    This was very informative I’m definitely getting one, I’m one of those people that need to go through an analog process like this, looks so much fun and tasty. Thanks!

    Thanks for the demo! I’m considering buying a pre-mil and restoring it.

    Did you try any of them? I wonder how the temperature is, on mine I don't do it so quick between shots and it's a post millenium model which seems to be pretty nice and consistent temperature wise. The Pre millenium models supposedly get too hot, but with you doing it quick between shots I think that might actually work out well.

      I have done similar number and they came out great . Normally I use two machines making one on each . Turning them off . Then back on for another . :) I have had each , I do like the premil better , two switch , Brass element . The newer ones with a pstat just didnt perform as well . I gave that one to my daughter and her husband wisked it down to his shop :)

    Thank you!
    You clearly care about the folks trying to get the best from these machines!
    I, for one, truly appreciate your videos.

    Great video and a fun setup! It has however made me question whether I need to be going for a LP EP or professional? really confused.

      I like EP and ones with no pressure stat . Though i like the Idea of the bigger boiler :)

    Very interesting. They all looked good but I wonder what they tasted like. By the third shot, the temperature must have been way too high?

      I have done a few experiments , even being on much longer the Espresso temp always stayed about 160 - 165 . :)

      Even if the temp is high you can bring it down with a small trick. Have a pitcher with ice cold water right next to the machine. As soon as you finish with shot X (feel if group is overheat), dip the portafilter into the pitcher and leave it there for roughly a minute, then wipe and lock it back to the machine and let 1st Law of Thermodynamics do the rest while you grind and prepare your follow up shot. You can easily get 2 additional shots at the right temp (may have to leave the poetafilter longer the second time around). I have managed to pull 5 shots back to back using that trick and had a stable 91-94C for almost every single one of them.
      Note: I have the Stradivari model with a slightly larger group head which helps with overheating but it’s not much of a difference from the standard LP.

    Nice video, can you pull a double distributed in two separate cups, then steaming milk, to create two flat whites in parallel?

      @theespressocouple  Před 3 lety +1

      I have only rarely done the two cups , Its hard to get equal amounts , :)

    Interesting, many CZcams guys say you only can make 2-3, obviously not correct. Enjoy your presentations

      I think they are referring to the grouphead overheating and resulting in a bitter extraction. Presumably if the machine were to be turned off between pulls then this would cool the grouphead.

    0.7-0.8 bar. Not 7 or 8 bar. 🙂

      If you're talking about boiler pressure yeah, brew pressure 7 or 8 bars would be good.
