible to escape from at times.
I feel as kyto was being a bit biased on the knight like his ability should be like a ten because itâs so creative. Although he is not very fun to play against I think he is very fun to play as. Overall I think the knight needs more love
I find Spirit very fun to play as but sheâs my main so maybe Iâm bias but I like being able to freely traverse around the map and catch up to survivors quickly plus she bring a real challenge towards tracking survivors with their scratch marks and trying to guess where they are through breathing

Yo! Been playing the game for a bit now and I gotta say your channel is really cool, I discovered it on this video! I have a few remarks if interested.
I think the points youâve made about Oni, Blight and MikaĂ«l are very good.
Look, I know the knight is hated by everybody in their mother at that point but I try to appreciate everything any killer has to offer.
Knight is not my favorite but I think the points youâve made are a bit harsh.
Like say what you will, but on the survivorsâ side, thereâs a lot of mind games and counter play to him, even rewarding players for juking the guards. Yeah the 3 gen meta is really common with knight but why put a 7 for Bubba on fun factor and a miserable 1 for knight when they have that common issue. And donât tell me thereâs more counterplay to face-camp than the 3 Gen or that itâs more frequent.
I agree to below his grade for that but playing him is really fun (personally I would give him overall 6 maybe? But I see why would someone would put it lower, but 1 just feels like a hate boner at that point).
Also I think saying his sound design doesnât fit the game is strange; like his sound design is good, that is objective, however your point applies to a lot of killers, like Onryoâs, Blightâs, or Weskerâs sound design, by that logic, donât fit the game, but I do think they sound cool, I guess it depends on where you draw the line.
However for creativity, putting it below someone Legion is just straight up wrong, or at least give Legion a 3 then, no offense but it makes no sense. The guards have nuances to them (personality/effect of each guard, even if slim for new players/design) , it has counterplay and especially theyâre not just "zombies" like that a was not a good comparison. I think heâs one of the most creative killers out there, with more creative input than anyone else in the game.
But at the end of the day, really like the video, keep up the good stuff! đ
For me, Leg is the most fun simply because of the speed and chains having a really addictive aspect for me

As soon as you listed the points you would consider for the ranking I lnew that Legion would probably be in low tier. Yes, there is not much to them but thats exactly why I main them. Just running around on some kind of steroids with your mixtape tuned up and stabbing people is all the fun factor I need XD. I love the simplicity and its great character design that you still manage to create a fun character without there being much to it. So yeah, thats my take. Also Susie is best girl.

Iâm kind of bias towards Sadako because she is one of my mains. I think she should be higher, I donât play the condemned play style so I used majority of the invisibility add ons and I use the TVs for map traversal mostly. I love how short she is because you can play a lot of mind games. đ I really enjoyed the video!!
Its interesting to see a rating system for ranking however it didnt seem well thought out or consistent. Also Dredge came out after Onyro so she was only similar to Wraith when released. Dredge is even less creative if u factor that.
Yeah, it might've been better to rate them in the order they were released, rather than alphabetical. That would give a better context for the creativity rating.

Blights is actually counterable sure he has some busted add ons but unlike a bubba you can still do something against a blight if your in basment against a bubba you got two options wait for 5 minutes to give your team time to escape or kill yourself and join a new match

Hillbilly main here and, I get it. I started dbd after the reworks and Iâm not great at him, but I just LOVE it. Sure, hitting walls and missing sucks, but actually getting a hit is so satisfying.

Let me tell you something. I had a ton of fun playing as the Knight. I killed 3 survivors out of 4, by my own hands (which by the way is always awesome to do with any killer) and his play style is unique. I agree he could look scarier, like, if he had no helmet or maybe a better one. But 1? Come on, any killer with just a boring old knife is a 1. I think he deserves at least a 6 for fun. He should be at least a C rank. Sound is decent, I think the voice acting is good and it's fun to surprise survivors by sending a guard to break a gen. It is fun. Seriously I think the Knight is at least a 6 for fun and at least a C rank.
There is a trend between English-speaking content creators to shit on the knight, he is actually very fun to play, or at least way more than the shitty skull merchant. Don't listen to them, just enjoy him.

I agree with a lot of these, I personally enjoy stealth killers and wish they would be more creative with killers coming out (Artist, Knight, and Skull Merchant have been pretty meh)
this is an excellent scoring system. And I am So happy to see sound design get some love. Sadako is a personal highlight for me. This was "my" chapter because it's my favourite franchise. And I really think they nailed it.

I want to say one thing in defense of the knights sound design
The sounds he makes while walking, falling, lunging, and getting hit by a pallet are just peak sounddesign to me
They perfectly fit for what you expect a giant knight in bulky armour to sound like
His powers sound design is average maybe a little bit above average
But what would you want the power to sound like if itâs about summoning a ghost
Also i think that originality of the power should be a little better in terms of score because at the end of the day heâs the only killer in the game that can summon 3 other killers and have them actually do something useful

Maybe its just me but Knight is not as bas as you make it seem, his guards make it seem like youre not alone as a killer which is nice.
