Was looking to buy and use these but after seeing the Amazon reviews...it appears they don't work as well as advertised. Why all the trouble with a simple concept? Most were stating the screws strip out and can not be used in end grain?

While we can’t control what people post, we can offer best practices to deliver the best possible performance.
Predrilling with a 7/32” predrill through the decking only will offer the strongest pull down force when installing into end grain material. It is always advised to give us a call at 800-518-3569 to assist with your specific application.
